"WHERE IS THAT BITCH AT!" I take my helmet off and i look back to see who just barged right into my hanger and i was slightly surprised when i saw that Coco was standing at the door with her mini gun already out. She locked eyes with Velvet who was standing in the corner, and i reacted quickly before anybody could get hurt, i reached inside of Lilith and i grabbed an A-Wall, and i threw it immediately in from of Velvet.

Thankfully i did do that because Coco started to shoot at Velvet, but thankfully the A-Wall was able to bounce all of her bullets right off. But after she stopped shooting i couldn't help but feel the rage boil over inside of me.

"Ms. Adel, i don't know what you plan to do, but i highly suggest you calm yourself before i have to forcefully remove you from here." She just spit at me and she started to spin up her mini gun, and i jumped off of Lilith's chassis and i use my grapple to quickly go over to Coco and i just stomped on top of her mini gun. Effectively making her useless.

I then pulled out my RE-45 and pointed it towards her making my intentions clear that i was not dealing with this bullshit. "Okay, Coco, i gave you a chance to stand down, now i'm taking matters into my own hand, if you don't explain why in the name of god why you tried to fucking kill me and your own teammate i will have you expelled from this academy." I didn't break eye contact from her, and she merely just scowled at me as she turned her mini gun back into her purse thingy.

"I honestly could care less about you, Sarah," The amount of venom she put into the way she said my name said other wise, but her focus wasn't on me, but towards a cowering Velvet who looked like she saw a demon.

"I'm here for that bitch, she has actively been avoiding all of us for the last week, and i was searching for where the fuck she was hiding away. And lo and behold you are hiding her away from me." She then took a step towards Velvet but i grabbed her shoulder and i didn't let go.

"Coco, i'm not sure what you and Velvet's relationship is or what she did. But i don't care, and i highly recommend that you leave here right now, before i have to get the authorities involved. I will not repeat myself after this. Do i make myself clear." She just looked at me, and she seemed like she still contemplated charging Velvet. Thankfully she decided against that and just shoved me away as she stormed out of the hanger.

As soon as she slammed the door shut, silence quickly filled the hanger. Then the sound of Velvet softly crying. I went up to the small girl and i saw that she looked traumatized, she was shriveled up into a small ball and was crying her heart out.

Poor girl, i couldn't help but feel sorry for her, i don't know what happened between the two of them but i didn't care. I just knew i had to help Velvet, i didn't say anything, but i got behind her and i began to slowly brush her hair. She winced at first when i touched her, and i couldn't help but feel a twinge of pain go through me that just merely touching her scared her.

But i continued to just try my best to comfort her, but eventually she passes out on the cold concrete of the hanger. I just sigh to myself, and i go back towards Lilith, and i pull out a blanket and a small pillow. I moved the blanket over her body, and i raise her head enough to put the pillow on it. I smile to myself to see that the girl was now safe and that i could get back to work on Lilith.

I go back to where i was about to finish the last weld on Lilith before i made another attempt on her, but i couldn't think of anything. My head was more confused as to what happened between Coco and Velvet. Even when i first met the two when i first arrived here, the two seemed like they already had a negative relationship.

Then i thought back to what Velvet told me, about how she broke up with one of her teammates, but would that cause Coco to act so aggressively towards this innocent girl? But then again, i thought back as to why Velvet was so understanding of me being bi, she couldn't of...

I quickly shake the thought away. I should just focus on Lilith. I put my helmet back on and i just bury the thought.

I quickly finish the last weld on Lilith, and i pull out a custom made battery i made just for Lilith, i then put it inside of her systems. And i close everything up. I was about to hit the power button, but then i noticed something on the button move.

I moved a bit closer towards whatever it was, and when i saw that it was a spider it felt like ice filled my veins and i couldn't help but release a loud screech.

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" I jumped back at the new loud noise and i fall down towards the ground with a thud. i look up and i see that i accidentally woke up Velvet,

"Sorry about that Velvet, i was about to do another attempt on Lilith, but uhm, there was a spider on the power button, and i uh, got scared." I couldn't help but feel my face light up like a bed of coals.

"So your telling me, you can face death and run into gun fire, but yet you are scared of a little spider?" I couldn't help but just be embarrassed, i just muttered a simple 'shut up' but this just made the girl laugh and soon she was rolling on the ground. I hate it so much that i had a fear to so many insects, spiders, scorpions, the bunch just terrify me.

"It's not my fault that i'm scared of them" I just pout at her, and she just laughs softly at me. My face was still burning from embarrassment, but at the very least, i was happy that Velvet actually looked happier now.

I get up from the ground, and i go back to where the power button it, and thankfully it looked like the spider left, and i let out a sigh of release. It was time to do another test on Lilith.

"Alright, well time for attempt number 19, lucky number 19 don't fail me now." I hit the power button for Lilith, and she slowly began to rise up, she began to jerk around her motions at first but then she stood up and eyed me.

"Sarah, it's good to see you again" She seemed to process something and she gives me a thumbs up.

"Power at 86%, it is good to see you as well Velvet" I was filled with excitement and i just screamed out and started to jump around like an idiot but i didn't care. I then tackle Velvet with a hug and i continue to jump around like a lunatic. But eventually i calm down enough to do a diagnostics.

"Alright, Lilith, let's go through your protocols." She opens up her hatch and i jump in and she closes the hatch.

"Protocol 1... Link with Pilot... Link established... Protocol 2... Uphold the Mission.... No current Mission... Protocol 3... Protect The Pilot. Protocols are met Sarah, I am ready for combat" I disembark from Lilith and i look back at her.

"Lilith, how are you systems running, i was able to fuel you with dust, i just want to make sure you are really running properly." She took a second and closed her eye. She most likely did a diagnostics check, but then her eye opens again and looks back towards me.

"There are changes in me, but they should not impede on my functions. But further tests will be needed to assess the changes you have made Sarah." I nod towards her, and i go to shut her down for now.

"Alright, you will have your time to shine soon enough Lilith, and i will give you an update of what happened while you were out, but for now there was a few more things i wanted to work on for now. I'll see you soon Lilith." I then shut her down and i release a breathe, and i jump off of Lilith. Then i look back towards Velvet who seemed pretty happy for now.

"I'm glad that you were able to get Lilith to work again, you were working so hard on her." I offer a small smile, but i didn't really want to talk about Lilith.

"Yah, i'm glad that i did get her to work so quickly. But, i was wondering if i could ask you a question?" She let out a sigh, like she was expecting me to ask about it.

"Let me guess, you wanted to know what was up with Coco right?" I just give her a slight now and she sits down and pats the ground in front of her. I sit down in front of her. She was about to say something, but then stopped, and she just fidgeted around a bit.

"You know, Velvet, if you want we can do a bit of a trade of sorts, you tell me what's going on between you and your team, and i tell you how i even ended up on this planet, deal?" She nodded and looked like she was more comfortable.

"Okay, but i should still tell you what's going on between me and Coco first. To be honest the problem is only with me and her specifically. Can you guess why?"

"I have my theories, but i don't want to jump the gun." She looked at me confused probably because she never heard of the expression before, but she ignores my remark and continues on.

"It's kind of awkward for me to tell you this, but the one teammate that i use to date with was actually Coco." I couldn't help but gawk at her.

"Yah, i know it's kinda hard to believe, that i also like girls, and that i was dating Coco, but it wasn't all that bad before, we did enjoy each other at times. But we weren't really made for each other. In the end I broke up with her, and she wasn't happy with it. To her that was a betrayal of her trust." I could now see where Coco was coming from, but to have that violent of a reaction, i felt like there was more that i was missing.

"I guess that's all there is too it, all of this trouble just because i broke up with her. To be honest i don't know why she hates me so much, but i'm glad i was able to talk this out with you." She gives me a small smile and i couldn't help but smile back.

"Well if that is all there is to it, i'll make sure to watch over you if she ever tries to hurt you" She moves her legs closer to herself and seemed really happy.

"thank you" she muttered it so quietly that i was barely able to hear her, but i did hear it.

"Anyways i guess you are curious as to how i got on this planet." She gives me a small polite nod, and i couldn't help but smile more at that.

"Well, my story isn't that complicated, i joined what was known as the IMC when i was 16, a bit young to be honest to join the military but it was the only thing i wanted to do. So for years i worked my way through the ranks and i eventually became a pilot, then a pilot instructor. But not too long ago i was scouted by a band of mercenaries."

"The Apex Predators, right?" I was a bit shocked that she still remembers that, i don't bring it up very often. But i continued to explain my past to her.

"Surprising you remember that, but you are correct. I was scouted by the leader of the group, Kuben Blisk, he is probably one of the most skilled pilots i ever known in my life. I was quite skilled and accomplished when he recruited me, but he still wanted to test me, so we were tasked with guarding a planet and a secret weapon that was being developed on that planet. For the main part, everything went to according to plan, and we got paid." I lean back as i began to think back towards how he left for me dead and i began to feel my nails cut into my palm.

"But right after he got paid, the way how the mission worked, it meant that he would split the money with me, and he still wanted to 'test' me, so instead of testing me on the field, he left me for dead on a planet that was about in implode on itself." Velvet seemed slightly shocked about this, that someone would leave me for dead.

"That's horrible, why would you follow someone like that?" I couldn't help but laugh at that.

"I may of had my life good at the IMC, but i had my own reasons for joining them. But if i was given the chance i would try to murder Blisk with my own hands if i could." I softly gripped my pendant, and i quickly let go.

"Well that's enough for story time, you should go meet up with your teammates, or catch up on work. I want to work on Lilith a bit before i try to field test her" She gets up and gives me a small smile before she walks out.

I just hoped that everything would work out in the end for her.

A/N: I meant to write this yesterday, but i'm not complaining, I still got this up and i'm happy that i did, even though i'm pretty sure that i didn't do all that well in this chapter. But i can only just move on from this, i've kinda reached an end to what i have planned, but i hope that i will be able to update by the weekend, and maybe again before thanksgiving.
