《y/n fujioka ||haruhi fujioka's sister||》||20||

The Host Club went to Kyoya's mansion where they'll all be staying for their time in Okinawa. Once everyone got to the manor, they all washed up before dinner.
Y/n and Haruhi were currently in their shared bedroom looking into their combined suitcase for something to wear for supper.
All they found was two dresses that mimicked a nightgown. One of the dresses were a flamingo-pink color and the other was a very light purple.
"Oh no..." Y/n grunted as she drew out the light purple dress from the suitcase.
"I knew dad would do something like this." Haruhi sighed while she grabbed the remaining dress from their luggage.
Y/n breathed heavily as she walked to the bathroom to change. She and Haruhi already took a shower. Haruhi insisted that Y/n should take a shower first so she could have plenty of time to ice her bruised knuckles, which Y/n couldn't disagree to since her sister already pushed her into the shower.
After the two sisters were done changing, Y/n fixed her bandages that were around her right hand. 'I can't believe that my right hand has been injured two times through half of the school year.' She thought as she slightly loosened the bandage on her hand.
Y/n never really got herself injured. She was usually very careful and the fact that she hurt the same hand twice kind of astonished her. And the school year wasn't even halfway done.
Once Y/n was finished adjusting the bandages, they were about to leave their room for dinner but she stopped Haruhi from opening the door.
"Can I...talk to you for a minute? It won't take long."
Haruhi looked at Y/n with vaguely confused eyes. "Sure. What's up?" She asked as she and her sister moved to sit on their shared bed for their time at Okinawa.
"About today..." Y/n paused, glancing down at her lap before looking back at Haruhi. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Haruhi. I could've done something before that guy threw you off the cliff, but I was being held by that other guy. I don't know what I would do if you were hurt or worse than that..." Her voice faintly cracked as she thought back to the situation that took place earlier. "You know how I am--I can't help it. I was just so scared-"
"Y/n, it's okay. It wasn't your fault." Haruhi started with a small, reassuring smile and gently pulled Y/n into a hug. "I'm sorry for worrying you, but you also worried me too. I'm sorry for not being the big sister I'm supposed to be."
"Are you kidding? You're the best big sister I could ever ask for. And you're only older by eight minutes." Y/n smiled as she glanced at her sister while in the embrace. "I love you, Haruhi."
"I love you too, Y/n."
Y/n's fear isn't something that someone would think of when you first guess her weakness. She's afraid of people that she cares for disappearing from her life. That certain fear goes by autophobia or monophobia. Ever since Y/n and Haruhi's mother passed away, she has always been terrified of what will happen to the other people she loves and cares about. But she knows that everyone will leave this world eventually and that's what frightens her. It's the way of life and that's why she's going to live her life to the fullest.
Suddenly, there was a light, yet firm knock on the door, making the two sisters separate from the embrace and get up from the bed and walk towards the door to open it.

"Oh, hey, Mori-Senpai." Y/n greeted her upperclassman once she opened the door.
"Dinner is ready." He notified in his usual monotone voice.
"Oh, thanks." Haruhi said as she and Y/n walked out of their bedroom and followed Mori to the dinning room.
It was a silent stroll to the dinning room. The silence wasn't awkward, it was more peaceful than that. Once they were in front of the double-doors, they opened it, revealing a big dinning room with a chandelier hung over the long dinner table.
"Whoa!" Honey stared at the sisters in awe once they were in view.
"Where'd you two get those dresses?" The twins examined their appearance, standing in front of them along with Honey and Kyoya.
"From our dad," Haruhi answered simply, "he must've repacked our bags when we weren't looking."
"I should've checked the bags before we left the house..." Y/n let out a sigh as she glanced down at her light purple dress that reached down to at least five inches above her ankles. "He's always trying to get us to wear this frilly stuff."
"That's awesome! Way to go, dad!" The twins displayed a thumbs up with a closed lipped grin.
"You look so cute, Y/n-Chan and Haru-Chan!"
After that, everyone sat at the table, awkward silence taking over the atmosphere. Y/n sat between Haruhi and Honey. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The only thing that was being heard throughout the dinning room was the ticking of the clock.
"Well, this is uncomfortable." Hikaru spoke up, sitting on the other side of the table with Kaoru and Kyoya.
"Yeah, kind of awkward." Kaoru agreed.
"Let's dig in, Y/n-Chan, Haru-Chan!" Honey began as he sweat dropped, him and Mori holding up a cooked crab. "These are the crabs we caught! I bet they're delicious!"
Y/n grabbed a crab leg and placed it on her plate. She bit the inside of her cheek, feeling nervous suddenly.
'You know what... I'll just apologize later. Yeah...' She thought as her shoulders lightly slouched, using her fingers to put some strands of her dark brown hair behind her ear. She then began to snap open her crab leg, taking a bite of the meat that's visible.
So far, Haruhi was in the lead of eating the most crab legs. "These crabs." She began and tossed an empty crab leg on a plate that already began to form a pile. "Taste in-crab-ible! Get it? Ha, ha."
After Y/n ate about six crab legs, she was feeling satisfied. She glanced at Haruhi in minimal disbelief, who continued to consume more crab legs.
"Uhh, Haruhi? You're going to get a stomach ache if you keep eating..."
"Don't worry, Y/n." Haruhi assured as she took another bite of the crab leg she was ingesting. "I could eat these for hours."
"Your sisters right." Tamaki uttered, gazing at the pile of empty crab legs. "Don't you think you've had enough? Give it a rest."
"Excuse me? I thought that you weren't speaking to me or Y/n." Haruhi snapped open another crab leg, the shell hitting Tamaki on the chin.
"You...trying to be cute?"
Haruhi looked at Tamaki from the corner of her eye, an indifferent definition crossing them as she chewed the crab meat that was in her mouth.
Tamaki slammed his cloth napkin on the table and got up from his chair. "Okay fine, I get it. It seems you refuse to admit that you were wrong. See if I care, then--I'm going to bed..." He started to direct himself away from the table. "Kyoya, would you show me to my room, please?"

"No problem." Kyoya complied as he wiped his mouth with his cloth napkin and got up from his chair. "Well, excuse me, everyone."
With that being said, Kyoya and Tamaki left the dinning room, leaving the Hitachiin twins, Haruhi, Y/n, Honey, and Mori.
Haruhi was about to snap open another crab leg but stopped herself from doing so. "Maybe, he's right, maybe we do need to learn a way to protect ourselves." She commented, implying herself and Y/n.
Y/n nodded slowly with a small hum. "Maybe..."
"So that's it; he got to you, huh?" The twins questioned in unison, either of their elbows position on the table with their heads resting on their hand.
"Well, it wouldn't hurt if you two learn martial arts or something." Hikaru discussed, blankly.
"But it's not like we're going to force you guys to learn it." Kaoru further stated.
"Besides, that's not the real issue here." They addressed, simultaneously.
"To be honest, we were all a little worried about how recklessly you two acted." Hikaru claimed, absently.
"What do you mean?" Haruhi inquired as Y/n stayed silent. "We didn't cause you guys any trouble or anything."
Both of the twins groaned in defeat, glancing at one another as they shrugged.
"Haruhi, that's not true." Y/n revised gently, staring down at her plate that was filled with unoccupied crab legs. "We both were irresponsible and careless."
Honey nodded gratefully at Y/n's words. "I think you two should apologize, okay?" He smiled sweetly at them. "You and Y/n-Chan made us all worry. Especially Tama-Chan. I think you need to apologize to him the most."
"So you...were worried about us, but why?" Haruhi canvassed, looking down at her golden-blond haired upperclassman.
Y/n quietly sighed at how oblivious Haruhi is. Honey followed along as he sighed as well while sweat dropping.
"You're hopeless." The twins breathed out.
"You think?" Haruhi looked down. Y/n took a peek at her sister from the corner of her eye, soon placing her hand on top of Haruhi's.
The two sisters shared a small, knowing look before glancing back down at the table. "Guys, we're really sorry."
As soon as the Fujioka siblings apologized, the twins and Honey engulfed them in a group hug, Mori standing behind them while eating his crab.
"Aw, apology accepted you little mutts!" Hikaru awed while rubbing his head against Haruhi's hair.
"You're so cute. We forgive you!" Kaoru cooed as he rubbed his head against Y/n's hair.
Y/n smiled gently as she lightly set down her right hand on top of Honey's head. 'These idiots can be annoying sometimes but...they're sometimes okay.'
Y/n's smile moderately faltered once her eyes landed on Haruhi's paled face as she let out a weak groan.
"Is something wrong?" The twins examined as they stopped their movements to glance at Haruhi.
"Oh no. She's not feeling well! Where's the nearest bathroom?" Y/n exclaimed in slight alarm.
"You must've eaten too much crab." Hikaru voiced the obvious.
"Be strong, Haru-Chan!"
"Let's get her to the nearest restroom! Hurry!" Kaoru spoke, swiftly.
The twins instantly dragged Haruhi out of the dinning room and to the closest restroom. Their actions were too quick for Y/n to follow, meaning that she was left in the dinning room with Honey and Mori.
Y/n sighed. 'Damn it. I should've went with them. Now how am I supposed to know which bathroom they took her to?' She stared back at her two upperclassmen's. "I'm going to bed. Thank you so much for dinner."
"Goodnight, Y/n-Chan! Sleep well!"
Having said that, Y/n advanced out of the dinning room and began to walk through the hallways of the manor.
"Wait... Where's our room again?" She mumbled to herself. "Dang it..." She sulked her shoulders as she faintly sweat dropped, not recalling where her shared bedroom with Haruhi was located.
Y/n proceeded to walk down the corridor, trying to find the familiar area that led to her and Haruhi's bedroom.
Ten minutes have passed by with Y/n just wandering around the manor, still attempting to look for their room.
"Who knew that a room could be this hard to find." She grumbled quietly to herself as she huffed.
"Y/n?"
Y/n turned around at the call of her name and saw Kyoya a few feet behind her, exiting a room that was known to be his.
"Oh, Kyoya-Senpai. Thank goodness!" Y/n let out a breath of relief while placing her right hand on the middle of her chest. "If it's not too much trouble, can you please help me find Haruhi and I's bedroom? I'm completely lost and forgot where it is."
"Hm, very well then. Follow me." Kyoya said as he led Y/n to her designated room that she's sharing with Haruhi, his hands resting in his pockets. The shoulder length, brown haired girl followed her dark haired upperclassman, not knowing that her sister was in Kyoya's bedroom with the president of the Host Club.
After about two minutes of walking, they arrived in front of a door.
"Thank you, Kyoya-Senpai." Y/n looked over at him and showed him a gentle smile. "I would probably still be walking around if you didn't show up."
Kyoya adjusted his spectacles that laid on the bridge of his nose. "It was no problem."
Y/n opened the bedroom door and entered the room, rotating herself to look at the male that was a second year student. "And before you go, I would like to apologize for my actions. I'm so sorry for worrying you and the others and for causing so much trouble."
"I appreciate your apology, but I wasn't worried."
Y/n blinked, glancing to the side before looking back at him. "Okay... That's good to hear, I guess. Thanks again for helping me find the room. Goodnight, Senpai." She began to close the door but was stopped when Kyoya pushed the door open and entered the room. He shut the door closed and pushed Y/n against it.
Her brown eyes widened at Kyoya's swiftness. Her wrists were presently being held beside her head, Kyoya's slightly cold hands grasping them in place.
"Um, Kyoya-Senpai?"
"You are aware that you and Haruhi caused a lot of trouble today. I had to send each of the girls a bouquet of flowers to apologize." Kyoya's brownish-grey eyes stared down at Y/n. "Each bouquet cost me fifty-thousand. That's a grand total of six-hundred-thousand yen. Do you have that quantity of money, Y/n?"
"No...but I'll find a way to pay you back." Y/n engaged, a light blush forming on her cheeks.
Kyoya smirked as he now held Y/n's wrists above her head with one of his hands, the other hand working down to her waist. His eyes stared Y/n down like he was a predator hunting his prey, a shadow casting over his dark eyes.
"If you're deciding to pay me back, you can pay me back with your body."
Y/n's breath got caught in her throat, looking at Kyoya with widened eyes. "W-what?" She stared into his eyes for a moment. That's when it hit her.
"Kyoya-Senpai." Y/n started. "I know what you're doing."
Kyoya hummed in amusement, moving his face a bit closer to Y/n's, making her feel his warm, minty breath drift on her face. "And what's that?"
"You're trying to teach me a lesson. You're trying to get Tamaki-Senpai's point across." She smiled softly, knowing that she was right. "You won't do anything to me because if you were planning to you would've already done something."
Kyoya stayed silent, slowly removing his hands from Y/n and taking a step back away from her.
"Thank you, Kyoya-Senpai." She moved herself away from the door. "I can see that you're actually a kind person, so stop playing as the bad guy."
That's when Y/n heard a light rumbling in the distance. She glanced at the window and noticed that there was going to be a storm.
'Oh no... Haruhi.' Y/n thought worriedly and looked back at Kyoya. "On second thought, I'm going to go look for Haruhi." Y/n told him and opened the door.
"I can assist you to her. Don't question how I know where she currently is." Kyoya disclosed, exiting the room with Y/n.
She glanced at him with a raised eyebrow. "Okay?"
As the two of them walked through the hallways of the manor, they found the rest of the Host Club, minus Tamaki and Haruhi.
Meanwhile, Haruhi and Tamaki were left in Kyoya's room alone.
"What were you doing alone with him?" Tamaki interrogated as he walked towards Haruhi who was sitting on the bed.
"Nothing, really."
He flailed his index finger at Haruhi. "You expect me to believe that nothing was going on?! You were alone in his bedroom! And why were the lights out?!Don't you lie to me!" He exclaimed, ending his movements. He clenched his fists and lowered his voice. "Never mind. You've been through a lot today; I'm sure you're tired. You should get some sleep." Tamaki turned around and began to walk away as thunder rumbled in the distance.
Haruhi stretched out her hand at the sound that came from outside. "Senpai-"
Thunder crashed loudly, making Haruhi jump off the bed and grab ahold of Tamaki's shirt. The blond haired male looked back at Haruhi with slightly wide violet eyes.
Haruhi realized what she did and let go, holding her hands up as a way of apologizing. Thunder rumbles again, making Haruhi yelp and whimper as her body started to shake.
"What's wrong, Haruhi?"
"It's nothing! Uh, I just remembered there's some business I have to take care of. Excuse me." Haruhi stated quickly, nervousness evident in her tone as she climbed into the dark wooden closet and closed the doors.
"What business could you have in a wardrobe?!"
Thunder and lightning crashed down from the sky, practically making the mansion shake.
The room was completely silent until Tamaki began to speak. "Haruhi, are you afraid of thunder and lightning?" Tamaki asked as he walked up to the closet and tried to open it. "Why'd you lock yourself in there? It seems like it'd be scarier locked up like that."
"I'm all right. I'm used to getting through stuff like this with Y/n."
"With...Y/n? Nobody else?" Tamaki's voice turned gentle as realization stumbled upon him. "It's always been you and Y/n by yourselves, all alone in your home. You both never call us for help even though we're so close. I get it..."
Tamaki was finally able to open the wardrobes' doors, revealing Haruhi with her knees against her chest and her head placed on her knees.
"I understand now, Haruhi. I'm sorry I acted the way I did. You and Y/n grew up without relying on anyone else but each other." Tamaki paused. "But not anymore." He held his hand out to Haruhi. "You can come out now."
Haruhi looked at Tamaki, not moving until she heard the thunder and lightning clash again. She jumped out of the closet and lunged herself in Tamaki's arms.
"You don't have to be afraid." He held Haruhi in a comforting embrace. "I'll always be here for you, Haruhi. I promise that you and Y/n will never be alone again."
Meanwhile, Y/n and the other hosts walked through the corridors, getting closer to Kyoya's bedroom where Haruhi and Tamaki were.
"Are you sure it's a good idea-" Hikaru began.
"-to leave the two of them alone?" Kaoru finished.
"She's with our Prince, Tamaki. What could possibly go wrong?" Kyoya stated without question.
They arrived in front of Kyoya's room. The twins knocked on the door to the bedroom. "Hey, Boss? We're coming in." They opened the door without waiting for a response from the other side.
Y/n's eyes widened and her jaw slightly dropped as she saw Haruhi and Tamaki on the floor. Haruhi had a blindfold around her eyes and earplugs in her ears.
"With the blindfold on you can't see anything and then the earplugs help muffle any sound!" Tamaki happily told her, not realizing that a group of people were staring at them.
"Wow, yeah, you're right!"

To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
