Beatrix opened her eyes to familiar surroundings. She scanned the surroundings and realized that this is her room when she is only a child! An idea suddenly came to her mind and she immediately asked one of her maids to give her a mirror. After she stared at the image, she screamed at the top of her lungs! Her other servants went inside her room and later her parents worriedly entered the room...

"What happened? Where are the assassins?!!" General Ardor, her father immediately held his sharp sword and scanned the area.

Lady Andrea, her mother was so pale when she heard the word 'assassin'. Beatrix was the first to get to her senses and explained that she is just trying to test if they could hear her.

"Do not do that again, Beatrix! You are a lady of a noble house!" The general told his daughter.

"Yes, Father!" She flashed him her winning smile.

"You almost scared me to death." Her mother complained.

"Sorry, Mother!" She said then used her apologetic smile.

"Anyway, there is one thing we need to tell you." Her mother started to inform her.

Although she already knew about it, she just asked, "What is it?"

"This is a great blessing for you, my child! You will live in the palace now! You will study, eat, and play together with the princes!" Her mother informed her excitedly like the first time but now, Beatrix's reaction is way different.

"Can I say 'no'?"

"No!!!" Both her parents replied at the same time. "We cannot refuse because.." and they told her many reasons just to convince her.

She grew tired of listening so she stopped them, "Okay. I will go to the palace..." She is so annoyed but she suddenly remembered Prince Anders. Her plan to choose and marry him this time gave her comfort so she entered the palace and met Prince Andrew and Prince Anders again!

Both the princes smiled at her but she ignored Prince Andrew and gave her winning smile to Prince Anders. She vowed to herself that she will not get entangled with her former husband in this life and the next!

She studied and played only with Prince Anders. She also wants to eat with Prince Anders only but she does not have a choice because the emperor and empress said that they should eat together. This is their arrangement as time went by...

On her tenth birthday, she and Prince Anders decided to visit an abandoned palace ground. Few people visit this area but she is curious so she agreed with Prince Anders' idea. Without them knowing, poisonous snakes are roaming in this area. They played merrily there but they stopped when they were surrounded by snakes! Fear captured both their hearts. She screamed as loud as she could and one of the snakes tried to attack her but she was saved by Prince Anders! He used his body to shield her and he was bitten instead. Fear is reigning in her heart as she thought that she will be bitten next but Prince Andrew appeared to rescue them. He was able to threaten the snakes making them back away!

She cried and asked Prince Andrew to call for help. When Prince Anders was rescued, she said thanks to Prince Andrew but after that, she is cold to him again. Since Prince Anders is not feeling well, she does not have a choice but to study and eat with Prince Andrew in the meantime. The next days, she became closer to Prince Anders, she volunteered to feed him and encouraged him to take the medicine.

When she reached fifteen years old again, she received flowers and a note saying that they have to meet in the garden at midnight. She thought it was Prince Anders but later found out that it was Prince Andrew. He prepared a romantic setup in the garden and confessed his feelings to her under a beautiful blue moon.

"Beatrix, I love you... Since the first time I met you, you have stolen my heart. When the time comes that you need to choose between the two of us, please choose me... I promise to love only you! You will be my only wife in this life and the next..." He said sincerely and held her hands. This made her heart go faster as she looked at him in the eyes, felt the warmth of his hand on hers and she was almost tempted... very close... to saying 'yes!' But she remembered what happened in her past life so she thought that it will be better if he will become her brother-in-law in this lifetime.

"I am sorry, Your Highness, Prince Andrew but I do not feel the same way..." She withdrew her eyes, hands, and her heart when she said it. "It is your brother whom I truly like and it is him whom I want to spend the rest of my life. I hope that His Highness, Prince Andrew can understand that." She said and then leave him alone in the garden without waiting for his reply.
