《y/n fujioka ||haruhi fujioka's sister||》||30||

It remained silent. The only thing that could be heard in the room was the dark haired males snores and a ticking of a grandfather clock. The two conscious young men kept staring at Y/n and Haruhi as the girls looked back at them.
"There's no-
"-room." The four of them finished off in unison.
"We got it." Y/n and Haruhi uttered disinterested and began to walk away, making the two boys flinch in shock at how easily the two girls became indifferent towards them.
The one wearing a top hat abruptly stood up, lightly slamming his hands on the table, and pointed at the sisters. "Hey you two! Don't just brush us off like that!"
"We were only kidding! There's plenty of room left! See?" The short boy with the bunny ears added frantically, flailing his arms.
The Fujioka sisters stopped walking and turned around to face the table. Y/n let out a small hum before she and Haruhi approached the table once more, taking a seat on a deserted chair that was across the three males.
"Can I ask you guys a question about this place?" Haruhi requested as she sat down beside her sister.
"Your hair's pretty long, huh?" The blond haired male pointed out in an easygoing demeanor, his back against his chair as he had his head positioned on his knuckles due to his elbow being supported on the table.
Y/n looked at him, peculiarly. 'Uhh... Why is he saying that like he just noticed it?'
"What?" Haruhi inquired, just as puzzled as her sister.
"That's actually a rather good look for you." He complimented. "Be that as it may, you'll still have to wear it much shorter in the future you know?"
"And why exactly do you even care about my hair?" Haruhi questioned him.
Suddenly, a serving cart holding various cakes rolled up next to the table. The two females didn't even realize that the cart was there.
"So you're both wearing skirts today?" The golden-blond haired male apprised of their appearance. "But you always wear a skirt, huh?" He smiled at Y/n.
"Uh, well I don't always wear a skirt. This is just the girls uniform." Y/n proclaimed, peering down at her navy blue skirt.
"Yeah, believe it or not, we're girls." Haruhi remarked sarcastically. "Not that it matters either way."
The two females heard the bunny eared boy take a bite of something, causing them to turn their head and see a stack of cakes on the cart and a cake in front of the short male, making them to sweat drop.
"You know, if you keep scarfing down junk food like that, you're gonna get cavities." Haruhi divulged, making the boy recoil as shivers went down his spine.
The young man dressed as a dormouse--that was sitting in between the two males--opened his dark grey eyes and the bubble that was assembled on his nose popped.
"Be sure to brush your teeth when you're finished." His monotonous voice reminded.
The golden-blond haired male sheepishly gazed at him with some frosting around his mouth. "Okay."
Having said that, the dark haired male went back to sleep, the small bubble forming on his red, circular nose as he inhaled and exhaled.
"So I guess nose bubbles do pop." Haruhi mumbled.
"And that was a pretty loud pop." Y/n mentioned.
"A riddle!" The blond haired male wearing a top hat announced unexpectedly.
"A riddle?" The two girls repeated in question.
He moderately slanted his body forward as his hands were locked together underneath his chin, his violet eyes staring deeply at them. "In what way are lean and fancy tuna alike?" He tilted his head to the side with a small, closed eyed smile as the golden-blond haired boy brushed his teeth.

The two girls glanced at one another, then back at the male. "Aren't they the same thing?" They both replied.
"Incorrect!" He criticized loudly and pushed his body forward towards the girls, making them go further back into their chair. "They're not the same thing at all!" He then looked to the side and whispered something that the sisters couldn't distinguish. "Even in dreams, commoners are still commoners."
He slowly leaned his back against his chair as he sat down on it once more. Out of nowhere, the boy with the bunny ears gestured towards a blue sailor bathing suit that was being modeled on a mannequin. The mannequin was holding a canteen-looking container and there were glass cups on the table.
"Hey! Would you two like a glass of red wine?" He presented with a gratifying, closed eyed smile.
"Sorry, but we're underage." Y/n denied his offer respectfully.
The two responsive males leaned in closer together over the snoozing tall male in between them and started whispering things to each other.
Y/n and Haruhi couldn't hear their conversation. The two boys looked back at the pair of siblings with a faint blush on their cheeks, making the females blink a couple of times.
Suddenly, a line of clocks appeared next to the table as they chimed over and over again.
"It's always three o'clock here." The young man with blond hair and violet eyes attested, holding an open pocket watch in his hand.
"Which means it's always snack time!" The small boy stated contentedly, a fork and a knife in his grasp as another piece of cake was in front of him.
"So, then. Where is this place we're in anyway?" Haruhi disputed. "I mean, a little while ago we were at Ouran Academy with our dad filling out the enrollment paperwork."
"Riddle me this." The blond haired male calmly demanded while closing his pocket watch. "What do your father and I share in common now because of you two?"
"Because of us?" Y/n solicited. "What do you mean?"
The boy let out a small airy chuckle due to Y/n's slightly dumbfounded expression.
"Wait, this is Ouran Academy, isn't it?" Haruhi searched, tonelessly.
"What will you two do once you've enrolled?" He confronted them, making their brown eyes widen. "After you've enrolled here, what will you two do?"
"What will we- study, I suppose." Haruhi stammered over her words.
"And what else?"
"What else?" The two girls imitated with their eyebrows mildly shooting up.
"Yes. Is that all?"
"Well yeah. What else are we-"
Y/n's sentence was discontinued when the boy with violet eyes continued to speak. "What for?"
"What?" Y/n's eyes expanded.
"What for?" He questioned once more.
Y/n stared down at the table, feeling out-of-place as she avoided the blond haired males gaze. Quite frankly, she didn't know how to answer his questions because she didn't know what for or what else she'll do if she's accepted into Ouran Academy. When she was younger, particularly at the age of four, she came up with a dream that can be hard for some people to achieve, yet that little girl still believed that she would succeed no matter what--nothing was going to stop her or get in her way.
But that all changed when someone very important to her left her for a peaceful and quiet place to rest and the two sisters will be able to see her again when it's their time to go to that paradise. Y/n always knew that the person she cared about and loved didn't have a choice but to leave them because something forced her away from the two sisters, but yet Y/n's dreams died along with that special person that she misses and thinks about every single day. Now she has something else that she wants to be. But does she really want to become that when she's older? Her first choice burned out like a candle flame because she can't even imagine herself being successful in what she wants to become when the person she lost isn't physically there to experience it with her, so she selected another career as a replacement.

Even though she tells herself that her second career choice is better for her, does she really mean that?
"See, there's something specific I want to be when I grow up. That's why I'm enrolling here at Ouran; to prepare myself for a bright future." Haruhi explained in a gentle tone as a small, adoring smile formed on her lips.
"That's really sweet." The boy with the bunny ears commentated while holding a fork that had cake on it. "So what do you want to be when you two grow up?"
Y/n proceed to sit silently in her chair, keeping her gaze glued to the table, hoping that Haruhi carries on with the conversation. However, this really was making her question the path that would lead her to her career. Her mind says that her second decision is an intelligent and prosperous one, but deep down in her heart she knew that her real dream will always be what her four year old self desired.
"Well my dream is to be-"
"What good are dreams if all you do is work?" The blond haired male wearing a top hat persuasively interrupted Haruhi. "There's more to life than hitting the books, I hope you know."
Y/n looked up at the boy who had a relaxed expression on his face. "I know, and I fully believe that as well, but we have to study so we do well."
"That's all fine, but what about having a good time?"
"Having a good time?" Haruhi questioned.
"Having a good time." He repeated.
"Having a good time." The boy with the bunny ears confirmed, staring at the piece of cake that was on his fork.
"Having a good time." The dark haired male who was sitting in between the two boys finished, then went back to sleep.
It was silent for a moment as Y/n and Haruhi processed those four words.
"Having a good time..." Y/n mumbled, directing her gaze back down to the table.
Suddenly, the sound of a trumpet played in the distance, causing the two sisters to glance over their shoulder, shifting their concentration to where their back was facing.
"What was that for?" Haruhi quizzed.
"The Queen is now holding court." The blond haired boy with violet eyes answered.
"The Queen?" Haruhi asked, the two sisters turning their attention back towards the three young men in front of them.
"The Duchess is scheduled to be executed." The boy with the bunny ears informed nonchalantly, taking a big bite of cake.
The two females instantly stood up, lightly slamming their hands down onto the table, making the teacups faintly rattle in place for a second.
"That's an outrage!" Haruhi argued with marginally furrowed eyebrows.
Y/n lengthened the discussion. "What the heck did she do to deserve this?!"
"One does not fight the Queen's whim. Trust me." The blond haired young man advised, bringing the teacup that was filled will tea away from his lips.
"Well, I can't just sit here and do nothing!" Haruhi retorted, furiously.
Y/n wordlessly agreed and quickly grabbed Haruhi's hand and began to run out of the room, leaving the three young men in the large cafeteria.
They continued to sprint down the hallway as the bell sounded throughout the academy.
"Damn it, please let us get there on time." Y/n begged, breathing heavily as she remained running in the hallway with Haruhi.
"Yeah." Haruhi panted, her long hair flowing behind her.
Y/n thought back to what the boy wearing a top hat told them. 'No one goes against the Queen, huh? Well we'll see about that.'
They finally made it to a pair of closed doors and heard the last words that someone spoke. The tone of voice sounded deep--belonging to a male.
"Do you confess to your transgression?"
Y/n forcefully flung the doors open, swiftly standing inside the slightly dark room in front of the doorway.
"What transgression?!" Haruhi shouted, gaining everyone's attention as a spotlight was shined on them.
"Who disrupts this court?" The mans voice strongly demanded, sitting on a throne that was situated in the front of the room, seated alongside a woman. The two individuals that were sitting on the thrones had their upper face covered with a mask, keeping their identity a secret.
"We do!" Y/n announced fiercely, being able to view the two people sitting on the thrones due to the light above them.
"I'm here as legal counsel for the accused!" Haruhi informed, firmly.
"And I'm here as, uh...back up." Y/n articulated, attempting not to stutter as she lost a bit of her confidence due to her not being sophisticated with being a lawyer or about court.
"With all do respect, your Majesty, it is my duty to attend the royal music festival!" The Duchess told the two people sitting on the thrones as she stood up on a pedestal that had a small light above it.
Y/n and Haruhi slowly approached the King and Queen as the Duchess justified herself.
"Even if it means leaving your precious child alone?" The Queen challenged. "Your crime is not a question of attendance, but of abandonment. This act is unforgivable. To cause such loneliness in a child."
"Your Majesty, the child wasn't abandoned." Haruhi respectfully reprimanded, making the Queen stare at her. "When a mother has to be away providing for the family, her children know that she's doing it out of love."
"And, yes, sometimes the child will feel lonely, but they will understand that their mother is doing this to supply and support them with things that they need to be able to survive." Y/n avouched, formally.
"Besides, if you execute the Duchess, how is her child any better off?" Haruhi examined in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Silence yourselves!" The King commanded, harshly. "There's no room for your emotions in this courtroom."
"But that's impossible!" Haruhi countered, defensively. "To pass judgment without emotion! You might as well just leave it up to a machine!"
The King grumbled under his breath. "Astounding insolence." The King focused his gaze on the two girls and spoke loudly. "Tell me. Precisely how long have you two been in the legal profession? Are you even qualified to practice law in this court? Are you not in fact guilty yourselves? Why don't we discuss your crime?"
"Our crime?" Y/n quizzed with raised eyebrows.
A spotlight shined down on a familiar vase, but instead of it being in one piece, it was shattered into shards.
"Uhhh..." Y/n mumbled as she looked down at the broken vase, faintly sweat dropping.
"I submit one Renaissance vase, destroyed by you." The King accused.
"That's the vase from earlier but I don't remember it being broken." Y/n spoke for everyone to hear. "We couldn't have been the ones to have broken this vase."
"A likely story, but if not you two, then who's the culprit?" The King questioned, persistently.
"We have no idea. But I'm telling you it wasn't us!" Haruhi rationalized, then suddenly an image of the Renaissance vase falling to the floor and the girls trying to reach for it flashed in the two sisters' minds. "What the? Or was it...?"
Y/n glanced at Haruhi with widened eyes. "Did you just see that too?"
"Witnesses!" The King began with his arm extended out, not giving Haruhi a chance to reply to her sister. "Those party to the crimes of this back up and so-called lawyer are commanded to come forward and testify!"
A spotlight beamed down on the blond haired boy wearing a top hat. He was in front of the two girls, bowing towards the King and Queen on one knee. "It would be my privilege, Your Majesty."
"What are you doing here?" Haruhi asked him in slight shock.
"These two girls have what might be charitably called a drab approach to student life." He asserted.
"What?" The two girls questioned in disagreement.
"School work, school work, school work!" The blond haired male lifted his head. "She won't let the slightest bit of fun offset her routine." He evenly referred to the oldest Fujioka sister.
"Oh yeah? Well at least I have a routine, Tamaki-Senpai!" Haruhi retorted.
Once Haruhi said that name, Y/n immediately felt familiar with it. That's when it all occurred to her that she knew him all this time but just didn't realize it.
All of a sudden, the lights to the dark room turned on one by one, making the room bright and more distinguishable. On the top floor of the library, girls stood in yellow dresses and were holding masks up to their eyes as they laughed and giggled, causing Y/n and Haruhi to end up confused.
"W-Wait a minute... What's going on?" Y/n questioned as she looked around at the people that were in the room.
"Now how is it you know my name?" Tamaki inquired, standing up and turning around to stare at the two sisters. "My name; how do you know it?"
"Yes, how is it that you know his name? However do you know it?" The girls standing on the second floor repeated.
"How do I...know?" Haruhi replicated as the tall pedestal the Duchess was standing on slowly began to rotate downwards.
"Yeah; and somehow you two knew we were twins." The two identical human-cats from earlier reminded as they stood on either side of the Duchess, Renge.

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her.
