"GET UP" Maya said storming into the room and snatching the blanket off Skai.
"Girl what is your problem?" Skai asked mugging her.
Maya mugged her back "You need to get up, it's been two weeks. Be productive"
Skai rolled over and pulled the blanket.
"Skai get up, all you do is shower, sometimes eat, then get back in the bed. That's not healthy" Maya told her.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Anything. We can go shopping, you can do some homework, or we can go get some food"
Skai shook her head "I'm good"
"It wasn't a question Skai, go get ready" Maya said going into her closet.
Skai huffed but got up.
As she showered Maya pulled out her stuff then sat in the bed watching TV.
After an hour Skai came out the bathroom with her towel wrapped around her.
"What are we going to do?" Skai asked as she put her underwear on.
"Mmm prolly go to brunch then shopping, we can go to the hospital too if you want?" Maya suggested.
"Okay we can do that, should I put these 4s on orrr?"
"I like the 4s wit that" Maya answered.
Skai nodded and put her socks on.
Once Skai finished they left out to her car.
"Ugh I haven't drove in forever" Skai smiled as she pulled out the driveway.
After getting through traffic, they arrived at the restaurant to eat.
"You spoke to Kareem?" Maya asked.
Skai drank her water then shook her head "No, we text that's about it"
"Maybe you should call him"
"Hm" Skai sounded as she looked over the menu.
"You're so stubborn"
"I'm not he asked for space, I'm genuinely respecting that" Skai told her.
Maya nodded "I'm itching to go outta town"

Skai rolled her eyes "Why you so extra? We only 18"
"August keep tryna get me pregnant and take me out. But one thing about God, he gon pull through for me every time" Maya said.
Skai looked down causing Maya's eyes to widen.
"I'm sorry Skai, I forgot" she quickly apologize.
"It's fine, we should go shopping now I need new clothes" Skai said.
Maya nodded, they got up to pay then left.
__________
"Can we go to Bottega?" Skai asked as they walked around.
Maya nodded and followed behind her.
Skai immediately went towards some sandals "They have a bag to go with this too" she said excitedly as she went to ask for her size.
"It look good?" Skai asked as she tried it on. Maya said yes and of course the sales associate agreed with her to make a sale.
Once they finished in there Skai rushed into Zara. "This cute?" She asked holding up a top.
Maya nodded as she looked through the racks herself. Skai had picked up $300 worth of clothes and finally was ready to check out.
"Footlocker?" Maya asked grabbing her bag.
Skai smiled and followed after her. When they got there, it was packed and hella niggas were there.
"Oh my gosh" Skai huffed as she moved through everyone to the woman's section.
Soon she saw some blazers she had been wanting.
"Them cute" a guy commented grabbing the pink air maxes next to her.
"I know right, them air maxes you grabbed cute too" she replied.
He smiled "What's your name? I'm Shawnee"

"That's your man?" Skai asked.
He scrunched up his face "No girl, he just paying for everything"
Skai laughed and waved as he walked off.
Soon she picked up two more pairs of shoes then headed to the register with Maya behind.
"$360 is your total" the man said, Skai pulled out her card and paid.
"This was so fun thank you for getting me out" Skai smiled as they got back in the car.
Maya nodded and pulled off "I wanna get myself together, what you think about counseling?" Skai asked.
"I think that would be good" Maya replied.
The two talked some more until Maya dropped Skai off.
