《Billionaire's Baby ✓》Chapter Twelve

Sahil stood infront of the mirror and glanced at Srishti's sleeping figure through it, for the second time. He had no idea why he didn't ask her to leave his room when she had her own.
Another thing, he absolutely had no idea what had gotten into him yesterday while having sex with her because he was never this gentle. But one thing he knew, she was too innocent and he could make that out just by looking at her face.
But for him it was only physical relationship until she gets pregnant and that was it. He was sure nothing of this sort was going to happen post that phase.
He glanced at her sleeping figure again and noticed that she was already wearing her nightie again.
Sighing he fixed his blazer and buttoned it properly before leaving the room quietly. As soon as he left, Srishti plopped on her elbows to see if he was really gone and then sighed dropping on the bed.
She had been up the moment he had stepped out of the bathroom but pretended to sleep to avoid any kind of confrontation. She hardly slept last night because her mind was filled with full of questions and it messed with her.
Knowing it was going to be awkward even looking in the eye, she waited till he left and only then opened her eyes.
She then got up and left for her room to freshen up and spend the rest of the day with her dearest books.
────────
More than a week passed and in these days Sahil and Srishti had been intimate more than once because it wasn't guaranteed that after one encounter she will be pregnant.
It was Sunday and both of them were in their respective rooms. Sahil was sitting on his bed going through some important files in his laptop.
Just then he got a call from Aditya and he answered it keeping it on speaker.
"Can you for once let your laptop breath and also take some fresh air yourself?" Came his mocking voice but Sahil ignored it and kept working.
"You are annoying. Now can you have the courtesy to pass me Srishti's number?" He requested and at once Sahil looked at the phone amused.

"You are a businessman. Find your ways." Sahil shrugged and got back to the screen making Aditya groan loudly.
"Dude, I'm not some spy and forget it if you don't want to give her number, can you just as well ask her if she wants to hang out today?" His voice held hope and Sahil sighed shutting his laptop.
"Aditya, I've told you more than once that it isn't safe for you or her or even me to expose her in daylight. The media can be anywhere and everywhere and you won't even know when a story will be formed on just one picture. So now use your brain and stop irritating me." He hung up before Aditya could reply back.
Last time they were lucky enough to not get spotted but it won't be the same every time.
Sahil looked at his closed laptop and then at the door. He then got up and padded outside going towards Srishti's room. He knocked on her room but got no reply.
What she not inside?
He slowly pushed the door open and found it empty. He looked around to locate her somewhere but then he heard some voices coming from the bathroom which led his feet closer.
"Srishti?" He called out knocking on the bathroom door but instead of replying he heard her puking he guts out. So he stepped back and waited outside till she was done.
Ten minutes later she walked out looking pale as ever and all drained out. She walked past him and sat on the bed with her back pressed against the headrest and eyes closed.
"Are you okay?" Sahil questioned looking at her state but she just nodded in a no without opening her eyes.
"I've puked more than thrice since morning and I still feel nauseous." She merely whispered opening her eyes and looking at him and he nodded taking out his phone and ordering someone.
"Let's go. The driver is waiting." He ordered and she sighed sitting up straight to regain her strength. As she tried to get up with the support of the bed, she found a hand advanced towards her.

Looking up she saw Sahil staring at her with his eyes blank. She accepted his offer and stood up after which he helped her till the car for which she was grateful.
They reached the hospital in twenty minutes and Srishti was taken for the checkup while Sahil sat outside and cleared his office work. Few minutes later a nurse came out and asked Sahil to come inside.
"Yes doctor?" He asked looking at Srishti who was lying on the bed. The doctor smiled at Srishti and mentioned something to her after which she sat up.
"Mr. Malhotra, right?" She asked sitting on the chair and Sahil nodded and sat down as well.
"I've asked a few questions to your wife and I would like to ask you now. Have you noticed any changes in your wife in the last few days?" She asked and Sahil glanced at Srishti clueless.
How would he know when they would rarely be seeing each other's faces even in the mansion itself?
"Well not that I know of." He answered because she pretty much looked the same to him.
"Any change in her eating habits?" Another question which he had no clue about and he didn't even deem it necessary because why would he keep a check on her? She was with him only till the contract is done with.
"Doctor, I've been eating a lot actually and I don't think I have ever ate so much as two peoples food." This time Srishti answered knowing Sahil would have no answer.
The doctor looked between the two and then nodded. Sahil had wanted to cut the chase and come straight to the point but he said nothing.
"Okay well all these symptoms like her missing her periods, eating a lot, feeling nauseous, puking and craving some particular eatery are indicating only one thing, that she might be pregnant. But I can't say that being 100% sure because there are chances that it might be because of some stress. Right now, I've taken her blood sample and the test will be out soon. We'll be informing you about it through an email or a call so then you can come collect your reports." She completed and looked at the couple who had absolutely no expressions on their faces.
Srishti was looking at Sahil who was busy calculating something in his mind. She kept a hand on her stomach and prayed for the test to be positive atleast this time.
"Alright, thank you." Sahil said and stood up before indicating Srishti to move out.
Once they were out the doctor looked at the nurse with a look of disbelief.
"What sort of couple was that? No one looked excited or surprised or even nervous hearing about having a baby. God knows what type of parents they're going to be." She shook her head and concentrated on her work rather than thinking about the weird couple.
────────
Srishti walked inside the mansion in a dazed state whereas Sahil looked the usual. He stopped when he saw Srishti moving towards the couch lost in her own world that she didn't notice the table kept ahead.
Before she could collide with it and hit the ground, he pulled her arm with force such that she collided with his chest.
"What is wrong with you Mr. Malhotra?" Srishti said angrily as she moved away from him as fast as possible. Sahil just looked at her and then pointed at the table. Srishti looked at it and she realised what it was about but she was still pissed.
"So you could've just called my name." She said in pissed tone that didn't sit well with him. His eyes went hard as he took a threatening step towards her and she immediately stepped back.
"Stop getting too informal with me, Srishti because it won't do you any good." He warned in an icy tone and she gulped getting nervous.
He left without another word and Srishti sighed wondering how she was going to spend the nine months with this already moody person, that is, if she is pregnant.
And this time she had an inkling that the results were going to be positive.
