Chapter 25 - Forest of Death!! Ooooo sooo scary!!!!! o.o'

“I don’t really think these batches of genins this year are all that strong.” ‘Raion said licked some blood off her hand. I gave her a disgusted look

“Na-Raion, that’s just gross. And besides, you got to hand it to the Hidden rain, this team put up quite a fight, even landed a scratch on my arm.” I said to her as I walked over to one of the unconscious rain ninjas. I searched his weapon pouch. “Gottcha.” I pulled out a heaven scroll. I tossed it to the transformed Nala without even looking. She caught it and put it in the weapon pouch on her thigh.

“What’s the count now?” Chita asked us as we were about to head off. Yeah I know, before we had made her a mute, but then the first team we fought found it weirs how one twin wouldn’t shut-up, and the other said completely nothing, even if they insulted her.

“Two heavens and two earths. Do you think we have enough now?” Nala asked me. I nodded my head.

“Yeah, we now have a heaven scroll for ourselves, and some to use as bait or to trade. Wed should head off now.” Both Nala and Chita nodded their head before we jumped into the trees and took off.

We were jumping through the trees for a little bit before we spotted the team we were looking for. There was standing in a circle. They did see us as we hid in the bushes.

“I miss Harmony… Knowing her, she would have loved to be here in the forest, Nala too. Those too all was seemed to places that were filled with their own natural sounds.” Sakura said.

“Yeah! I mean, how she could get caught five times during the first test! Out of all of us, she had the best chance!!” Naruto said in a sad voice. Sasuke stood there saying nothing. Chita moved her foot, and accidently made the bush move slightly. Sasuke wheeled around and glared at the bush like he knew that we were hiding there. When he was looking at our bush, someone scream really loud, making all three of us wince slightly.

“T-That was a human scream, right?” Sakura asked. “I’m getting a little nervous.”

“This… This is nothing Sakura-chan.” Naruto said before he walked over to bush and unzip his pants. I was so happy that it wasn’t my bus that he walked up to. “I got to take a piss…” He said, and then Sakura punched him in the head.

“What are you doing in front of a lady!!! Do that in the bushes!!” She yelled at him. Naruto than ran out into the forest. Sakura than sat down and sighted.

“I don’t know why, but without Harmony, it seems what we are doing is too dangerous. Like we can’t do this without her. I know that if she had passed the test, she would have helped us in this.” She said mostly to herself. Sasuke looked over at her, when her head was turn, then walked a little was away.

“She would have passed the test if she tried to…” He said under his breath. My eyes widen. ‘Shit! Was I that obvious that Sasuke noticed what I was doing?!’ I heard Naruto coming back, but something felt off about his chakra.

“Man!! So much came out!! I spent my whole name!!” He said as re-appeared.

“I said not in front of a lady!!” Sakura yelled as she was about to punch Naruto again, but Sasuke beat he to the chase as he ran up and kicked Naruto in the face, sending him into a nearby tree. I watched as was thanking Sasuke for sticking up for her, and Naruto demanding what he was thinking.

“Where’s the real Naruto?” Sasuke asked him.

“What are you talking about?” Naruto said to him.

“Your shuriken holder is on our left side, Naruto is right handed. And also what happened to the cut you got that the older girl gave you some salve for, it’s not on your cheek anymore. You’re a fake loser who’s worse than Naruto at transforming.” Sasuke informed him. The ‘Naruto’ than burst into a cloud of smoke and revealed a Hidden rain ninja.

“Unlucky! You figured it out, Oh well!! Which one of you has the scroll?!!” He demanded before running at Sasuke and Sakura. “I’ll just take it by force then!!” Sasuke quickly did some handsigns. I noticed the tiger hand sign at the end.

“Shit!! I think it’s time to relocate!!” I said before jumping into a nearby tree, Nala and Chita in tow.

“Mythical Fire Flower Jutsu!!” Sasuke said before he shot small fire balls all over the place. One landed and ignited the brush we were just hiding behind. The rain ninja threw a kunia at Sasuke, and Sasuke nearly dodged it, but on the end of the kunia was a paper bomb. He jumped away from it, but the rain ninja caught

Him.

“Now this is lucky!! Move and I’ll kill you! Hand over the scroll!!” He demanded again. I could see that he needed some help so I threw a kunia in his direction. The rain ninja saw it and jumped out of the way. Sasuke lifted his foot and grabbed the kunia with his chakra and sent it flying at the rain ninja as he was still in the air. He dodged it, but Sasuke was already after him and stabbed him with another kunia. Sakura stood there doing nothing.

“This is rough, but I have no choice! Don’t just stand around, there may be others!!” He yelled at her as he was still in the air. “Listen!! Relax for a moment and you will really be killed!!” The rain ninja took this as a chance to escape.

“Damn, he got away. Thought for sure Sasuke would finish him or something...” Nala whispered to me. I nodded my head. I must have not been paying attention, because next thing I knew, a pair of shuriken was flying my way. I quickly jumped out of the tree to avoid them.

“Gotta pay more attention, or next time I’ll get hit.” I said to myself.”

“Those were just a warning.” I looked up and saw that Sasuke was standing up with two more shurikens ready. Naruto, or the real Naruto, and Sakura were both there too. “Now tell us, who are yo, and why were you watching and helping us?” He said in a deadly tone. I stood up and placed my hands in a surrounding position.

“All right, all right. So you knew that I was there the whole time. While since you knew, the rest might as well come out.” I raised my hand and Nala with Chita appeared beside me. Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto got into a fight posture.” whoa, no need to think about fighting us, we are allies, why else do you think I gave you that opening with the rain ninja?” I said to them, but none of them relaxed. I sighed and placed my hands on my hips, not knowing what to say without blowing our cover, luckily, Nala had my back. She steps forward.

“Look, we are not doing this out of the kindness of our hearts, well Shuzme might, and she is a big softie, especially for kids.” She said. “One person that we all respect asks us to do this as a favor. I think you should know her. Red hair, strange colored eyes…” Naruto and Sakura relaxed a little.

“Harmony…” Naruto said quietly. I sent him a wink.

“Yup! Seeing that she didn’t make it past the first test, she got us to keep an eye on you guys, not to interfere that much, but to make sure that you guys didn’t die.” I said to all of them. Right now Sasuke was the only one that wasn’t relaxed now. I gave him a look. ‘Geez, calm down Uchiha. We are not here to help you, or baby you. No need for the death glares…” Sasuke glare hardened.

“State your names then and how you know Harmony.” That was all he said. Chita was the one to talk now.

“You know, for a kid, you are really cold. My Name is Chita and this is my twin, Raion. And like Raion said before, this here is Shuzme. And we have known Harmony for a while; we were one of the first people she meant when she came to this village, kinda like her tour guilds.” She said. Sasuke seemed t relaxed a little, but did quite buy it, but I didn’t push it. I turned around and glanced over my shoulder.

“Look, like we said, we are here to keep an eye on you, not baby yo, so we are going to do a perimeter check. See ya!” I said to them before we ran off it the forest. When we were a safe distance away I realised Nala’s transformation and the shadow cone. I leaned up against a tree, breathing heavily. Nala walked over to me and let me lay on her giant back.

‘Look Harmony, we may not be able to keep up this hoax. You saw Sasuke, he doesn’t trust Shuzme and Raion, and by that time he may figure it out, you will be dead from loss of chakra. We both know you can’t keep up with battling while holding a shadow cone jutsu and three transformations all at the same time for a long time! We should tell them!!’I she said to me. I shook my head no.

“I can’t. If I do that, they will wonder why I am still taking the exam, and then I will have to tell them everything.” I said to her. She growled at me.

‘Then why don’t you?! You told me everything on the first night together! So why is your team different?! For Pete sakes, your own brother is there, and he knows nothing about you!! You have to tell them!!” I got off her and sat on the ground.

“I can’t Nala, I just can’t! I told you because you are my partner, my family now! I can’t tell Naruto any of that stuff!! He wouldn’t trust me anymore!! I and just can’t have that! It is better for me to have him not know and trust me then for him to rather have nothing to do with me!! If that happened I don’t know what I would do!” I said to her. She just gave me a dis-approving look her emerald eyes.

‘If you don’t tell them all soon, I will.” I stared in shook at her. She then turned around.

‘We better get back soon, or they will wonder what happened to us…” I got off the ground and nodded before I made a new shadow clone and transformed everyone one again. We were just about to set off when a massive wave of wind knocked everyone down. I don’t know why, but it seemed that inside the wind, there was an evil feeling coming out of it so hard it made my legs fell weak. I shouted over to Nala and Chita.

“I don’t like the feeling of that wind!! There is something not right about it! We got to get back now!!” I took off without waiting for the other two. ‘I will not let anyone get hurt! I rather die than let then get a single scratch!!’

I stood beside Sasuke-kun as a grass ninja transformed back into her original form.

"It wasn't Naruto again?!!" I said out loud... 'Yeah, if it had been Naruto, he'd say something like "I forgot the code word!! And where's Naruto? This one is too creepy.' I said in my mind as I remembered how this ninja handed back Anko's kunia with her tongue. She pulled out an earth scroll and my eyes widened

"You want my earth scroll right? Since you guys have a heaven scroll..." I watched as she lifted up her scroll and shoved it down her throat in pure shock. "Now let's begin... The battle for each other's scroll... With our lived on the line." She said as she touched her eye. The moment she touched her eye, I felt this over powering fear in my body and I watched as both Sasuke and I where both killed by her. When the vision was over I still didn't move, I was frozen in fear from what I just saw. I was shaking with tears running down my face. I think I heard someone call my name, but I didn't respond, or even try to figure out if I just heard it in my head.

"Hehe... You can no longer move..." I don’t know why, but I could clearly her voice, and her voice alone made my fear increase even more. I lowered my head, knowing that what we just saw will soon come true. I waited a few seconds, but I didn't die.

"Sasuke, Saukra, are you two all right?" I looked up to see that Shuzme-san was here. I looked around and saw that we were no longer on the ground, but on a high tree branch.

"Gu!!" I looked over to Sasuke-kun and saw that he was pulling one of his own kunias out of his legs.

"Sasuke-kun!! Are you alright?!" I said to him. I saw Shuzme hand him some fabric to wrap his leg with.

"Sorry I didn't get there fast enough. You two must have gone through quite the scare back there. Luckily I wasn't too late. I just have to work on my dodging a bit more. Oh and Sasuke good plan." She smiled at Sasuke and then reached behind her and pulled two bloody kunias out of her back. I looked at her in shock.

Shuzme-san!! Your hur-" Sasuke slammed a hand on top of my mouth, forcing me to be quite. I watched as Sasuke-kun nervously looked around. 'For Sasuke-kun to panic this much... I've never seen him like this.' I looked up slightly and saw a snake coming towards us. I tried to tell Sasuke-kun and Shuzme-san. I tried again, but either of them noticed. I then kicked Shuzme-san in the leg and pulled Sasuke-kun's hand away.

"Sasuke-kun, Shuzme-san, SNAKE!!!" Both Sasuke and Shuzme whipped around and saw the snake.

"Shit!! Did see this one!!" Shuzme yelled before the grabbed me and jumped away as Sasuke jumped in the opposite direction. Shuzme and I landed on a lower branch, but the snake kept on going after Sasuke! I gripped onto Shuzme as we both watch Sasuke panic then throw some shurikens at the snake.

"Uwaaaa!!! GET AWAY!!!!" Sasuke-kun yelled out as he threw them. I relaxed a little when I saw the giant snake fall down dead. 'He did it! My Sasuke-kun did it!!'

"You guys shouldn't relax for even a moment.” My eyes widen in fear. Coming out of the snake was the grass ninja that we through we lost. " prey should always be trying their best to run away... In the presence of a predator, that is."

"Just what in the hell is that thing?! A freking reptile?!" I heard Shuzme-san say under her breath as she saw the grass ninja climb up the tree that Sasuke-kun was on like a snake. I grabbed onto her even harder, so hard that I felt some blood on my hand, but she acted like I wasn't hurting her at all.

"I'm sorry Sasuke!!" I looked over and saw Naruto sanding on a tree branch after stopping the ninja. "What was the code word again?" I couldn't help feel relieved when I saw him, and even more when I saw Raion and Chita join him.

"Great job Naruto!!" I yelled out. I felt Shuzme trying to stand up from our crouch position. She was smiling at Naruto, not in a way that she was happy he was her to help out, but more glad that he seemed all right. She then nodded her head and both her team mates nodded then back to her.

"Sakura, I need you to let go of me. I am going to back up Sasuke, but Chita is going to stay with you." Just as she said that, I could feel Chita-chan gentily prying my arms off of Shuzme. Shuzme looked down at me and gave me a closed eye smile. "Hey don't worry. Just because we are doing this for Harmony doesn't mean we don't care for any of you." She then jumped up to the branch Sasuke-kin was on, but he ignored her.

"NARUTO!! I KNOW YOU THINK YOU'RE COOL AND HERE TO SAVE US BUT FORGET IT!! RUN AWAY!! THIS ON IS ON A WHOLE 'NOTHER LEVEL!!!"

"Hehe... Looks like you successfully defeated that giant Snake Naruto-kun." The grass ninja said. I heard someone say Ewww, and I looked around and saw that Raion-chan, Chita-chan's twin sister was making a face.

"Three things snakey. One: Don't say Kun at the end of Naruto and Sasuke's name, it sounds just wrong. Two: If Naruto didn't defeat the snake that ate him, he wouldn’t be here right now. And three: Are you Gin Simons form kiss, because no way is your tongue that long naturally..." The grass ninja just looked at Raion, then at Chita and I, then lastly at Shuzme. When she was looking at Shuzme-san, she licked her tongue again. Shivers went up my spine when she did that.

"Hey, why is that grass ninja looking at Shuzme-san like that?" I asked Chita-chan quietly.

"It might be because she can tell that she is the strongest one here and that she was a very rare type of chakra that belonged only to a certain clan that was thought dead after the last war..." Chita-chan said quietly to me without asking her eyes off the grass ninja.

"Hey!! Listen when someone is talking to you!!" Naruto yelled out, trying to get the grass ninja's attention, but failing. I looked back to Sasuke-kun and Shuzme-san and noticed that Sasuke-kun's sharingan that he had activated was now gone. "Sharingan..." I thought sadly

"I will give you the scroll... Please take it and leave us." Sasuke-kun sad as he pulled out our heaven scroll. I started at him in shock.

"Huh?"

"SASUKE!! WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!! WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THE SCROOL TO THE ENEMY?!! Naruto yelled.

"I see... very smart... The only way for prey to escape a predator, is to give the predator a different meal." The grass ninja said as she un-wrapped herself from the branch and stood up.

"Take it!" Sasuke-kun threw our scroll towards her. The next thing I saw was Naruto jumping off his branch and grabbing the scroll, then tossing it to Shuzme-san. "YOU BASTARD!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION!!!" Sasuke-kun yelled at Naruto before Naruto punched. 'What is going on?!! What is everyone doing?!!" I don’t understand a thing that was going on, but I could stop watching. Watching and doing nothing...

"What was that all of a sudden?!!" Sasuke-kin yelled at Naruto when he landed on a branch. Naruto just stood there panting.

"Naruto... what are" I was in the middle of saying something when Naruto finally spoke.

"I may have forgotten the code word... So I can't test it but, there is no way you are Sasuke!!"

"What?" I didn't notice that I had spoken out loud.

"Just watch, Naruto has a good reason to ask that..." Chita-chan said to me.

"You are a total moron!! Of course I'm the real Sasuke!!"

"Liar..." Naruto said quietly before lifting his head." There is no way such a stupid coward like you is the Sasuke I know!! I don't know how strong this guy is but... What guarantee is there that he'll let us go if we give him the scroll? You're the one too freaked out to understand the situation!!"

"He's right." Shuzme-san said as she walked back up to Sasuke and placed a hand on his head, "There is none. This is our guys first time here, so you wouldn't know... But here that are many people like snakey here that will promise you something, but the moment they get what they want, they will turn on you... Never trust anyone in this..."

"Hehehe... Naruto-kun and... Shuzme-chan... You are both correct!!" I heard Raion say something about calling Naruto Naruto-kun again as the grass ninja lifted up one of her sleeves revealing a type of tattoo. "Since I can just kill you and take the scroll." She bit her thumb so it was bloody and ran it down her tattoo. 'A summoning tattoo!!"

"Shut-up!!" I felt Chita-chan go slightly frigid as she saw Naruto run before she quickly got me to let go of her arm. Sasuke-kun and Shuzme-san yelled at Naruto to run away, but Naruto didn't stop.

"Sorry Sakura!" Just like that, I was alone on the branch and Chita was running after him. The grass ninja was making some handsigns.

"Summoning Jutsu." There was a huge cloud of smoke right after she said this. The moment the smoke cleared I wished that I had never decided to take this exam. Right under the grass ninja's feet was a giant snake, and Naruto was still heading for her at full-speed. I watched as the snakes tail went to hit Naruto and a blur grabbing onto hi at the last second, getting it at the same time, and sending the two of them through a number of tree branches.
