Kane's POV

Now I remember why I don't come and visit Alex that much, his house is boring! Not allowed to do anything . . . or anyone, or go anywhere. Ridiculous. Walking through the house, the silence was deafening. 

Might as well go into town later. There's bound to be somewhere decent open.

"Master Kane?" Looking up I grinned.

"Well, hello there. What can I do for you beautiful?" She smiled back at me and blushed lightly.

"Master Alexander has asked me to take you to your room. You'll be staying on the top floor."

"Okay." Turning on her heels, I followed her back through the house and up to my bedroom. I didn't really need to be shown the way, but I know what Alex is like. If he finds out a slave hasn't done her job, there would be trouble. If it saves her some hassle, I can handle being shown the way. 

I don't agree with my brother's attitude towards the people who serve him, however when this is how our world runs, I try and not be a complete asshole like my brother. 

"So Cinders, how's my favorite girl been?" I do like her, she's a sweet girl . . . I definitely understand what my brother sees in her. 

"Fine thank you sir. Things have been a bit hectic around here recently, but with getting ready for Master's birthday what do you expect." Giggling lightly, she started climbing the stairs ahead.

"Hey slow down, no rush. The longer this takes, the more time you have before you go back to work." She instantly slowed down. "Why doesn't Alex get any new help, if you're all so rushed?"

"Oh, he . . . kinda did."

"Really? Wasn't she much help?" There was silence. "Well?"

"She's such a sweet girl."

"That's not what I asked."

By this point, we were standing in front of the bedroom door.

"It's not really my place to say sir, forgive my rudeness but I must get back to work now." As she went to walk past I grabbed her arm, not at all harshly, just enough to stop her and turn her to face me. 

"Please, I'd like to know." Reading her face, she was still debating to tell me. "Tell me!"

"Well . . . Master Alex didn't buy her or anything, Parker decided to sneak out and go to the human world and somehow met Rose, he found out and went mental and brought her here."

"And . . .?"

"Rose doesn't mind working here, but her and Master Alex are going through some stuff at the moment. Everyone thinks they like each other, and she often spends nights with him in his room, but no one really knows the full story. Some of girls are spreading rumors, but I tend to try and stay out of their business."

"Ah, I see."

"Is there anything else I can do for you Master Kane?"

"No, thanks though." She smiled and lowered her head before she left. 

It was starting to get later in the evening, if I was going out I better start getting ready. Catching myself in the mirror, I shook my head. If I had any hopes of getting lucky tonight, I had to change my shirt.

Pulling my top off over my head, I began my hunt for a nicer one. But before I could, my door started to open, and in popped a head. 

Just staring at her, she stared back. 

Opening her mouth to speak, she quickly shut the door again. 

Random. 

Grabbing my shirt and shoving it back on again, I walked out to find her. 

Rounding the corner, I could hear her heavy breathing. Awww, she got scared. Cute . . .
