《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch 7 -Home...

Claire POV-
Breakfast was uneventful, but afterwards her, Tucker, and Sonja went out to look for a place to begin building the house. They decided not to go to far out since all should be within "pranking distance" to make things fair. Tom said he would meet then soon, he was busy with some Dianite stuff apparently.
That put everyone on edge, not knowing what Tom could be doing right now was scarier than she thought.
After looking for what seemed like hours, they found a place near a mountain almost across from Tucker's home, the elevation of the mountains was almost the same, and it wasn't too far from the other houses. Perfect.
They began the clearing up the are to begin building, the shovels looked like the ones back home but they somehow required less effort and worked faster than expected. Narbuckle!
Woah did she just sound like Jordan?
When watching Mianite, a lot of his unique vocabulary had grown on her. Honestly, she thought he was great, she ended up enjoying the show because she saw a lot of herself in him. A determination to win, a thirst for knowledge, and a slight need for perfection.
Claire had also agreed with his morals, don't fight unless provoked and help out people when they need it. Be kind but also be ruthless when times required it, things like this were what made her relate to him, that and he was just adorable and innocent.
That being said she would never consider herself as him, She could never be that perfect. For some reason tough, they thought she was him...
Claire was still not used to being called Jordan or Sparkles for that matter, it took a while to realize when someone was calling her name. Hopefully in time that would change.
"Jordan, I saw the plans you drew earlier for your house. They are very fancy! Wanna get stared?" Asked Tucker
She gave a slight nod and with that he picked up a stack of wood out of nowhere and within minutes he had the walls of the first floor built!

"We have magic that helps us build our homes, this shouldn't take very long" Sonja said, "The materials are practically weightless and stack in a way that can create a sturdy wall, its like stacking blocks". Wow how ironic, guess this was what Minecraft would look like in real life...
That word, magic, it still send all sorts of triggers all over her.
'It's just science Claire, don't worry about it' she mentally told herself
She knew that this world was heavy on magic but just never thought she would see this magic being preformed in real life.
After giving it a try it was much simpler than expected, she was able to finish the first floor and begin the second all by herself while Tucker and Sonja build some furniture for the house. When the structure was done, she made sure to add a sign outside.
It said "Casa de Sparkles".
There. Perfect, now this would be home.
She also decided to begin building an infinity pool. Claire have been swimming since she was around 3 years old and even swam competitively in high school for a few years along with basketball. If she was gonna have a home, it definitely needed a pool, and given that everything was so easy to build, might as well.
By dawn, all was finished. She would definitely expand it more and more in time but for now it made for a safe cozy home. Tom finally arrived looking like he had just won the lottery. They asked him what he had done but every time they did he just gave an evil grin and shrugged it off.
Regardless of that, he helped out with some supplies such as food and weapons, as well as a few sets of basic armor. Sonja began helping make a farm, and Tucker lit up the area so that no monsters would come near it. After an hour of that they decided to call it a day headed back home.
All but Tom.

He stayed for dinner, claiming he was to tired to go home yet. After whining like a five year old for a minute or so she gave in and told him he could stay for a while. During this time he told Claire about the other residents living here. The Modesteps and the priest were described exactly as she would have imagined them to be. She couldn't wait to meet them, and prank them. He also started speaking of other residents but he stopped himself, claiming he didn't want to talk about them. Odd.
" I cant wait for you to meet them! By the way Sparkly pants, have you thought about which god you will follow. I mean of course you'll pick Dianite, but when will you make it official?" He was so confident she would join him, Claire wasn't sure if it was stubbornness or if he knew something she didn't.
"Like I told Tucker, I have made a decision but would like to sleep on it before I make it official. What makes you think I'll join Dianite anyways?" She asked sarcastically, though she was curious.
" I don't know, when I saw you fighting the mobs the other say I saw a fire in you, one that I also happen to posses. Like you would kill anybody without hesitation. It only makes sense you will join me." She did? Well the truth was, it was satisfactory being able to defend herself, but she wouldn't go as far as to say it was enjoyable.
She tried to show mercy the first time, who knew, maybe if she didn't attack them they wouldn't fight back. Maybe they were just defending themselves or assumed all humans were reckless and thought there was no other option but to attack.
Thats not the way the mobs saw it, since there was no way to avoid the confrontation, She gave it her all.
She had tried peace and it didn't work.
"Its not that simple Tom, I don't enjoy taking a life. Now I understand that mobs just don't have the capacity to be reasoned with, so I attacked them without hesitation. The mobs are easy, they try to eat and destroy you. Humans are a little harder than that, because they have the ability to pretend to be your allies first, they have feelings and personality." Claire said confidently
Though it was something that she hadn't though about before. In Mianite, they killed themselves multiple times without hesitation since they could always spawn back and it was just a game. Would she be able to do that to one of them though?
"True. But remember that the more you care about others, if you connect with their emotions, that will just create weaknesses. In this world you cant afford that mate, specially because everyone will use them against you. Specially me, I play to win." After that he didn't look her in the eye and left with a faint goodbye. Seemed like she would have to be on guard with everyone then.
As Claire got ready to sleep she realized she would get to see the mysterious guy again, that brought an instant smile to her face. But Tom's words lingered in her mind and she began to question if she could even trust this stranger. What if it was a prank from Dianite?
Claire got one of the large shirts as well as some wool shorts that Sonja left for her. Sonja was kind enough to provide her with a few clothes, mostly pajamas, to get her started. She brushed her teeth with some baking soda Sonja left for her as well, it was odd not having toothpaste, as long as it did its job she didn't mind.
Then she got to bed and closed her eyes with the hope that she would see this mysterious man once more.

A Wish
This is a story where there are no heroes and no villains. This is a tale about revenge, despair, and hope. This is a story where the truth is constantly hidden deep beneath the surface, and nothing is ever as it initially appears. The world is a stage. Every character has their part to play before their exit. They are actors, dancing on a stage set for them while searching for the truth behind the façade. Only time will tell whether they will be able to escape their predestined fate, to search for their happy end, or whether the promised end is nothing more than, a wish. Author's Note: Update will be very unpredictable as I travel quite a bit for my work.
