《Brother of Wind {book 4: The Tournament of Elements}》chapter 16

The balloon of the blip deflated as the elemental masters cheered.
"Sink the ferry!" Jay yelled.
"No one's getting off this island." He exclaimed as the boat broke and the pieces spread out in the water.
"The palace and sleeping quarters are all clear. Still no sign of Chen and Clouse." Cole informed the rest of the ninja.
"What about Skylor?" Kai asked.
"She wasn't able to pick her family, but she was able to pick her friends." Lloyd said.
"And since you're her friend, that means so are we. We'll find her." The green ninja reassured.
"He's right. With no way off the island, it'll only be a matter of time." Cole said.
"I'm proud of you six. You've done what the original Elemental masters never could: stick together. But you must not rest on your laurels, for your guard is down when you sleep." Garmadon said.
"If there are six of us, why are there only five ninja standing here?" Zane asked. They all looked around. Morro wasn't in sight. Kai sighed.
"I'll go find him."
Morro kneeled down to the shelved scrolls in his room.
"What are you doing?" Kai said, crossing his arms.
"Looking for anything that may be important." Morro said. Kai walked to beside the sage ninja.
"No, you're just looking for scrolls to take back home." Kai said, annoyed.
"Well, that too." Morro said.
"But I did find this." Morro held up a scroll to Kai.
"What's that?" Kai asked.
"Something important. Like I said." Morro smirked. Kai rolled his eyes and took the scroll.
He unrolled it and saw an image of a spiked crystal.
"There's a crystal cave here on this island. The crystals can absorb elemental power." Morro said.
"Is that what Chen's staff had?" Kai asked.
"I'm assuming." Morro replied.
"I was also thinking, Skylor absorbed all out elemental powers and if the crystal can take those, while taking Skylor's power, it would have them all." Morro said, pacing around the room. Kai raised a brow as he looked at Morro.
"Use Skylor like a battery." Morro said. Kai nodded his head.
Kai stopped.
"Skylor's in danger!" He exclaimed.
"Okay, keep looking for more stuff." Kai said, running out of the room.
"That's what I've been doing. And tell the others if you decide to run off to find her!" Morro yelled as Kai slammed the door on his way out.
"The island is secure. We destroyed the elemental staff and Chen's attempt to turn his army into Anacondrai has rolled up snake eyes." Nya said over the radio to inform Wu and Misako back at base.
"Good work, Nya." Wu said.
"How is Zane?" Misako asked.
"He's good. A little different, but then again, aren't we all?" Nya sighed.
"The Bounty is nearly finished. As soon as it's done, we'll come by to pick you up." Wu informed.
"I look forward to coming home to see you two." Nya said. Zane's falcon tapped on the screen.
"Heh, I mean, you three." Nya giggled.
. . .
"
I hate to admit it, but maybe Chen losing his army wasn't such a bad thing." Kapau said as they remaining forces of Chen stayed hidden behind a water fall.
"I know, I was thinking the same thing!" Chope exclaimed.
"Look at us. We're in his inner circle!" Kapau spun around.
"And he trusts us to guard his daughter." Chope quietly shouted in glee.
Skylor was just there, chained to the wall. She raised her arms, startling the guards keep watch of her.

"I have to scratch my face." Skylor said, dryly. Kapau stuck his spear out and Skylor used it to scratch.
"Thank you."
"I couldn't have asked for a better pet." Clouse said as he and Chen visited the chamber where the alliance had caved the snake in.
"Garmadon will pay for what they've done."
"Yeah, yeah, big tear for the snake. Can we get on with it?" Chen jumped off the rock he was sitting on. "The Blade-Copter should be fixed by now and I have to get off this island. You serve me, remember?"
"He's not a snake, Master, he's a serpent. And might I remind you my pet never betrayed us. That was your daughter." Clouse sneered.
"Leave her out of this! She held up her end of the bargain and used her powers to break them up. It's not her fault she got a little boy crazy at the end." Chen waved his hands in the air.
"That's it. She's absorbed all of their powers. How could we be so blind?" Clouse exclaimed.
"Right. We're not blind. We see clearly. Uh, and what is it that we see so clearly?" Chen asked.
"Master, perhaps there's another way to get what you want." Clouse smirked.
. . .
Chen walked up to Kapau and Chope guarding Skylor.
"Free her!" Chen commanded.
"Uh, but Master, she still has her powers." Kapau said.
"And I still have the power to stuff you in a fortune cookie! Free her now!" Chen shouted. The let Skylor free of chains.
"Skylor, how dare they tie you up. I blame myself for your slip in judgement." Chen said softly.
"It wasn't a slip in judgement. The ninja were right." Skylor scoffed.
"And I was wrong. Wrong to steal their powers. Wrong to want to transform myself into a snake. Wrong because you needed a father and I wasn't there." Chen said. Skylor had a confused look. But then, she looked deeper.
"You think my powers can still turn you into Anacondrai—"
"You have absorbed the powers of every Elemental fighter." Clouse interrupted.
"But the staff crystal was destroyed!" Skylor shouted, backing away from them.
"And that crystal was obtained from the Crystal Caves here on the island which we can go to now to complete the spell." Chen waved his jand around.
"We have everything we need to make everyone happy. Isn't that great news?" He asked.
"But this isn't just my power, it's all of it. Taking everything from me could hurt me. Or worse." Skylor was backed into a wall by Chen.
"Heh, no plan is perfect." Chen chuckled.
"You care more for your power than your own daughter." Skylor narrowed her gaze.
"Without power, I'm insignificant. Is that what you want? And insignificant father?" Chen asked.
"I never had a choice, did I? You should have never taken off the chains." Skylor raised her hands.
"Get her!" Chen commanded.
Skylor jumped out of the way of two guards running in from the sides. She ran into the dark and shadow traveled to the high ground.
"You're not insignificant, you're pitiful!" Skylor shouted.
"How long do I have to listen to these insults? Will someone please seize her?!" Chen yelled.
Skylor uses gravity to float herself over but not without Zugu making her trip buy grabbing her foot. One more guard was going to jump on her, but Skylor used smoke to avoid the attack. Punching the guard off, Skylor took a hover board and started for the exit.

Clouse started a chant. He fired dark magic at Skylor, but she veered up and as she was going back down, used wind to punch everyone back with a strong gust. The people in the cave were all pushed back.
"Woah." Skylor said as she sped off.
"The Blade-Copter is fixed. Do you still want to leave the island?" Zugu asked.
"Argh, what do you think? Course not, I want her! Kaput, Flip-Flop, after her!" Chen shouted.
"Actually, it's pronounced Kapau, and Chope--" Kapau started but Chen growled, making them get into their vehicles.
"Why didn't anyone ever tell me raising a daughter would be this difficult?" Chen complained, jumping into the blade-copter.
. . .
"
Looks like all the action is over by now." Griffin told Neuro as they guarded the port.
"Put me on Most Ultimate Extreme Ninja Challenge and watch me smoke that course." He exclaimed. Neuro raise one hand and place the other on his head.
"What is it?" Griffin asked.
"Skylor's sending me a message. We have to tell the ninja." Neuro said. Griffin nodded and raced off to the jungle where all the vehicles were gathered.
"Chen just figured out Skylor's powers can finish the spell. She's in danger." Griffin exclaimed, jumping to a stop. "He's replaced his Elemental staff with the Elements in his daughter." Garmadon said.
"We know where they're going!" Kai ran out waving his arm in the air.
"You do?" Nya asked.
"How?"
"Well, Chen was nice enough to supply me with scrolls about this island and such. Wouldn't have cause his downfall at all." Morro ran behind Kai, holding two scrolls.
"I have a map." He rolled it out.
"Wow, Chen kinda gave you everything." Jay said.
"I think he should've known better than time had a ton of scrolls off to the guy who studies them all day." Lloyd sighed. Morro glared at Lloyd for a second.
"They're looking for a crystal cave like this." Morro roled the other scroll out.
"Now, the cave hasn't been document on the map, but Griffin, where did Skylor say she was?" Morro asked.
"Somewhere on the other side of the island." Griffin said.
"Great, then we'd better look around here." Morro pointed.
"I'm going after her!" Kai exclaimed, jumping in a vehicle.
"We all are." Garmadon said.
"Jay, Zane, you take the mech and buggy. Cole and I will take the Roto Jet. Lloyd, Morro, you've got your dragons." Garmadon said.
"Nya, how fast will she go?" Garmadon asked. Nya powered up the D.B. express.
"Fast enough!" She replied.
"Everyone else stay here and guard the camp. Let's get a move on!" Garmadon instructed.
"We'll make groups and spread out to search the far side. I don't care where you guys are going, but I'm headed after that cave." Morro said, jumping up and shooting his hands down, creating his sage glowing dragon. Morro grabbed the chains and stood up as he sped off.
"I'll head east!" Lloyd said, surrounding himself in his power and creating his dragon. Lloyd flipped his hood on and flew as fast as he could.
"Karlof wish he could do that." The master of metal sighed.
"Ninja-go!!" The other shouted, racing off on the ground.
. . .
Zane, Kai and Nya raced in one directing on ground while Morro went somewhere else and Garmadon, Cole and Lloyd flew high, Lloyd preparing to split.
"Watch out for booby traps. Chen's rigged this whole island." Nya said over coms.
"Read you loud and clear." Jay said
Zane stepped on the gas, and he really stepped on it. The nindroid was speeding his way through the jungle, everything seemed like a green blur.
"Be careful, Zane. At this speed, I cannot analyze approaching obstacles." Pixal warned.
"There isn't any time." Zane said.
"We have to-- Whoa!" Zane ran over a large boulder, making him send himself flying into the air and falling down a cave.
"Zane!!" Jay yelled.
"Carry on the mission without me!" Zane yelled.
"He'll be all right. We have to stay on Skylor. She's too important." Kai said. Jay nodded and they kept moving.
Zane held his head.
"Ah... Perhaps I should have listened to you." He sighed.
"Perhaps it's an understatement." Pixal said.
Zane looked up. That opening he fell down, looked the same as the one in his dreams. The surroundings flashed to the icy cavern. The ice dragon rawred out and surprised Zane with it's presence. The nindroid ran backwards, trying to get as far away as he could from the dragon.
Pixal was confused. There was nothing in her visual monitor so she didn't understand why Zane was acting this way.
"Your anxiety levels are rising. But there is no visible threat." Pixal said.
"The Ice Dragon from my nightmare. It's quite visible and quite angry." Zane said, waving his hands, trying time ward off the dragon.
"There is no dragon. It's only in your head." Pixal said.
"No. It's going to devour my head!" Zane backed into the wall.
"You didn't listen to me last time. Listen to me now. We must get out of this hole. There is no dragon." Pixal said.
. . .
Skylor was being chased through and old village overgrown with vines.
"Now she's heading east. Now west!" Chen exclaimed every time Skylor turned.
Skylor looked behind her. There was still a jungle raider behind her. The blades activated as he got close to Skylor. The girl took a sharp turn, just narrowly avoiding the blades. Eventually, Skylor turned into a dead end. Nowhere to go.
She turned around. Skylor died under the vehicle, using smoke to phase through it and coming out in the other side, making the jungle raiders crash into the wall. Still two more raiders left and the blade-copter.
"No where to run. Setting blast to stun!" Chen chimed. Shots fired at Chen, stopping him from shooting at Skylor. It was Cole and Garmadon in the roto jet.
"Someone stop firing at me!!" Chen yelled.
Cole bit his lip as he pulled the trigger and shot as he piloted as well.
"Take care of him!" Chen scoffed at Clouse. The blade-copter flew under the roto jet.
"Ah, I can't see them!!" Cole exclaimed. As the blade-copter flew over Cole, Clouse jumped onto the jet.
"Where did they-- AHH!" Cole shouted. Clouse started trearing the wing apart.
"Keep her steady. I'll handle this." Garmadom said, stepoung onto the wind.
"A bit of a breeze up here. I wonder which one of us will stay on their feet longer?" Clouse tested.
"How about neither?" Garmadon tackled Clouse making them fall into the jungle. They both had a rough landing.
"One of these days, your son will have to stand on his own without his dear father!" Clouse slowly stood up.
"Not today!" Garmadon shouted. They started to fight.
"Woah!" Skylor yelled losing her balance a little as the blades caught up with her. Kai raced in, crashing his raider with the others.
"Argh! Uh..." Kai looked to the side.
"Kai?" Skylor flipped off her hood. Kai jumped out of the vehicle.
"That looks fun. Mind if I join you?" Kai grabbed his own hoverboard. The two sped off.
"You okay? Whoa!" Kai accidentally flipped overtop Skylor.
"Faring better than you." Skylor snickered.
Chen was close behind on the blade-copter.
"I have an idea." Skylor said.
"Youre reading my mind." Kai grinned from under his mask. The entered into the open air.
"FIYAAAAA!!" They yelled, shooting flames up and making them collide.
"Ah, smoke screen!" Chen coughed.
"No fair!" The smoke cleared to see only the red gi wearing adversary of Chen
"Oh! Where did she go? Where did she go? Oh, turn around." Chen left and turned around. "Kai" flipped around to reveal Skylor using form. The reunited in the abandoned village.
"I alerted the team we found you and are heading back." Kai said.
"Are we in the clear?" Skylor asked.
"I guess. Hey, this is a pretty cool place by the way." Kai looked around.
"You want to play tourist?" Skylor smirked.
"No, no. You're right. Let's get back to the good guys. They're all waiting for us." Kai stepped forwards.
"Kapau!! Venge-net!" Kapau shouted, shooting a vengestone net onto Kai and Skylor.
"Chope!!!" He cheered.
"Let's see you work your powers on that. This is awesome." Kapau said as he jumped down to a struglung Kai and Skylor.

The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]
Prologue Arc: The Day That Begins Your Fate - COMPLETED Story Arc 1: Chaos in the Lamorian Kingdom - ONGOING Please consider following/leaving a rating. I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D

Many want to learn things from a story, while others only want fast-paced wonders. We are human and we like to dream, we are alive and we want to feel. Don’t wander outside before knowing the inside. Even if this is slow, it gives you the reader, things to behold. This is a story but also knowledge. It isn’t fast or entertaining but makes you wonder. Everything starts from something unknown, we all want to know the untold. However, can you persevere if something starts being boring? Shouldn’t entertainment start from something unexciting? Open a door to what you might know or not. Learn to dream in my unhealthy abode. Start from the garbage since that’s the place where I belong. Welcome to Raccoon’s abode. Breaking Horizons: Breaching the Fourth Dimension. A slow story that will take you on a ride towards the unknown. PS: Will make things clear here. The actual main character is a human, the raccoon is a pet for the novel. So it isn't a raccoon Isekai or reincarnation as a raccoon. I still haven't added it to the story, as I am currently doing the intro. A long intro! So the start might feel off when you read it. The story will include many genres but starts with psychological stuff and low fantasy. The whole story is an enormous puzzle, but it starts with a tiresome beginning for many. There is a reason for that... If you want to know more about this story check my discord: https://discord.gg/rZs6mem You can ask what you want to know there. Or join a bigger and cooler server where many authors hang out: https://discord.gg/2hbvq8B (Its dungeon engineer and many cool stories' server) This is my own story, so its for me only. I will not have a schedule. I left it on hiatus for a while, can't write two stories, too busy.
