Chapter 26-

Ninja fights and Tattoos

"You know, it's great and all that you are taking care of both of them... But you also need to make sure that you are all right." I said to Sakura as I saw she nodding off after she placed a wet cloth on Sasuke's forehead. I must have scared her because she jumped about three feet into the air.

"Shuzme!!" She leaped to her feet and ran at me, wrapping her arms around me. I placed a hand on her head, put them put it on her should and pushed her away slightly so I could see her face.

"Hey, what's wrong? Did something happen to Naruto or Sasuke?" I looked at the pair and say that they were both sleeping still and that Sasuke was no longer withering in pain. Sakura finally let go off me.

"No, they are still both all right... I was just worried... You were gone for so long... I couldn't help but think that maybe.... you...." She looked down at the ground. I went and kneeled beside the two boys.

"Sakura didn't I promise you that I would came back? Now go get some sleep, it's almost daybreak, you must be beat..." Sakura was about say something, but I cut her off. "Don't even try it. You. Sleep. Now. Don't worry; I'll get Raion to kept guard." I said to her with a smile before I turned my attention to the two boys. I felt Sasuke's head, and instantly pulled my hand away. 'He's burning!! How long has he been like this?!!" I looked over to Naruto and saw that one of the cuts he got on is face were slightly bleeding so I got a cloth and wiped it up, then got another cloth wert and replaced the cloth on Sasuke head.

"Ummmm.... Shuzme... There is something I want to ask about Raion...." Sakura said as she sat down beside me. I sighed.

"Fine, ask away, but only if you go get some sleep after." Sakura nodded her head.

"Is Raion really you teammate?" She asked me. I turned my head and looked at her. She quickly continued. "I mean I couldn't help before but think that Raion looked a lot like Harmony's cat when you transformed her, and also, when Chita disappeared, I could have sworn that I saw Harmony there in her place for a second.... So I thought that maybe...." I looked into her eyes, seeing that they were so very confused.

"What's with you and ending you sentences with maybe? Yeah you where think that either Raion is Nala and Harmony made Chita to protect all of you, or that even I could be a transformed Harmony, keeping an eye on all of you, and that I failed the first exam to look after all of you in a different form?" I said to her. Sakura’s eyes widened I gave her a smile. "Well I guess tell you... You're right..."

Sakura stared at me, and then she broke you in a smile and tried to hug me.

"Then!! It is really you Harmony-chan!!!! I thought so!!! I mean... You act just like her!!!!" I held my arms...

"Whoa!! I meant you are right about Raion really being Harmony's cat, and that she made Chita, but I am not her. How could I be her? She is 13 and I am 16... Age gap right there, but I guess I can't blame you, we do have similar personalities.... Now go to sleep... Oh and if the boys wake up... No telling them anything.... The less people who know, the better. Now it's time for you sleep. I'll be out side with Nala, okay?" I stood up and walked out of the tree roots. I looked around and saw that Nala was lying on one of them, with her tail moving side to side. I jumped up to her and sat down beside her. She gave me look. "Yeah, yeah I know. I told her about you and not me.... She practically figured it out herself... So don't blame me..."

'I wasn't blaming you... I was just thinking about how stupid you were to go after that snake guy without me. You could have gotten killed by him! What happened?! ‘I looked into her eyes. I noticed that she was bigger in size and that her coat was a slight different colour and that she no longer had her earing.

"I'll tell you after change you back." I made a hand sign and then there was a small cloud of dust, but now Nala was at her regular, slightly-smaller size, with piercing emerald eyes and a bell earing. "Better... If it makes you feel any better, I didn't fight him. He had left a long time before I got to where he last was.... I found Anko there through. It looked like she did fight him and that her almost died from it. Damn Anko can't help but be so reckless against her sensei..." I layed back so I head was resting on her. I looked up at the sky, seeing that it was still dark navy blue, but the west was slightly lighter. I yawn and stretched my arms over my head, but looked out at the trees around us.

'You should take your own advice and get some sleep. Don't worry, if anything happens I will protect everyone.' I took one look at her and knew that I couldn't argue with her, not in my state. It may have only been one day, but I was so tried right now that I could fall over and hit the ground and not notice from it.

"Fine... But let me transform you back... If Naruto or Sasuke wake up, we don't want them to see you like this..." I stared to form the hand sign by Nala growled at me and hit my hand with her tail.

'No more jutsus until you have rested... You are going to kill yourself if you kept this up. If ANYTHING happens, then I will wake you. Now sleep.' I gave her a smile before I closed my eyes, fast asleep.

~Dream~

It was dark, but I wasn't afraid. I don't know how, but I could tell that there was nothing to be afraid of, right now. I turned around, looking all around, but I was alone. I knelt down to touch the floor, but my hands touched nothing.

"Where am I?" I said, thinking out loud.

"Where do you think you are?" I whipped around to where I heard that voice, but there was nothing. "Silly girl... I am over here." I turned around slowly. What was pitch black before, was now light, and the air smelt like some sort of flower. I looked down and saw that I was standing on some grass by a small lake. On the other side of the lake there was a person. I don’t know how, but I could tell that she was a female and older than me, and I could see her and all, but I couldn't at the same time. I couldn’t see what her hair or face looked like, nor what her outfit that she worn looked like. She was there, but not.

"Who are you? What do you want?" I said to her. I heard her laugh.

"My, my. You would think that because I let you live that you would be grateful... Of well... Nothing I can do about that." She said. I don't know why, but I got really mad when she said this.

"You didn't answer my questions!! Who are you and what do you want with me?!" I yelled at her. She didn't answer me. Everything became black again. My head felt empty for some reason. I know something just happened, but I can't remember what.

"All in due time Harmony, all in due time..." I felt something wet on my back, so I touched it with my hand. When I raised my hand to my face, I saw that it was covered in blood. All of a sudden, my back felt like it was on fire, and that someone was carving something into it. I cried out.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!

"Shuzme!! Wake up!!!" I opened my eyes to see Sakura looking down at me. I tried to sit up, but then I was hit with huge wave nausea. I bent to the side and cough up whatever was in my stomach, but it came out red. I looked at the blood on the ground, then back to Sakura. It looked like she was talking to, but I couldn't hear anything, so I closed my eyes and layed back down slowly. The moment my back touched the ground, I screamed bloody murdered. It hurt so much!!

"SHUZME!!!" I opened my eyes again and saw that Nala was now there, but she looked like Raion. Tried to speak to them, but it only came out as a low moan of pain.

"Raion, what do we do?! What happened to Shuzme-san?!" I heard Sakura say to Nala.

“We should try and get here off her back, it's seems like that is where it hurts for here." I felt something push my back up into a sitting position. I moaned again and coughed up some more blood.

"It... hu..rts" I said weakly. I slowly moved my hand and touched my back, feeling that it was wet. I moved my hand, and saw that it was coated in blood. I stared it in shock as Nala, or Raion right now wrapped a cloth around it. 'When did I get hurt?! I don't remember anything that happened. All I remember... is the smell of some sort of flower!!!'

"What happened....? When I was asleep?" I said slowly, thankful that some of the pain was already going away, not much, but some. I rolled down my top

"Nothing. I was just changing Sasuke's towel when Nala in this form came down with you in her arms, withering in pain. We didn't know what was going on so we just set you down, but then you started to scream at the top of your lungs and your back stared to bleed. You really but us through a scare. Did something happen last night when you ran off to catch that snake guy?" I shook my head. I placed a hand on my shoulder and rolled it, grimacing at the feeling of wet blood on my shirt.

"No, I got there too late, he was already gone, and so I couldn’t have gotten hurt... How are the other two, are they getting any better?" I asked her as I put up my shirt back on. Raion gave me a disproving look.

"Sasuke-kun's fever has gone down a bit, so that is good, but neither on has woken up." Sakura said in a sad tone. I glanced outside, and then looked up at the sky to see that the sun was already in the sky. Sakura noticed. "Don't worry, I set up some traps, so we are safe for a little bit." I looked at her, and noticed for the first time, she look even more tired than before.

"Sakura, didn't I tell you to go and get some sleep." I said to her. She looked down at the ground.

"Sorry. I was just too worried about everyone to sleep, and I thought that you needed more sleep then I did." I sighed.

"Raion, help me up will you." She gave me yet other disapproving look. "Look kitty, I need to make sure that I can still fight, and to fight I need to walk. And to walk I need to know if I can stand standing up” Raion growled at me, which looked really weird, but she wrapped her arm around me carefully and stood me up. I was surprised when it didn't hurt too bad.

"Oh!! Shuzme!! I just remembered something! What did you turn her back into Raion? When you went out, she was still in her normal form." Sakura said to me as stood up. I looked over at Raion.

"I don't know when... I fell asleep before I could do anything... So she should right now be feline right now. Hey, how did you turn back?" I said that last part at Raion. She just shrugged her shoulder. (I don’t know how, seeing that she was supporting me with one arm.)

"I don't know either... It was right before you stated a wincing when I turned back... I guess you did it in your sleep or something..." She said in a bored tone, not really caring. I gave her look before I turned and faced Saukra, who was looking down at the ground again.

"Hey what's wrong? Look, I am fine, my back will heal from this mystery wound, so cheer up and think about your teammates, I don't think they would like if they saw you all gloomy and all." I said to her. I tested my luck and steeped away from Raion, taking a step towards Sakura and placed a hand on her shoulder. Inside I was cheering that I could still walk right now, even if the one step was as painful as hell.

"Your right Shuzme-san. But there has been this one thing one my mind...." She said looking up and me, but then looking away.

"What is it?" I asked her. Sakura just shook her head a little and gave me a smile.

"It's nothing; I am probably just making stuff up in my head form being tried... “She went back to looking after the two boys. I hoppled over to a root and sat down, leaning it. Raion sat down beside me.

'You know, I thought for sure she was going to ask about what 'Chita' said about you before...' She said in my head as she sat down. I placed my hands behind my head. 'She was, she just doesn't have enough confidence to ask me. She is afraid that I will get mad at her, even thought it was me hinting about it. Maybe I'll hint her later, or Sasuke, not Naruto though...'

'Why not Naruto?'

''He wouldn't understand that I was hinting about my past... Sasuke or Sakura would figure it out... maybe...' Raion sat there in silent for a little bit until she started to laugh slightly.

"What's so funny?" I asked. She just shook her head.

"It's nothing, just thought of something funny..." She said still laughing slightly. 'Nala if you don't tell me right now, next time I won't go shopping with you.' That shut her up. 'Now spill.'

'I was just thinking how funny it is that before you would have rather killed yourself then let anyone, especially your team about you, but now you are dropping hints every chance you get.'

'I am only doing it because I realized it would be more dangerous if they didn't know, and besides you did threaten me saying that if I didn't, you would, so I might as well get it over with. Besides, Fang with back me up with they do anything.'

'Either that or Dog-boy with join in for fun...' I laughed. That option is true too. Or he would just stand there and read his mystery orange-colour book. I looked back up at the sky through the tree's roots. 'Hey Nala, do you think we should greet our guest soon?'

'Well, they are waiting every so nicely. Why not?' I looked back to Sakura who was placing another wet other on Sasuke's head.

"Hey Sakura, you said that you set up some traps. Would it be possible for a squirrel to set it off?" I asked he. In the next half a second Sakura whirled around, took one look at the approaching squirrel, and threw a kunia at it, stopping it in its tracks before it turned around and moved its furry tail back into the trees.

"Geez Shuzme, don't scare me like that..." She said as she turned back to Sasuke. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Sorry I just wanted to know what would happen. Say what let's play a game. It's called 'What would you go if a random team attacked us?' "

"Shuzme-san, that is the stupidest game I have ever hea-" Sakura said to me, but then stopped in the middle of it.

"Hehe... Up all night? But it is no longer necessary. Wake up Sasuke-kun. We want to fight him." We all turned around and saw the three sound ninjas. Sakura had a panic look in her eyes so I stood up and walked, slowly I may say, in front of her and my team.

"Sorry guys, but it looks like 'Sasuke-kun' still needs his beauty sleep. So if you want someone to fight, come at me." I said to them, with Raion right beside me. They all looked at me/ glared at me.

"Sorry girly, no can do, we only want to fight Sasuke-kun." The mummy-guy said in the front. 'Damn, I already forgot their names, oh well!'

"What are you talking about?!! I know someone named Orochimaru is pulling the strings from the shadows!!! What is his purpose?!!!" Sakura yelled at them from behind me. It seemed to have tooken them by surprise that we know about that. "What is this weird mark on Sasuke-kun's neck? You did this to him... And now you want to fight?!!"

"Hmmm.... I wonder what that man is thinking..." The mummy guy in the front mumbled. I smirked.

"Don't waste your breath on these guys Sakura. They are just some lowly henchmen if the snake guy. No reason for you to mix up with them and dirty your hand with such pathetic things." I said to her, but it was more aimed at the others. The guy with the spiky hair was the one that got most affected.

"Why you!! Lowly henchmen!! You'll see. Hey Dosu!! After hearing all that shit, from both of you, we can't let you go. I'll kill both of these girls, especially the one with the black hair, because she pisses me off, and also this Sasuke guy." I smirked again and pulled out a kunia, twirling it around on my finger.

"Wait Zaku." Dosu said to him, confusing Zaku as he bent down and touched the ground.

"You're not very good... Recently overturned stone, different coloured dirt. Grass doesn’t grow here. A booby trap is useless unless it goes unnoticed." He said as he pulled some for the grass away.

"Pft... Stupid. So the kunai was to prevent the squirrel form setting off the trap." Zaku said.

"well, since we have no use for this girl... Kill her." He said before three of them charge at us. I looked behind me a Sakura and saw that she was smiling and cutting a string behind her, making a huge log fly down from the trees towards the three sound ninjas. They all seemed pretty surprised until that Zaku guy blew it up to simtherings.

"Frankly speaking, you have no talent. People like you have to work harder. A weakling like you shouldn't mess with guys like us." Dosu said as they approached us. I got my kunia ready, that is until I say the best and most disturbing thing in my life. Lee coming to save us. He came out of nowhere and kicked all three of them. I noticed when he landed slightly beside me that he had the squirrel we just scared on his shoulder. Huh.

"The you guys should also work harder." Lee said to all of them.

"Who are you?" Dosu asked.

"The beautiful green beast of the Hidden Leaf, Rock Leaf!!!" None of the sound ninjas seemed all that impressed, if anything all three of them, Dosu, Zaku, and the un-named girl all looked rather pissed.

"W-Why are you here." Sakura said to Lee.

“I will always appear when you are in trouble Sakura-chan." He said to him.

Hey, Lee. What do you say after this you should take her out on a date or something; you two look like you could be a nice couple." I said to him without turning eyes away from the enemy. I could feel the murderous waves coming off Sakura. I quickly but my hands up. "Joking!!! Just joking!!"

"That would be a nice idea, but sadly, there is someone else I would rather take. He name is Harmony." I blanched for a second. 'Really?!!! why can't he just get over me?!! His too much like Gai!!

"Well... Thank you. You saved me." Sakura said to him.

'What are we, chopped liver?'

"I said it before... That I will protect you until I die. Harmony too." I whispered that last part but I heard it. 'Nala, I would rather be chopped liver right now...' I watched Lee do a little happy dance from the side before the sound ninja caught my full attention again. Dosu pulled out his scroll, which was an Earth scroll and tossed it to Zaku.
