Footsteps from Jeongyeon indicates from tiredness. She held the door knob and went inside her apartment. She let her body fell on the couch, deep sighing. She just got back from work, a nine to five job. It's been three weeks since her first day and she's really exhausted, thinking being adult is tough. But she's not regretting it, because all of us will experience this stage and it's for herself too.
Although, she is tired, there is something that makes her cheerful. I mean, a certain someone.
,,
Mina and Jeongyeon often cross paths. When Mina goes home every half after five o'clock on weekends, there was a timing that she met Jeongyeon on the way. Or when Jeongyeon bought something at the convenience store or went out just to get fresh air, Mina was there, strolling around, always at the right time to see Jeongyeon. Being an outgoing person Mina is, she always approach Jeongyeon whenever she sees her. Mina doesn't know why but she's happy that her house is just minutes away from Jeongyeon's apartment.
"Heyyy!" Mina waved as soon as she saw Jeongyeon. The latter turned around and put her attention to Mina. The violinist then walked to her.
Jeongyeon didn't say a thing and just let Mina walk with her. She rather be with Mina than Nayeon because she thinks Nayeon is annoying while Mina, she don't know what she thinks about her yet. But she admits that Mina is the only one she finds attractive other than art.
So, it will not hurt just to observe Mina's face, right? Although, she will look like a pervert, she just can't help but to adore Mina's features. There's nothing wrong with that, isn't it?
Jeongyeon is now starting at Mina intently, while walking down the pavement, not aware of what she's doing.
"Is there something wrong with my face?" Mina asked as she noticed that undeniably gorgeous chestnut brown eyes are on her.
Jeongyeon quickly averted her eyes and starts to curse herself. She cleared her throat and begins to panic, her heart shaking abnormally. Her eyes just landed on Mina unconsciously. She can't help but to blame her stubborn eyes.

"Nothing."
While on the other side, Mina feels saddened because that lovely eyes of Jeongyeon are no longer on hers. Now that she can't see it properly.
"Okay."
Mina pouts and puts her hands on her back, walking with big steps but slowly so that she could still keep up with Jeongyeon. While Jeongyeon finds it cute because she's like a kid.
They are already in front of the apartment.
They walked for five minutes but for Mina, it felt like five seconds.
'We are already here?! Why does time flies so fast?!'
Mina could not believe it. Even Jeongyeon doesn't like to talk, even with that cold eyes of hers, even she has no interest in anything but art, Mina still finds her company comforting. There's something warmth in Jeongyeon's icy personality.
Jeongyeon didn't say goodbye nor just waved to Mina as she entered the building. The violinist walked away but she's not disappointed.
"Why are you staring at the wall?" The violist asked the girl who seems to be in her own world, sitting at their own music room.
Mina flinched and tilts her head upward meeting the curious eyes of Jihyo.
"Oh. I'm just tired." She then gave a reassuring smile.
"Then you shouldn't have went here and just rest at your home." Jihyo said as she is worried.
"Thanks but I'm okay."
"You're not. You said you're tired." The violist stroked Mina's hair from her face. "Look, your face is red." Jihyo pointed out.
"It's because it's hot." Mina reasoned out and shrugged. "It's the season of summer, remember?" She awkwardly smiled at the violist hoping she would buy it.
Jihyo sighed and admits defeat. "Fine, fine. Break time is over. Mr. Park is waiting, you know you don't want him to get mad..." She warned and Mina softly laugh.
...
"What song are we playing again?" Mina asked as they prepare.
"I think it's Sarabande in G minor..?" The one next to her, Park Sooyoung, answered her question.
"No, it's in D minor." Jung Eunbi, who's fixing the music manuscript paper, corrected Sooyoung.

"My bad." The latter apologized while rolling her eyes and Mina thanked them.
Truthfully, summer isn't the reason why Mina's face is red. Although, it plays a role but it's not the main reason of it.
The violinist shook her head and starts to pay attention to Mr. Park and to the orchestra. Playing might be a disturbance from whatever the reason why she was zoning out and why her face is red. 'Yeah it's a good distraction.'
"Want to be friends?" Mina, with her hopeful-but-not-expecting-something eyes, asked Jeongyeon with her not-so-surprising serious face.
The violinist asked (forced) Jeongyeon to go to the café they went before. She's bored then as if an angel heard her, she saw the painter walking and it seemed she finished her job for the day, that's why they're now sitting across, sipping their coffee, and listening to the harmonious music chose by the workers. And Mina wouldn't want to forget to ask for the playlist from whoever this worker who got a great taste of music.
And as for Jeongyeon who seems to be in other dimension because she's exhausted from work, were not aware that she said yes to (dragged by) Mina.
"Ok."
'Huh?' She answered, still not back from reality.
'She wants to be friends with me!?' On the other side, Mina is now celebrating inside that she wants to dance and wouldn't care if it's embarrassing but of course she didn't, instead, her eyes sparkle more and her lips formed a smile that shows her gums.
"Then are you free on... Sunday?" With expectant eyes and a puppy ears that Jeongyeon is seeing in Mina, - god, maybe Jeongyeon need help because she is still not back to her senses - who wouldn't say no?
Thanks heavens, she did not lose her composure.
"Ye-"
"Great! Let's have a friendly date on Sunday!" Mina didn't finish her and exclaimed.
Mina wasn't aware that they're done playing and now her face is redder because of embarrassment.
"I think you really need to go home and rest." Jihyo said with worried look.
Mina still have a day before their 'friendly date' and so she's bored laying down on her couch.
'Why is time passing so slow?'
"Ughh..." She grunted and faced the pillow and starts to waggle her feet.
While on Jeongyeon's side, she got up from the couch and starts to paint again. It's like her oxygen. Now, she feels relax and not tired anymore but it seems like she doesn't know what she's painting because she's zoning out while letting her hand paints on the canvas.
Daydreaming of that gummy smile she witnessed from Mina everytime they're together. The violinist always wears that even though there's no to smile for - at least, that's what she knows.
Jeongyeon always feels something when she's with Mina.
Foreign yet familiar.
That's what Mina is for her and who knows what could be more.
She halts when she realized that she's dazing and looks at her work. It might be bad because she has no subject in mind and she's painting while staring at nothingness.
Oh.
Her work turned out to be good, great even.
A painting containing a most angelic smile with those familiar gums in sight.
It's too good.
It's like she didn't paint it but she did. With her own hands. With her own brush. With her own heart.
It's kinda weird for an ordinary person or for those who somewhat knows nothing about art because it's unexplainable.
You can describe it in your mind yet you can't spell it out.
It's expressible yet you can't put it into words-
Just like her subject, Mina.
"If you could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint."

Ravyn's Nights - Book 2
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through 5 centuries of endless nights. Book 2 covers the 18th century. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.
