I picked up the bass and started randomly playing notes. This attracted the attention of frank who came up and knocked on my door.
"come in' I responded.
"I can play by the way. I just, like the sound of it if that makes sense..." I trailed off slightly as I realised how stupid I probably look.
"Mikey's mentioned the same thing once or twice, and I understand what you mean"
He picked up my guitar and seemed to be looking disapprovingly at it.
"hey what happened to your guitar?"
I realised he was talking about the massive scratches on the back and damaged strings.
"oh, it was most likely someone at the home, I didn't really have many friends"
"I'll take you to get a new one, come on"
"you really don't need to, they're expensive and I don't want you to waste money on me"
"nonsense! Playing instruments is an art, and any artist wants the best outcome for their work, get anything you need and meet me at the front door"
I reluctantly agreed and grabbed my phone, my purse holding the little money I had, and some gum. I was wearing the same thing but changed my t-shirt for a yellow and grey checked t-shirt.

We arrived at the store and it was massive.
Guitars lined the wall.
I went over to this dark green one and picked it up.
"you like that one?" frank asked.
I didn't want him to think he had to buy me anything.
"I mean it's nice; really nice."
"you wanna get that one or look around?"
I looked at the price tag before replying; oh my god.
"w-what its way too expensive I couldn-"
"remember what I told you earlier, now come on"
Again, I found myself reluctantly following Frank.

T Uncovering secrets of the world and battling against its societal structure they try to get back their memories and almost inadvertently stop the evils in the world but doing so only adds more questions. work in progress. 50% done and was done quickly without much drafting. (drafting will come later) (there are lots of notes and the story has grammatical errors + inconsistencies). patch 0.2 intro bulked out added more structure, resurrection less naked, grammar improved up to chap 15 or so. There are two main characters, and the mana theory is an original slightly scientific concept. the main character will die.
