You were having mixed feelings. Severe mixed feelings. You loved him but he was just your best friend. If you told him, it could jeopardize your friendship. He was the only stable thing in your life.
"Y/n?" His voice cut through your thoughts.
You were sat on his couch in his dressing room and he was telling you about his day. It was a stressful one, one of his co-stars wasn't doing well and it worried him.
"Yes? sorry."
"What's going on with you? You seem off today."
"I'm fine, honest." He gave you a look, but continued to ramble on. He sat down next to you and looked at his fingers nervously.
"I'm sure the picture will be fine. They always are! Just take the few days off like the director said and when you get back it'll be fine!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" You two locked eyes. You found yourself in a daze while looking in his blue eyes. They were ethereal.
"My, I didn't know you had such pretty eyes." You felt your cheeks heat up.
"Thank you Don. I knew you had beautiful blue eyes."
He took your hand in his and gave it a tender squeeze. Those thoughts that intruded your mind had disappeared while you awaited the next move.
"I like you y/n. I like you a lot."
"I like you too, Donald. Maybe even love. That's what I was thinking of earlier and I was scared to ruin our friendship." He looked dumbfounded, but you knew he felt the same. His eyes say it all.
He pulled you close and kissed your temple.
"Will you be my girl?"
"Gladly Donald." He put his hand on your cheek and pressed a tender kiss to your lips. Holding you still and wrapping his arms around you. You did the same.
It felt right. It felt perfect.
