I was rushing through the halls of the stadium as the voice of a thousand spectators cried out in excitement, i look at my scroll and i realized that i was now 3 minutes late. Yes i know how insignificant this is, but since I'm with Professor Oobleck, i was concerned what he would do to me if i was late since I've heard enough horror stories from his students. I felt a chill go up my spine as i thought about it, but i just continued to sprint through the halls, until i finally open the door to the spectators room.

I almost collapse to the ground but i look up long enough to see that there was a camera. Which wasn't part of the deal, but i push past the pain in my lungs as i move to the seat next to Oobleck, i straighten my clothes as i moved forward so i was facing the camera.

Oobleck turned towards me and the look he gave me was enough to freeze stone, "Miss Sarah, you are 6 minutes late, your lucky that we are on commercial break for now, but please don't test my patience in the coming days, is that understood." He coldly stated to me, i nod in response as i manage to get out a reply,

"Yes Professor Oobleck, won't happen again." I said to him as his look began to turn sour, he was instantly in my face and had his finger pointed at me, "It's DOCTOR Oobleck, thank you very much, i didn't spend 4 years earning a PhD for nothing" He then shot back to his seat and took a brief sip of coffee. Something tells me that there is probably more in that coffee then what normal people would be drinking.

With Oobleck's brief outburst out of the way i take a second to take a breather, and i looked at the roster for who will be fighting in the tournament, it appeared that it was team RWBY versus team ABRN from Haven. I briefly read up on the description on team ABRN since i knew nothing about them and i already knew enough about team RWBY.

I was broken out of my research by professor Oobleck who was tapping my shoulder at speeds that shouldn't be possible, "Yes Doctor?" I asked him, he merely help up 3 fingers, then 2, then 1, then i noticed that the camera in front of me turned red. We were on i guess.

"Folks, sorry for the delay, but welcome to the Vytal Festival, I am Doctor Oobleck, and joining me for commentating this year is Pilot Sarah. For those of you who don't know how the Tournament will be working this year, there will be 36 teams competing in a 4v4, where the winning team will send in 2 fighters, and the winner of those bouts will do a 1v1, until only 1 team is left standing to claim the glory known as victory." Oobleck spoke into the camera at lightning speeds and i couldn't help but role my eyes at him.

I straighten myself as i started to talk to the camera, "That's right, so far for today we have 36 matches lined up for your enjoyment today, the first teams competing today is team RWBY from Beacon, and team ABRN from Haven, knowing team RWBY personally i think that we will have an explosive opening match today, don't you agree Doctor?" I turn towards Oobleck with a smile, and he seemed a little caught off guard by my switch to commentator mode, but he barely missed a beat as he raised his glasses as he started to spew facts about team ABRN and RWBY to the camera.

The first few minutes was pretty boring with the two of us discussing how the fight should go, and even though i was rooting for team RWBY, the more i heard about team ABRN the more concerned i was for the 1st years girls, they were going against 3rd years, but i trusted in the young girls abilities.

"Well it looks like the two teams are ready to face off against each other, now to decide the arena that they will be fighting in," We turned off screen as the red light turned off momentarily as the screen we were in before showed a roulette of the different areas they could fight in. It spun for awhile until it stopped on an ice field and a lava field.

I took command of the conversation as the light turned red, "I'm not sure how they will deal with the two contrasting fields, if the teams aren't careful they could be in serious trouble if they aren't aware of the hazards on the fields, but it seems like it's very possible that Reese Chloris will have the advantage in this fight because of her hover board." I stated off to the camera, i then lean forward a bit as i got ready to watch the fight start.

But Oobleck puts in his own comment before the bell rang, "I totally agree with you Sarah, this fight will be a hard one if team RWBY wishes to move forward with the tournament, but we can only sit back and watch this soon to be amazing fight." Oobleck speed run his opinions before he stopped to take another sip of his "coffee".

We were now both silent as both me and Oobleck were waiting until the bell went off, and the two teams running away from each other, Oobleck took the first chance to speak here, "Here we can see the two teams are splitting up to gain more control over the grounds, but it's obvious that the ice isn't playing too well for either teams, i wonder how will they overcome this." I noticed that Oobleck furrowed his brow as he analyzed everything that was happening, i then looked over to Blake and i saw that she was fighting Reese over the ice.

"It would appear that the first members to start fighting are Blake, and Reese, i want to say that Reese has the upper hand fighting in the ice zone but this is Blake, if she fights smartly then she can take control of this fight." Oobleck then turned towards me in confusion, "Care to explain how Blake can with this fight despite being at a disadvantageous situation." I leaned back in my chair a bit as i started to get excited for the fight.

I then shot forward with a grin, as i started to see that Blake was demonstrating her mastery over her Semblance, "Simple Doctor, I've seen how Blake fights in class, she likes to be fast and mobile and she does this through her semblance, her semblance when is used she leaves behind a solid copy for a brief moment, and in that moment she is able to push off of it, it takes an extreme amount of dexterity and timing that few can master," I stated proudly to the camera. As i looked down and i saw that Reese tried to fight Blake in close quarter combat, but Blake caught her off guard as she blitzed her with several attacks by using her Semblances as a way to move forward proving my point.

Blake was then able to knock Reese high into the air, she transformed her board into a gun and tried to shoot at Blake but before she could get a clean shot in she hit the ground, hard, and i could hear the crack from here. But it was stuff like that, that the people wanted since their roar was rattling the booth me and Oobleck were in.

"Sarah I'm not sure how you were able to read the situation so well, but you were 100% correct, simply astonishing. Oh what do we have here," We then turned our attention to a different corner of the fight as Oobleck pushed up his glasses, "Well it appears that the two hand to hand combat experts of the teams are fighting each other and as you said earlier Sarah, it's explosive!" Oobleck shout out as the camera turned towards the fight of Yang and Arslan, to two girls were trading blows and narrowly dodging hits. Until both of their fists collided and caused a giant explosion through the entire area.

I let out a long whistle as the dust began to settle and you could see that Yang was pushed into the ice area and was struggling to stand up straight, "It appears that Yang Xiao Long is in trouble, can she recover in time or is it too late for her!" I nearly shouted into the mic, Arslan then moved forward with blinding speed and knocked Yang back, but it wasn't enough to knock her out. Which was safe to say a fatal mistake.

But as Yang looked up from being knocked down, she noticed that was standing right next to Nadir Shiko, who aimed his gun at Yang, but then Ruby came in for the save by freezing his legs, Oobleck then lunged forward towards the camera in unbridled joy, "This folk is a perfect example of how to protect your teammates in battle, Miss Rose was able to disengage her opponent as she is able to find the time she needed to protect her sister, well done from team RWBY's young leader." I nodded in response as i saw that the guy who was sneaking up on Ruby and decided to open up his mouth and ruin the sneak attack, who then preceded to get knocked into the next dimension from Weiss.

"And that right there folks is why a sneak attack should remain a sneak attack, or your end up like Bolin, but the attempt was a good one nonetheless, i think he lost his patience at the end there." I calmly stated, but then a sinister smile grew on my face, " now let's see how he handles two members attacking at the same time!" As i bring this up for the audience just like on cue Weiss and Ruby attacked Bolin at the same time. With Weiss using one of her Glyphs to shoot Ruby into the air, and with the two attacking him they are able to send him flying backwards.

Oobleck took a quick sip of his coffee as he seemed like he started to grown a bit uneasy, "While team RWBY is doing well, it does appear that team ABRN is struggling more then i realized, i fear that if they don't manage to find a way to team up together and deal with the teamwork and fighting prowess of team RWBY, then team ABRN could be defeated here." I nodded in response to Oobleck's words. Although they were true i was still biased towards team RWBY winning, even if I'm supposed to be neutral during these types of things.

I then looked back at Bolin, and instead of attacking Weiss or Ruby he dodged all of their attacks and kept running, "I'm not sure what's happening, but it seems that Bolin is running away from the fight, what is his plan?" I murmured this more to myself then anything else, but I'm sure everyone else heard me. I continued to watch as he quickly grabbed a fire dust crystal from the environment and tossed it to Reese, who stuck it into her hover board, giving it the properties of fire, she then moved to melted the ice that surrounded Nadir freeing him.

Oobleck after noticing this move seemed awe struck by the scenario, "Fascinating, to use the arena to your advantage by using it, to not only guide yourself out of harms way, but to use it so another teammate can use it to help yet another teammate in distress, simply genius." he marveled at, i couldn't deny it was a smart play, but would it be enough to put them back in the game.

Reese then started to use this moment to start on the offense again on Blake, but she started to run away and something that we the spectators noticed was that Blake used a shadow of herself and left it out as bait, we all waited in silence as she went for it, and Blake caught he in a trap she created with the string on her weapon, then using her speed knocked her out of the arena.

Oobleck then cringed at the attack since it also almost dropped her aura to 0, "Oooh, she should of worn a helmet" He advised as we turned out attention towards the rest of the fight, where we can see Weiss using her semblance to near perfection.

I took the lead on this part as Weiss continued to use her semblance, "Here we can see Weiss Schnee using her glyph to near perfection as she continues to toys her with her enemies." I could of sworn i saw a smirk grown on her face as she formed a frozen death ball of ice with the two members of ABRN trapped in it. The ball started rolling toward the out of bounds, but then their leader Arslan showed up.

"Could this be Arslan's last stand to rescue her teammates before they are eliminated?" Oobleck quipped into the microphone, before Arslan's shattered all of our expectation as the ball of ice is turned to dust from a single hit from her.

"What a monster, being able to break a large piece of ice like this, the training to pull something like this is incredible, but i fear it may be reaching the climax of this battle." I announced as i saw Weiss raising an Ice wall, and Blake showed up to use her rope to slingshot Yang even further, and together they were all able to use their own powers to slingshot Yang at blinding speeds towards a still recovering team ABRN, knocking them all out i one move. The crown screamed out so loud that i had to cover my ears from the noise, but i gritted my teeth and tried to smile for the camera.

"And that's the match, Doctor, i know i said this was going to be an explosive match, but i did not expect such a high caliber of skill, teamwork, and adaptability in this fight!" I nearly shouted this out because of the crowd outside the booth was so loud, but it was also because i could also feel the adrenaline pumping through out my body. And with this, it's the first win for Beacon.

"I couldn't of said it better Sarah, there was for sure times where this fight will be used in the future for examples for students to follow. But don't worry folks, there is plenty of fights left in the day, and with it more action. We will be right back after a word from our sponsors." Oobleck then nodded at the camera as the light turned off, and i couldn't help but release a heavy breathe.

"God, i feel tired, and it's just the first match of the day." I groaned out, but i heard Oobleck started to chuckle a bit at me. I turned towards him and he offered me his coffee, i kindly rejected it but then he said, "Miss Sarah, this was the first match, we have 35 more to go, i suggest you get something to keep you going" He then moved the coffee mug closer to me, and i gingerly grab it and take a small sip of it. I almost spit out the "coffee" immediately, but i somehow manage to force down the foul liquid.

I then heard Oobleck release a hearty laugh, i couldn't help but laugh as well. But seriously what the fuck is in here? Is this even coffee at this point?
