《Protected by BTS》Chapter 9: Introductions

You were all sitting in the big living room, the one where the elevator was located. One of them had handed you water and you realized that one of the guys were still missing.
"What happened to the other one?" You asked quietly.
"Oh Jungkook?" Namjoon asked and chuckled, "Well, you incapacitated him at this time. He'll be fine though." You would feel sorry but he was the mean one when you were kidnapped by them.
After opening the door, you guys had decided to sit and talk in the living room. The boys anxiously awaited what you had to say, when you nervously decided you didn't know how to start.
"C-can I use the bathroom?" You tried to buy yourself some time.
"Y-yeah. Of course." Namjoon had motioned with his hands.
You abruptly stood up when Hoseok tried to guide you to the nearest bathroom. Although, you didn't follow him and ended up going to the only room you knew in this house. You needed to be as far away as possible in a place you knew.
It was Jungkook's room and you just pushed open the door and stormed into the bathroom. You splashed some cold water onto your face and throat. You tried to run your hand through your hair but found it to be problematic with all the tangles.
You tried to give yourself a little pep talk in the bathroom and rubbed a few tears away.
Calm down. Breathe.
Calm down. Breathe.
Calm down. Breathe.
You had successfully stopped yourself from having an anxiety attack. Once you felt better, you walked out of the bathroom to be met with a tall brooding figure in front of you.
It was the guy, Jungkook, the one you had knocked unconscious and splashed hot tea on. He glared at you, "Wow, this is familiar. If only I had hot tea to splash you with and a teapot to smash over your head. That would be ironic, huh?"

You gulped at his mean sarcasm but stood your ground. "I'm sorry. What else are you supposed to do when you get kidnapped? Sorry I burned your arm and your pride." For some reason, you held more resentment towards him for being so harsh when you first got kidnapped. You pushed passed him and he followed you down the stairs.
"MiSun, oh! And jungkookie? This is good, we're all here to talk about what happened now." Namjoon clapped his hands together. To you, it looked like the boys hadn't moved from their spot. You took the lone chair in the corner as Jungkook squeezed himself in between Hoseok and Jimin.
You took a sip of the water you had left there and could feel your hands start trembling. Thinking about that night gave you some form of PTSD. You never really thought about it this whole time because you were too busy looking for Kim Namjoon. All of the boys noticed this and Namjoon thought it would be better if he start talking first.
"I'm going to be forthright. We are all sorry about the whole kidnapping and drugging situation. But you have to understand in our line of work in this organized world of crime, you shouldn't go looking for big names with big ambitions. That's dangerous. I've already told you I'm Kim Namjoon. Only these boys and now you are allowed to call me that. The rest of the world does not know about Kim Namjoon and RM being the same person.
I run Bangtan, a major crime syndicate in South Korea. These are the people I consider to be like my family who help me run Bangtan. You may call them by their actual name too but only in privacy. We all have our own names. Boys, introduce yourself."
"Kim Seokjin, but like RM, you should call me Jin in public.
"Min Yoongi. But Suga is my other name.
"Jimin. Just Jimin."
"Jungkook."
"Kim Taehyung but V stands for Victory so that's my public name!"

"J-Hope, but my real name is Jung Hoseok."
You nodded, already memorizing their names.
"Alright MiSun-ah. We know your name, but I honestly don't know why you're here. What happened to your father?"
You let out a deep breath not knowing where to start. "I don't really know why I was supposed to find you. My father ordered me to. He was kidnapped. He wouldn't let his kidnappers take me and said to find Kim Namjoon in Illsan-gu. He said it was the only way to help him and that I had to trust Kim Namjoon.
I understood it was the only way I could help him, but I don't know why. I don't know what kind of business my dad has been part of to want others to take him or me." You started to ramble mostly to yourself, "I-I shouldn't have left him... but he told me to. He told me —promised me — that he wasn't going to die. It sounded like they needed him or something larger was at play. I don't know why this is happening. I don't know why I was supposed to find you. And I don't know why I'm supposed to trust you."
You grit your teeth in anger. Your voice progressively became louder and more stern as you were seething. Your blood was boiling at the memory of your father and this whole situation. On the otherhand, the boys seemed on edge, not knowing how to handle this situation.
"I don't know who you guys are. But I know that I'll get answers from you." You said quieter and finally looked up to meet their gazes.
Namjoon collected his thoughts.
"I'm sorry for throwing this all at you, but like you said, we have the answers you're looking for." You nodded and he continued as the other boys listened to the story again, the first time being on the train after you had passed out.
"Kyoung Ji Won. That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. You don't remember MiSun-ah, but I've know you my whole life." He paused to smile. "You were very young the last time we saw each other. It must have been 12 years ago or so.
Your father is my godfather. Our fathers were best friends growing up. Your father bears the same familial crest tattoo as I do because it's my family." He showed off the famiar tattoo that he and your father shared.
"Your father and my father were both major players in the underground world. He chuckled at the memory, " My father was the brawn and your father was the brains. Your father, like mine, was also a notorious mobster. They did everything from grand larceny, counterfeiting, arms dealing, you name it."
You heard the words and somehow believed them. Your father being mixed up in this kind of business, never really having friends, moving a lot when you were little, the secrets he kept from you all the time, his secret backstory before he had you, too many things added up.
"The reason why we haven't seen each other in years is because our fathers' legacies collapsed. They were betrayed and my father ended up losing his life. Your father took you and ran. You've been in hiding all of your life.
But MiSun-ah, I have no doubt in my mind that the same people who betrayed our fathers' years ago are hell bent on revenge. That's why your father was kidnapped. You would have been too but he gave you a chance to run and find me.
But now you have. MiSun, you're the little sister that I've grown up with. Please believe all that I'm saying and trust me. Trust these boys too. I'll find your father and we'll get him back. This may be hard to hear but I know he's alive only because there isn't a body."
