《Vampire King》Chapter 3- Tired

As girls we have so many expectations that we think we need to live up too, girls have always been brought up with the idea that a guy will only love you if you are skinny.
So girls starve themselves for them then they are too anorexic, no one is really good enough for anyone.
There's either too ugly, too skinny, too fat, too up yourself. You know what I mean?
Guys have to go through the same thing...
I don't know how anyone is pure perfection, everyone thinks Samantha is the definition of perfect, but really.... She has her flaws too.
Sam isn't perfect, sure she's beautiful and outgoing and gets a lot of things. But that doesn't make her perfect.
I roll over on my other side and open my eyes tiredly, it's dark. I see a silhouette and my heartbeat accelerates, I sit up and reach to turn on the lamp on my bed side table.
I sigh in relief when I realise it's just Sam, but then my heart sinks seeing her cry.
She sits down next to me and I wrap my arms around her "whats wrong Sammy?" I whisper.
"I'm tired of acting so perfect all the time, I'm tired of being rich. Do you realise how many people use me for money?" I shake my head.
"Do I want to know?"
"Yes, you do" she says for me, I shrug "Rebecca used me, Rory used me, Tahlia used me; all of my close friends use me!" She exclaims.
"I'm not using you" I say softly and she looks at me through tear filled eyes.
She hugs me tightly "I-I know, I trust you Shae Bae" I let the nickname slide just this once.
"I would never use you" I whisper softly and she nods wiping at her eyes furiously.

"I'm such a baby" She mutters and I laugh.
"It's okay to cry."
"No it isn't because then people walk all over you" she harshly says as if from memory.
"Lets just go to sleep" I suggest and she nods dragging her self down so her heads on the pillow.
I sigh and close my eyes "thank you" she whispers and I fall asleep.

"Please understand that being a good lawyer means to have good customer service, help them, answer questions. It is important that you don't loose a client for a stupid mistake" mr Brown says with a grimace as if from experience.
Someone raises their hand and mr Brown points to them, what he always does when someone raises their hand.
"What if you loose a case?" Mr Brown scoffs.
"With my teaching, I'm sure you wouldn't loose a case" he says cockily "unless.... " he gasps as if ashamed "unless you're so dumb that you can't answer a question to its full capacity."
Murmurs echo around the classroom, most saying 'he's crazy' that indeed, is very true.
"You're dismissed." I gather my things.
I stand up with my books hooked in one arm and I walk out of the classroom, I walk across the grassy area and get in my car placing my stuff on the passenger seat.
I buckle myself in and start the car, I reverse out and start driving home, 5 minutes later I arrive home and get out of the car grabbing my books along the way.
I click the button and it locks, I unlock the front door since Sam isn't here because she has her nursing classes today.
You would think Sam would want to be a fashion designer but she's very into helping sick people, she wants to save lives and I'm proud.

I drop my stuff on the counter and rummage through the cupboards trying to find something satisfactory to eat.
I smile when I notice my favourite- Jumpys!! Gosh they are so good in all flavours.
I open the packet and get a handful of the kangaroos that are covered in chicken salt.
Not real kangaroos....
I sit down and turn on the tv noticing it's getting dark already and it's only 6, I guess that's what Winter does.
I sigh and lean back on the couch, this is going to be a long night.
The wind brushes through his black hair, the cold air nipping at his naturally cold skin.
Tyler King keeps a steady hold on the mans neck who's clutching at his hand trying to get him to release him.
But the King won't budge.
"M-my King, w-why are you here?" He growls at the pathetic excuse of a vampire and grips his neck.
"Do not question your King!"
"O-of course my l-lord" he stutters "b-but you've never c-come here my lord" he drops the man to the ground and smirks.
"That's because I'm here for something.... Here for a specific person I've been waiting for, for 1000 years." His King says.
"W-who?"
"Shae Valentine, my mate. And she's MINE."
