《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch8- It's him

Claire POV-
The room was bigger now, it had more furniture as well. To her surprise there was a balcony in the room this time, neat. At least she wouldn't feel like she was in a box this time.
Standing there was the mysterious man holding what looked like a green orb.
Maybe he was a magician.
It could explain how he was able to do all of this. The room was very impressive after all, there was so much detail this time. All she could do was stare in awe...
He must have know she arrived then because he quickly turned around to face her. The man greeted Claire with a nice smile and signaled her to join him.
Why was a stranger so nice? They had met a short while back but they became friends quickly. They had similar interests and likes, becoming friends was very easy.
"Hello Lady Jordan. How was your evening?" He asked.
" It was great! I managed to build my home with the help of my friends. How about you? I assume you have things to do when you are awake?" He looked somewhat hurt at her comment. Claire didn't know what she said that may have upset him.
Odd.
"It was rather uneventful, just spend some time with a family member of mine. Same as I always do". There was a hint of anger when he said that so she dropped the subject. "What would you like to do today? I can make anything appear at your request" he said.
" Im actually quite curious about the gods of this world. I don't know what they look like. Can you show me what Dianite and Mianite look like? I mean, do you know what they look like?" she tried not to sound childish but the question had been burning inside of her since Mianite spoke for the first time, but she'd rather not meet them as of yet.

He thought about it for a minute then answered, " I think it will be much more exciting for you to see them in person, don't you think? Does their appearance have a say in your decision?".
"No! Not at all. Im just curious, in fact I've already made up my mind thought it may not be the more popular choice, I know its the right one" He grew quiet, he met her eyes and with a disappointed tone said, "So you chose Dianite then.."
Claire laughed. "Actually I chose another god. The others say he doesn't exist but I believe he does, somewhere. I don't know if you are familiar with Lord Ianite?" That send him staggering back and bumping into the table they sat in last time.
" What the hell did I do! Did he think I was crazy?" she thought
"You...you believe in Lord Ianite!?" He said, there was a small glimmer in his eyes. A spark of hope.
"Um yes, why? Do you follow him too? Or do you just think Im crazy?" she asked impatiently.
" I guess its time I introduced myself. Jordan, my name is Lord Ianite... it is an honor to be your god"
...
This was him..this was her god. She should have known! The purple hair!
Wow she feel stupid.
He looked so normal, god like handsome of course, but this was the male version of Ianite!
Her god. Wait!
He would actually let her be his follower... this couldn't be happening!
He was real.
Claire felt her face getting bright red so she turned and faced the other way to keep him from seeing.
"Why was I so nervous? " she thought
She couldn't even get words out of her mouth.
"Are you disappointed?" He asked as he cupped her face in his hands moving it so that she would once again face him.

It was odd, she could see herself reflected in his eyes. This was her, here in this imaginary room with Ianite, and so far she had just made him upset. No. She'd fix this.
"Of course not! I'm incredibly relieved its you! I never thought I would be good enough to be your follower. I thought you would dismiss me since I'm not like spar... uh, I mean since I'm just normal. But here we are. And you have already done so much for me. You have helped me get rid of my nightmares, and given me so much advice. I just hope I'm good enough to help you out as well and eventually earn the title of being your champion." she was suddenly out of breath after that long speech.
His hands were still holding her face, as he stared deep into her eyes.
His face came closer to hers and held her lip with his finger, that being the only contact between them now.
"As far as i'm concerned, you already are. I know you will be more than capable to bring balance thought out the land in my absence. There is no one I would entrust this to other than you." He gave her a smile and leaned back away. Claire could still feel his finger on her lip...
"What just happened!?" she mouthed silently
"Ummm...well... how can I do that? As far as I'm concerned Mianite seems pretty much balanced m'lord, what can I do?" she would have shuddered a lot more under normal circumstances but somehow was beginning to feel more relaxed around him.
That is, as long as he didn't get close to her again, she didn't know why that made het lose composure. Guess this was how people feel when they meet their favorite celebrity.
Suddenly, the room started to fade away. Panicked she ran closer to Ianite.
"What is going on!?" she asked impatiently.
"It appears you are waking up. Odd, its not morning yet. Perhaps its an emergency, i will see you again soon my champion." With that she saw him disappear along with the room.
