A/N: We've hit 10k reads! Holy shit i was not expecting to get that many reads so quickly in less then a fucking day, like seriously, this story gained over 400 reads in the span of 20 hours, you people are unbelievable, i really needed this news today, and so to thank you I'm updating back to back, so enjoy, I'll see you at the end of the chapter.
After being told everything from Ozpin and their little inner group, i couldn't stop thinking about what they told me. To think the Grimm had an actual creator that was planning the extinction of humanity on this planet, it was a scary thought for me to handle.
My rest of my thoughts for my walk back to my room were mainly revolving around how to fix Lilith as fast as possible to stop that fate from happening. I only stopped thinking when i stopped to open the door to my room. But when i stepped in and right as i was about to drop all of my stuff, i couldn't help but stop as i saw that Velvet had passed out on my bed. I assumed that she was here waiting for me, and i felt bad for leaving her alone for so long.
I drop the rest of my stuff and i go into my closet to grab a blanket, i then covered Velvet in the blanket and i could notice that a faint smile grew on her face as she snuggled into the new found warmth. I couldn't help but feel pure joy at seeing her at peace like this, it was moments like these that you lived for.
With that thought, one thing came to my mind, and gave me a renewed vigor to keep on working for now; and that was to protect Velvet from the approaching threat. I turned off my rooms light, and i sat down at my desk and i turned on my desk light and started a new local file on my scroll as i pulled up Lilith's blueprints that i had saved in my suits personal computer.
I then started highlighting on what was injured and damaged on Lilith, i highlighted several parts, and saw what needed to be completely replaced, and what needed just some basic fixes, it was a lot of work just figuring this out, and i haven't even started on the actual process. Thankfully i would have help from the General, so that was as least going to speed up the process extremely quickly.

Eventually I turn around in my chair and i saw that Velvet was peacefully snoring in my bed, and i felt the strong desire to join her, but i fought against it for now and look at the time, it was almost 11 o'clock. I pulled Lilith's blueprints, and what was injured, i then started to take notes on each individual parts that would need attention, at the very least i could give Atlas the lead that they would need so that they could fix her as soon as possible.
I continued to work until my eyes were starting to hurt to look at my screen, but i continued to work on the guide on how to repair Lilith. That was until i heard a rustling behind me, i quietly turn around to see that Velvet was moving now. I tried to not make any more noise, but it wasn't working because she noticed that i was up now,
"Sarah, why are you still awake, you should be asleep," She reached for her scroll and her eyes shot open as she saw it, "Sarah it's 4 in the morning, were you awake this entire time!" I immediately saved the file and closed it to see that the time was actually 4 in the morning. I look up to her and i give her a bit of an apologetic look,
"Sorry Velvet, there was just a lot of work to be done, you can go back to bed, don't worry about me." I reassured her, as i turned around and reopen the file on Lilith, and started working again, but i heard footsteps behind me, i turn around to be met with a hug by Velvet,
"Sarah, you need your sleep, i know you care about Lilith a lot, and i don't know why you have been working so hard recently, you know you can tell me if it's been bothering you." She murmured into my shoulder, i couldn't help but feel a wave of emotions hit me, i wanted to tell her everything, how she was in danger, how everyone was in danger from the Grimm. But i fought against my desires and i manage to keep it in as i buried my head into Velvet's hair.

"It's fine Velvet, it's just been, a stressful the last few days, you don't need to worry about me, you just sleep for now, you've had a long day." I stated to her, but judging by the way how she was now hugging my even tighter i don't think that made her very happy.
"Sarah, i care very deeply for you, and i know your being troubled by something, i don't mind if you can't tell me, i understand whole-heartedly, but please i want you to at least care for yourself." I pull back from her hug and i can see that her eyes were starting to get red, and i felt my heart break when i saw what i did to her. I hugged her again and i stroked her hair gently,
"I'm sorry for making you worry about me Velvet, it's just, I've been talking with Ozpin and Ironwood and the things we discussed, i wasn't as ready for it as i was expecting, maybe that's why I've been so focused on making sure that Lilith would be repaired as fast as possible." I felt Velvet shudder a bit at what i said, i could feel something wet go down my shoulder.
"Sarah, i don't know what you got yourself into, but what matters more to you after what you discussed with the headmasters, fixing Lilith, or caring for yourself and staying with me." I was shocked at what Velvet said, and i didn't say anything. After awhile she pulled away and she looked me directly in the eyes and i could see that there was tears dancing on the edge of them.
"Please Sarah, answer me truthfully here, what matters more Li-" I didn't let her finish, i didn't want her to finish, i couldn't look at that face of hers any more, my heart couldn't take it any longer.
"You Velvet dammit, i would pick you over Lilith every day, never forget that okay." I tried to keep my emotions in control, but they wanted to spill over as i felt everything come over my like a tidal wave.
"Thank you" I heard Velvet whisper into my ear, and i felt my emotions finally break through as i let it all out, and i started to cry into Velvet's shoulder, and i felt my eyes get extremely heavy as everything went dark.
I felt Sarah go limp in my arms, and i felt my already unstable heart leap out in panic. I move my finger to check for a pulse just in case, but thankfully i quickly heard her start snoring, i couldn't help but let out a laugh, to think that she pushed herself so hard that she just passed out. I smiled knowing that she is at least finally starting to get the rest that she deserved, even if she didn't choose to do so herself.
I pick her up bridal style and i put her in her bed, and i made sure to close the blinds to her room so the sun wouldn't wake her up. I then snuggled up next to her, this was actually our first time sleeping together and i couldn't help but feel my heart jump around in my chest in excitement.
Although before i could fall asleep, i remembered what she said, how she would pick me over Lilith, it made my heart swell with happiness, to know that i was more important to her the Lilith. To be honest i really thought that she was going to pick Lilith over me, their bond with each other will probably far stronger then what we could ever have. But the look that she made afterwards told me that she was not lying, and that she would actually do it. It made me think that i had an expectation to live up to, but for now, i will enjoy staying by her side.
I then cuddled right next her and i put my arm over her as i started to feel my eyes grow heavy as i felt sleep start to take over, today was a good day.
