《[OLD] ice ice baby - toshiro hitsugaya》Chapter 4❄️

During the battle in the world of the living, Aizen used his Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu to put Toshiro under the illusion that I was Aizen, and when Toshiro ran "Aizen" through with his own sword, Hyourinmaru, the inside of my body began to freeze, my body temperature slowly decreasing. Black dots appeared before my eyes and I realized I was losing consciousness.
Toshiro's POV
My brows furrowed as I ran my sword through Aizen. Something wasn't right, it seemed too easy. Regardless, I buried my sword even deeper through his stomach. The adrenaline rushing through me was deafening, but in the distance I could hear Ichigo yelling. "What... Toshiro what are you doing??"
In that moment my brain went fuzzy and I looked at the body my sword had just impaled. It wasn't Aizen's.
(Y/n)... my best friend... my first love...
I pulled my sword out and dropped it, catching her in my arms. Blood was dripping out of her mouth and down her chin, and her torso was deep red. Her body was cold.
I was so shaken that I didn't even realize Aizen had appeared behind me, at least until he ran his own sword through me. I held (y/n) close to me as my body fell to the ground.

(Y/n)'s POV
My eyes fluttered open to a dimly lit room. There was a searing pain in my head and in my stomach. I softly ran my hand over my stomach, only to feel it wrapped in multiple layers of bandages.
Then, my hand ran over something soft. I turned my head to the side to see a white cloud of hair resting by my hips. He was kneeling beside my bed, his head buried into his folded arms, and his shoulders were slightly shaking. I touched his hair some more and he finally raised his head with wet, tired eyes. "(Y/n)..."

With the little energy I had, I slid my hand over his and squeezed it. "...Shiro—" "Don't speak... Not while I still have the guts..." His fingers interlock with mine while his other hand reaches up to hold my face. "(Y/n)..." His face was so close to mine that I could feel his cool breath on my face. "Shiro, what—?"
His soft and full lips pressed up against mine, and I could feel my body going numb. It was so unexpected, but it felt so right. My free hand subconsciously ran up his chest and into his hair as I returned his kiss. I was on cloud nine, and my heart was on the verge of exploding.
When he finally pulled away, we made eye contact and my face instantly heated up. I quickly hid my face under my blanket and whispered in a hoarse voice. "C-can you get me some cold water please? My face is burning.."
Toshiro's POV
"C-can you get me some cold water please? My face is burning.."
Hearing her cute little whimper made my own face flush, and I realize what I'd just done. I squeezed her small hand one more time and said "Y-yeah, I'll be back."
As I walked out I noticed someone standing outside the door. They saw me exit and greeted me.
"Hello Captain Hitsugaya!!"
"..Hey Momo."
Momo Hinamori is the lieutenant of Squad 5. She seemed nice, but something about her was always off to me.
"Is Captain Abarai doing alright?"
"Yeah, she's awake now. I'm going to get her some water, so I'll be back."
As I walked away I hoped that (y/n) would be okay.
(Y/N)'s POV
I turned my head at the sound of my door opening.

"You just had to live, huh?"
I glared at Momo Hinamori as those words left her mouth. As I sat up to confront her, she paced over to me and pushed my stomach hard, causing me to fall back in pain. I felt my wound open back up and blood start to soak my bandages. "Lieutenant—"
"Shut up you bitch." She ripped my bandages off and thick drops of blood began dripping down my stomach onto the floor. "Just when I thought I'd finally have a chance with Captain Hitsugaya, and you just decided to come back to life out of nowhere—"
I stared at the red handmark on her left cheek, and then at my red palm. Did I really just do that? "I wasn't dead to begin with you halfwit." I sneered at her. "Do you really think you're in Shiro's league? You must be mental."
She only held her cheek and smirked. "Captain, you should really learn to shut up, especially when you're at a complete... disadvantage."
In an instant, her foot connected with my stomach and blood spurted out of my mouth. She was fast, but not strong enough to kill me. However, I was losing blood fast and I knew I couldn't keep fighting her like this. Instead, I pretended to fall at her feet, and then proceeded to spin my legs in a circle, knocking her off her feet. Once she landed on her back, I took that moment to straddle her and pin her down. But it was too late. She disappeared right in front of me, and then reappeared behind me, her sword to my throat. My knees wobbled, and my vision went blurry. I can't bleed out now. There was only one thing I could do.
"SHIRO HELP!"
Hinamori pressed the edge of her sword even closer to my neck. "One more time, (y/n), and I'll slit your throat."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you."
That voice, it was so familiar. Before I blacked out completely, I strained out one last sentence.
"Ichigo... thank g-god..."
