《Fairy Tail's Demon God》Chapter 19: The Great Escape

As the massive monster came hurdling towards both Mystogan and Ryuga, a woman was seen riding on top of it. Ryuga looked closer and soon realized that it was this world's Erza. However, he couldn't stare too long, as the monster had its mouth opened and was heading straight for them.
Ryuga, along with Mystogan, managed to sidestep the monster, as it crashed into the ground. Coming up with the only logical option that he could muster, Ryuga yelled at her.
Ryuga: "What the hell! You ruined our entire plan!" Knightwalker looked confused. "Do you know how long it took us to finally manage to find and infiltrate Fairy Tail!"
Knightwalker: "Wait, you were planning to destroy it?" Her stoic face was slightly puzzled. "Who are you two?"
Ryuga figured he would have to sell it while she's interested, so he said what every generic servant in this position would say.
Ryuga: "Don't you know who this is!?" He raised his hands up to Mystogan. "This is the Crown Prince, Jellal himself!"
Mystogan tried to motion for Ryuga to stop talking, but he was too late. Knightwalker pointed her spear towards Mystogan.
Knightwalker: "The prince was disowned by the king! On His Majesty's orders, if we were to ever encounter the prince again, we shall arrest him the same as a criminal and bring him to the king!" She pointed her spear towards Ryuga next. "That goes along with anyone accompanying him."
Ryuga turned to Mystogan with an angry and slightly bewildered look.
Ryuga: "What the hell man!? You never told me you were disowned."
Mystogan: "I-I didn't think it was important."
Knightwalker: "Enough! You two are coming with me!"
She got off her monster and started walking towards them with handcuffs. It was proven that she still had respect for the former prince when she gently cuffed his hands in front of him. As for Ryuga, however, she roughly pulled his hands behind his back and cuffed him like so. She then spoke to him.
Knightwalker: "You're lucky the former prince is with you. If he wasn't, I would have beheaded you already." Ryuga looked back at her with a smirk.
Ryuga: "I didn't know you could be so aggressive with me, Erza~"
Knightwalker stumbled back once he said her first name, and she raised a dagger to his throat.
Knightwalker: "How do you know my name?!"
She tightened the cuffs and pressed the blade to Ryuga's throat, slightly cutting the skin. Ryuga grew a blush as he looked back at her again.
Ryuga: "Everyone knows and fears the name of the Fairy Hunter."
Ryuga's plan to enlarge Knightwalker's confidence worked as she huffed and drew the blade away from him. Mystogan looked slightly unnerved by how realistic Ryuga's "acting" was. Knightwalker put her dagger back in her sheath and spoke.
Knightwalker: "Well, at least it seems you know your place. You're correct, I'm the Fairy Hunter, Erza Knightwalker."
Ryuga: "So that's her name."
Knightwalker: "I must bring you to the king now."

She shoved Ryuga forward, towards the monster. As he somehow climbed onto the monsters back, without hands, Knightwalker guided Mystogan.
Knightwalker: "This way, prince Jellal. Let me help you up."
Ryuga chuckled at the difference between his treatment and the prince's treatment, but he understood why Knightwalker was doing it. Once they were both on the back of the monster, Knightwalker cracked a whip towards the monster, and it took off, flying in the direction of the capital.
Currently, Ryuga and Mystogan were being escorted through a street headed towards the palace. As they walked closer to the palace, Ryuga noticed something very large coming into view behind the buildings. Once Ryuga was able to fully see it, he nearly gasped. It was the city of Magnolia in a giant lacrima. Those from Edolas were sucking magic power from it. Ryuga's fist unintentionally balled, as he let out a low growl.
Knightwalker: "The hell you growling at?"
She smacked him on the back of his head, and he started falling. Mystogan was able to catch Ryuga from falling face-first into the ground; however, Ryuga's eyes never left the lacrima. He continued staring at it with anger in his eyes, but Mystogan whispered into his ear.
Mystogan: "Not now, my friend. We still need to uproot this kingdom."
Ryuga managed to calm down and stood up straight. He let out a small breath before speaking.
Ryuga: "Thanks for the catch."
Knightwalker: "Keep walking." Ryuga took one more glance at the lacrima.
Ryuga: "Wait for me, my friends."
They did as told and continued walking towards the palace doors. The doors were opened by maids, but Ryuga noticed how their eyes were not directed towards his feet as he was accustomed to. He shrugged it off and kept walking where the alternate Erza directed him. Soon, they walked up to the throne room doors. They were, of course, less luxurious than the Demon God's throne room doors. Ryuga managed to hold in a chuckle as he looked at the poor excuse of the fake golden doors.
Two guards opened the doors and Ryuga was shoved in, while Knightwalker gently pushed Mystogan forward.
Ryuga: "Tsk, favoritism."
There were many guards in lines down the two sides of the throne. He looked up to find an old man in royal clothes looking down at them. The king, instead of looking dissuaded, actually looked happy.
King Faust: "Jellal, my defective son. You've returned."
Mystogan's eyebrows furrowed, but not because he was called defective, because he was called the king's "son".
Mystogan: "Looks like you're still the same as ever."
King Faust: "Haha. You're wrong." He raised his hands. "I'm better than ever!"
Knightwalker: "Your Majesty, I have brought these two to you. I would like your permission to continue my hunt."
King Faust: "No, stay. Watch."
Knightwalker looked a little discontent at the thought of watching the crown prince die, but she still obeyed the king's command. She walked over to one of the sides.
Ryuga: "So a power-play huh?"

The king looked at Ryuga and raised an eyebrow.
King Faust: "Who do we have here?"
Ryuga didn't bow or anything, he just started the king in his eyes and spoke.
Ryuga: "The name is Ryuga Shinsokai. I would say that it is nice to meet you, but..." He looked around at the situation and gave a slight chuckle at his own joke.
Apparently, a guard didn't think the joke was funny, so he put his sword up to Ryuga's head.
Guard1: "You have disrespected His Majesty, a crime befitting death!" The guard then looked to the king. "Your Majesty, may I take this foolish imbecile's head?"
King Faust didn't say anything, he just nodded. The guard drew back his sword, and Ryuga started to get a little emotional.
Ryuga: "Stop. You and your blade are not worthy to touch me." The guard started his swing, and Ryuga's eyes glowed. "Are you deaf? I said you are NOT WORTHY!"
Ryuga jumped forward and drop kicked the guard, denting his breastplate and breaking three ribs. Once Ryuga fell on the ground, he quickly pushed his hands beneath his feet, allowing him to use his hands in front of him again. The king did not look happy, and he yelled out.
King Faust: "Kill him! Now!"
All the guards started charging at Ryuga, and he widened his eyes.
Ryuga: "That's a lot. Let's run!"
Mystogan: "Maybe you shouldn't have instigated it then!"
They started running out the throne room doors and down the hallways, with the guards ever on their tail. As they ran, Ryuga spoke to Mystogan.
Ryuga: "Know any quick ways out of here?"
Mystogan: "Well, there is a secret passageway out, but I doubt we'll be able to get to it in time and crawl through there with these guys on our backs so closely."
Ryuga: "So it's the main doors then?"
Mystogan: "They'll expect that, most likely a lot of guards there already."
Ryuga noticed sunlight and slightly smiled. He looked at Mystogan with that smile, and Mystogan instantly knew what he was thinking.
Mystogan: "No. There's no way we can do that with these things on our hands."
Ryuga: "There's no way the guards can do it with that armor of theirs."
Mystogan tilted his head a little in consideration, then agreed by nodding. That was the only sign Ryuga needed. They both headed straight for a window. The guards behind them were silently hoping they wouldn't do what they were about to do.
Guard2: "There's no way in hell they will do it. We are four levels up from the ground."
Little did they know, Ryuga and Mystogan weren't allowing themselves to be killed so quickly. Ryuga, first, jumped through the window and landed onto the very sloped roof right after it. Mystogan followed suit, and they began to run across the palace roof. They ran across downslopes and upslopes until they found a safe spot to land on the level below. They jumped towards it, and luckily managed to keep their balance.
Ryuga: "One level down, three to go."
Mystogan: "We've only gone down one? Damn."
Ryuga chuckled and they both kept running, trying to find a way down. They spotted a balcony not too far off, with railings on it. However, the jump from where the roof was about to end and the balcony was a very far jump, probably impossible.
Mystogan: "I can't make that jump."
Ryuga: "You might not be able to." He picked up Mystogan like a princess, once more. "But I can."
He jumped and crashed into the balcony, almost dropping Mystogan off the railing when he landed. Mystogan groaned after crashing that hard, but he didn't have time to complain. He got up and jumped onto more roof; Ryuga followed behind him this time.
Mystogan pointed below them, as they both saw the guards run out of the main doors and look up at them, yelling. The guards started to draw back bows, and both Ryuga and Mystogan stopped moving.
Mystogan: "Oh shi-"
He was cut off by an arrow narrowly missing his head. The guards opened fire at the duo, and Ryuga pushed Mystogan behind him.
Ryuga: "Get low!"
They both squatted down with Ryuga being directly in front of Mystogan. This position allowed Ryuga to defend his body easier, giving him less space to have to defend. He managed to deflect any arrow that was near to hitting him, impressing Erza Knightwalker, not that he knew that, of course. Once the arrows stopped, Ryuga abruptly stood up.
Ryuga: "They're out, for now, let's go!"
Mystogan: "Where do we go though?"
Ryuga spotted a roof to a different building not too far from where they are. Not an easy jump, but, again, not impossible. He pointed to the roof and Mystogan sighed.
Mystogan: "I guess there's no other option."
They both gathered a running start and leaped from the castle's second level all the way to what looked like a blacksmith's roof. What they didn't know, was that the blacksmith's roof was largely less durable than the castle's. When they landed, the roof broke beneath them and they fell into the shop. Ryuga was fast enough to catch Mystogan and direct him on top before they hit the ground. With that, Ryuga was able to shield Mystogan from most of the impact from the fall. Ryuga's body slammed into the ground, but Mystogan was mostly fine from the collision.
They quickly got up and looked around. The place was empty, luckily. A guard ran into the shop, and Ryuga quickly grabbed one of the spears that were sprawled around the place. The guard swung his sword, but Ryuga had a weapon of longer range. He thrust the spear into the guard's right shoulder, not killing him, but definitely incapacitating him. As more guards came in, Ryuga and Mystogan kicked down the back door and started running throughout the city.
After running for almost an hour, they finally lost the guards, or so they thought. While they were taking a break near a stable, stealing some of the horses' water, a shadow moved towards them. They both looked up to find Erza Knightwalker walking towards them. She raised her spear towards Ryuga.
Knightwalker: "You. You are a worthy opponent for my spear."
Ryuga smirked at the alternate Erza.
Ryuga: "Very well."

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
