《Billionaire's Baby ✓》Chapter Fourteen

The results were positive.
She was pregnant.
Even though she had her instincts, having it officially declared from the doctor had made her ecstatic. And as expected, Sahil had his cold face on even when the doctor had smiled and congratulated them about the news. It didn't affect her but the doctor was sure giving them weird looks.
As they reached home Sahil sought some work on phone and Srishti was confused as to why he wasn't leaving for his work. Only when he finished the call and turned to her, she knew something was up because he only talked to her when there was some important news.
"I've appointed a full time care taker for you, who will be here by tomorrow. She will be with you the whole day so if you need anything, tell her." He informed and she felt a little bit hurt realizing she couldn't even show her mood swings to him because he would not want her to unnecessarily bother him.
"But what if I want to go out for walk or some yoga class? You said I can't be seen going out of this mansion then what?" She questioned because she surely couldn't sit all day at home and it wasn't healthy either.
"That will be arranged as well. But yoga can be done at home and I'll arrange the instructor as well." He said and she looked at him with disbelief. Where was she, in a jail?
"No! I don't want to alone in this haunting of a mansion. And if I can go for a walk then why can't I join yoga classes?" She cribbed and he paid no heed as he turned and left for his room.
Srishti huffed in annoyance and walked back to her room as he had successfully ruined her mood as well.
The next morning as mentioned the care taker was present in the mansion and to her surprise it was an aged lady around sixty years old.
"Mrs. Khanna, this is Srishti, the one you have to take care of. I hope that you won't make any mistakes or give anyone a chance to complain." Sahil warned with a stern face and the lady smiled at him.
"Don't worry dear, I will take proper care of your wife. She is in good hands." She assured and Srishti smiled at the warmth in her tone.
Finally someone she could talk to whole day!

Sahil nodded before glancing at Srishti and leaving the mansion. After he left, Mrs. Khanna walked towards Srishti and introduced herself once again.
"Hello dear, your husband isn't much of a talker I see, but let's just ignore him. I'll introduce myself again properly. I am Greta Khanna, your care taker. I know my name sounds funny but that's a story for another time. Let's not delve into that." She made a funny face and Srishti giggled already loving her.
"Mrs. Khanna I'm so glad I got to meet you." Srishti said sincerely and Greta smiled warmly.
"Oh, please call me Greta! I'm not that old because age is just a number." She winked in the end and Srishti couldn't hold in the laughter this time.
Srishti for once was so glad that Sahil had arranged this amazing of a person to take care of her. For once she didn't feel like he was a monster.
────────
For the first time Sahil Malhotra had known how it felt to be ignored because that was exactly what Aditya was doing. He had stopped visiting the Malhotra company and even ignored his calls and this caused his dearest friend to get highly frustrated.
And of course the wrath was to be faced by his employees and his P. A aka Rohit. But to an extent Rohit was kinda used to it and it didn't affect him much as much as others were affected.
"Rohit, are there any more meetings lined up?" Sahil asked calmly but inside he was getting impatient. Rohit took his time to check his schedule and then answered.
"For now, no sir. There are no more meetings but ─"
"Later!" He ordered and Rohit nodded without another word and left after that. Sahil stood up and buttoned his blazer before taking his phone and walking out of there.
He reached Aditya's company in twenty minutes and walked straight inside his office.
Aditya was startled by his sudden appearance because he rarely came to his office unless it was work related.
"Yes Mr. Malhotra? For what reason do I owe this sudden visit?" Aditya asked sarcastically and Sahil pined him with his famous glare which least affected him.
"You have been ignoring me and my calls." Sahil accused and Aditya shrugged indifferently.
"I'm very busy." He said lamely and Sahil gave him a cold look.
"Doing what? In having fun with Srishti? What is going on Aditya? She's been with us, rather me for just more than a month and you are already attached to her? Why?" He asked agitated and Aditya glared at him.

"Now you have problem with that as well? Okay, I agree that I have been with her more than I myself expected but she is like that, Sahil. You can't see that because you shut out your emotions but atleast for once try to be nice with her, talk to her and then you'll know why I got attached to her so soon." Sahil sighed loudly and Aditya could clearly see that he wasn't interested in whatever he had suggested.
"I am not creating problems in our friendship and neither is Srishti. If it's anyone then it's you Sahil. You need to understand that." Aditya said calmly and Sahil gave him a blank look.
"You tell me Aditya, we have had disagreements and fights before this but every time we have kept our friendship above everything else then why not this time?" He questioned and Aditya grew silent.
He was right in questioning him about it and Aditya knew it as well but this time his dirty trick was used on a person who was totally unaware of his games. Sahil has had played more dirty games with people but they were nowhere near innocent and that is why he had no objection.
"I agree, Sahil we have kept out friendship above everything else but Sahil, Srishti has agreed in giving you what you want and yet you played this game with her. Why?" Aditya asked and Sahil was getting a headache by talking about Srishti.
"Aditya, I have told you this before that I wanted 100% results and the IVF treatment was nowhere near 70% as well. What was the use of that treatment if the results were going to be negative and then we would've followed the process which should have been done first. She had come up with this treatment and I agreed but that didn't mean that I would comply and believe whatever the doctor says. It was as simple as this Aditya and I haven't hurt her in any way." He concluded but Aditya chuckled lightly.
"You haven't hurt her physically, Sahil but mentally? If she knows about this she will be mentally hurt because she had believed that the process was performed and she had hopes about getting pregnant." Aditya said clenching his jaw.
"Which she did now!" Sahil retorted immediately.
"She could've got pregnant by that treatment as well, Sahil and if the reports were going to be negative and in a true way then you could follow the natural way. Tell me what would have been lost if you had let the doctor do his work and still it would be negative?" The argument was getting heated and both were aware of it but Aditya refused to back down because he wanted to show him what he had done was wrong.
"Why the fuck are we fighting over her?" Sahil was barely controlling his anger. He had come here to sort out their problem and not increase it.
"We are not fighting over her but your deed." Aditya retorted and Sahil clenched his eyes shut.
"Fuck this!" He muttered and stormed out of there and Aditya sighed rubbing his forehead.
Where were they going to end up like this?
────────
At night when Sahil returned to the mansion he found Srishti happily chatting with her care taker and it irritated him more.
He took a deep breath and left for his room because he surely didn't want to see her at the moment.
Srishti saw him barging inside and it confused her because he was alright in the morning, then what happened to him now? But then she shrugged it off because it was none of her business.
But she had wanted to thank him for appointing Greta and she would surely do it.
"Greta, you should sleep now. I want to have a chat with Mr. Malhotra so it'll take time. Please don't wait up because of me." Srishti informed and Greta smiled, nodding before she left but not before keeping a hand on her head and blessing her.
Srishti walked towards his room and knocked on it.
"Leave!" Came his order and she was taken aback. Did he think it was some maid or her?
"Mr. Malhotra, I want to say something to you." She said from outside and he kept quiet which she took as a sign and continued.
"I just wanted to thank you for appointing Mrs. Khanna. She's really sweet. So thank you." Srishti smiled to herself and waited for him to say something but when he didn't, she shrugged.
"Okay, goodnight Mr. Malhotra." She turned to leave when the door opened and she froze on her place.

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Live by the Sword
--Follow a bandit prone to making poor choices in life. He lives in a somewhat medieval age where steel is king, blood is shed fairly lightly, and weakness gets you punished fast. But that's okay. As long as he has his sword, he'll be fine. Right? --This story is tragic and contains some depictions of violence and nudity. The attitudes of the characters don't represent my views and some of them are highly questionable. Due to these reasons, I've flagged the story as adult content. --I've been working on Live by the Sword since as far back as 2012 and it is my first actual effort at completing a book. Maybe I'll stick with it and there will be paperbacks of it some day. Who knows. Either way, I hope the words I tell give you amusement and perhaps some cause to think. Cheers.
