It's been a week since the trip to Tulum and neither Kareem or Skai have spoken to each other. The first few days Skai tried keeping in contact with Kareem, but soon gave up as he only gave her dry responses or responded hours later.

"Y'all so difficult" Maya huffed as she threw herself down on Skai's bed. "The nigga give you head then leaves?"

Skai sighed "I don't really know, but are you driving or me?"

"I'll drive" Maya said sliding on her Dunks.

Skai nodded and put on her 1's "Bitches always tryna be like me" Skai said as she noticed they were wearing the same colored shoes.

"Girl hush"

The two got into Maya's car then headed to August's house.

"I wanna take some pictures. I don't got no gas station pictures on my page" Maya said as they pulled up to a gas station.

Skai nodded as they pulled up to a pump "You taking them outside or inside?"

"Inside"

Once Skai and Maya took their pictures they

headed back to the car.

"Hi guys" Skai said as she saw August's friends.

"Wassup sis in law" they teased causing her to mug them.

She sat on the couch as August and Maya ran up the stairs kissing.

Skai rolled her eyes and headed to the guest room to lay down.

30 minutes into her watching a random episode of Grey's Anatomy the door opened revealing Kareem.

"Wassup" he said standing there with his hands in his pockets.

"Hello" she answered diverting her attention back to the TV.

"How you been?" He asked sitting on the edge of the bed.

She shrugged "Good"

He sighed and pulled her into his direction by her leg. "I been busy Aiza, I was having problems with a house I'm renting out" he told her.

She shrugged again "You could've just told me that instead of sending dry ass messages or not respond at all. But obviously I'm not that important so you don't gotta explain to me now"

"Aiza it ain even like that, you are important to me and I'm sorry" he said pulling her into his lap.

"You forgive me?" He asked pecking her lips a few times.

She rolled her eyes and got out his lap.

"Kareem I don't really like this on and off thing we got going on. I know I'm at fault too, but I really want consistency" she told him.

He nodded and looked up at her "Ight so let's work on it. Let's start over, lemme take you on a date tomorrow?"

"Okay" she smiled.

"You forgive me?" He asked as he pulled her back into his lap.

"Mmmm yea" she answered then tensed up again. "But I do wanna ask about that girl who you were at Walmart with a few weeks ago"

He thought about it for a second then remembered "That was me and Lani older sister, Kyrah" he told her causing her to relax.

"Let's go see my mama" Kareem said as they laid in the bed.

"Right now?" She asked.

He nodded and pulled out his phone "Mhm, you don't wanna meet my mama?"

"I mean it's a little early on to meet your mama" she told him.

"I met your parents tho" he shrugged.

"That was different circumstances tho"

"Ight since you scared or whatever, let's go to my house" he said a lil hurt.

*Kareem always in his feelings ab something.

"Kareem I'm not scared and it's not that I don't want to meet her. I just felt it was a little early" she explained.

He nodded "I don't think nothing about our relationship is traditional and I don't want our relationship to have a timeline" he told her.

Skai then sat up "Okay let's go see her then" she said causing him to smile.

When they walked outside she smiled seeing he had a corvette today.

"How many cars you got?" She asked as they got inside.

"4" he answered.

"What's the other one?" She questioned

"Uhh my Hellcat" he said pulling out August's driveway.

"I wanna be like you when I grow up" she pouted.

He cheesed showing his grills "Shiddd I'm tryna get like you, your initials engraved on the headrest is fye" he said

"I might have to steal that, I got a Bentayaga getting customized right now" he added.

A lot of Kareem's money went to his cars. Of course he made sure not to go over board and was smart about his money, but cars were his guilty pleasure.

"I wanna see how the Bentayaga come out" she said as they stopped in traffic.

"This the one thing ion like about living here, traffic always heavy" Kareem said as he sat back in his seat.

Skai nodded "You ever thought about moving?" She asked.

"Nahhh cause this is the best place for my businesses and the next option would be Houston but traffic is the same" he told her.

"You ever thought about going to college?" She asked him.

"I already graduated, I'm working on my masters now" he said.

"How?" She held a shocked face.

"I did dual enrollment from sophomore year, so when I got locked up they let me complete high school and my last year of dual enrollment. I got a bachelors in business" He explained

She smiled "That's so good, you're only 19"

"You going to college?" He asked.

"Yea, I'm gonna major in education with a minor in psychology" she told him.

He nodded "You planning to be a teacher?"

"Yes and no, I want to open a youth center"

"You want kids? Or you just like them?" He asked .

"Both, I like kids and one day I wanna have my own." She answered. "What about you?"

Imma get her pregnant he thought.

"I want a mini you or me. Ion really like kids, so I just want one or two" he answered honestly causing her to laugh.

"How many you want?" He wondered.

"Three at the most" she said.

They spoke some more and finally reached his mom's house.
