《Jade Garmadon: Lloyd Garmadons little brother》Chapter 10 ~The Warning

I skipped down the sidewalk, and looked over my shoulder, to see Zane still walking behind me. He smiled and nodded, signaling me to go ahead. I grinned and ran till I got to the end of the sidewalk. The walking sign had it's red hand glowing, keeping me from moving as cars drove by. Zane eventually caught up with me and I took his hand as we crossed the street when the sign showed the glowing walking person.
"Are you sure you know how to make him feel better?" Zane asked as he looked down at me.
"He is my big brother. It's like a brotherly instinct to know how to make him feel better." I grinned and pulled at Zanes hand, dragging him along the sidewalk.
Lloyd had woken up sick. He seemed perfectly fine yesterday, but I guess he ate too much cake or something. He got so sick, that he stayed in bed this morning. Mom had brought him some breakfast and some medicine to help him feel better, while the ninja wished for him to get well soon. Zane and I are now going shopping to find something that will help Lloyd feel better.
"What are you going to get him?" Zane raises an eyebrow.
"A bag of candy and a new comic and a blanket...medicine..oh! And some of Ms. Skylor Chens noodles!" I smiled brightly as I looked up at Zane.
"Heh. Well maybe a small bag of candy...it might have been candy that made him sick so, we don't want to give him too much." Zane suggested.
"Alright. I just want to make sure Lloyd feels better!" I cheered. Zane chuckled as we walked into a candy store.
I picked out a mini bag of jolly ranchers and watches as Zane payed for the candy. We then went into the comic store and got a new Batman comic. Next was the blanket, medicine, then get the noodles!

I ran into Skylors restaurant and peeked my head over the front counter. I saw Skylor walk around in the back, making sure the food line was working correctly and making sure the food was being served properly. I saw a shiny bell on the counter right by the cashier machine. I smacked the bell repidivly. It's such a memorizing thing to do. I heard Skylor giggle as she walked over to the counter.
"May I help you, little guy?" She leaned her arms on the counter as she smiled down at me.
"Regular noodles....and some chicken dumplings please!" I ordered. I felt Zane put his hand on my shoulder.
"Someone's hungry I see." Skylor grinned.
"Actually it's for his brother. Lloyd came down with a sickness." Zane corrected politely.
"Ah I see. Well your order will be ready in a sec." Skylor nodded and walked to the back. After a couple minutes, she came back with a to go bag. "That will be $10.37."
Zane went to hand Skylor the money but I stopped him.
"Can I pay for it?" I begged.
"Uh...sure?" Zane raised an eyebrow and handed me the money. I slid it onto the counter towards Skylor. She smiled and put the money into the cash register then handed Zane some change.
"Have a nice day. And tell Lloyd that I wished for him to get well soon." Skylor waved bye. Zane nodded as he held the bags of goodies in one hand and my hand in his other. Lloyd is gonna be so happy when he sees all the stuff we got him!

"Thank you, Jade. I really appreciate all of it." Lloyd smiled a bit weakly as he ate some noodles.
"Anything for you, big brother, but you gotta get some rest so you can fight the bad icky's in you." I crossed my arms, trying to make sure Lloyd knew I was serious.

"Yes sir." Lloyd chuckled. "I shall rest immediately."
"Good. Hope you feel better soon, big bro." I quickly hugged him then left his room, shutting the door behind me.
I walked down stairs, to the living room, expecting everyone to be there, but they weren't.
"Mom??" I yelled.
"Were in the kitchen, sweetie!" Mom yelled from the other room. I walked into the kitchen to see everyone sitting down at the table.
"What's going on?" I tilted my head in confusion as everyone exchanged looks.
"We...uh...we think this is more than just a candy sickness that has effected Lloyd." Jay stuttered nervously.
"....what do you mean?" I was still confused. What's going on?? What's wrong with Lloyd??
"...Jade, come over here, buddy" Nya gestured for me to sit in her lap. I crawled up into her lap and looked at everyone.
"We think Lloyd made himself sick..." Nya frowned "we aren't sure exactly how he made himself sick, but Zane said that he secretly scanned him and figured out that Lloyd has high levels of stress about something secretive." She explained to me.
"...is he gonna die from stress???!" I frantically asked.
"Uh no. Lloyds not going to die from stress. He's just sick because something is making him worried, that's all." Cole shrugged. I sighed in relief.
"We are sure it will blow over either tonight or tomorrow. Lloyd should feel better in no time." Jay gave me a reassuring smile.
"But in the mean time, you've been out shopping all day, that it's actually bed time now. Go on and get some sleep, squirt." Kai chuckled a bit. I hopped down, off of Nyas lap and went upstairs into my room.

I put on my purple and black plaid on pants and a white soft, long sleeve shirt. I turned off my light and walked over to my bed. As I pulled the comforter back, I saw something pointy get thrown at me from out of no where. I screamed and ducked quickly, as the object flew by my head. Soon enough Lloyd bursted into my room, the ninja not far behind him.
"What happened??!" Lloyd looked frantic. Jay flicked the light switch up, turning the lights on. I looked at the object that was thrown at me that was now sticking in the wall.
A dagger.
I felt my heart beat. It was beating so fast and so hard that I was waiting for it to burst out of my chest. I started crying at the thought that if I didn't dive out of the way in time, I would have been killed. Lloyd ran over to me and hugged me tight, holding my head so my face was burried into his chest. Kai walked over to the dagger and pulled it out of the wall, and starred at its shinny blade.
"There's something written on here..." Kai started. "It says...'Jades warning' "
My warning?? For what??
"Shoot...he really is serious..." Lloyd growled.
"Who's serious?! What are you not telling us, dude?!" Jay yelled.
Lloyd looked up at the others, still embracing me in his arms as I continued to cry.
"Someone is out to get Jade."
