That's when I realized what a true friend was.

Someone who would always love you- the imperfect you, the confused you, the wrong you.

"I do not like it, Faye no." River shouted in the top of his lungs, a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Hell yes, you are going to try it." A giggle escaped from Faye's throat as she ran after him, holding a cotton candy on her hand.

"That is shit." He said with a laugh as he pointed at the pink candy that she was holding.

"You did not just say that." Faye playfully glared at him, increasing her pace.

They ran out of the food court and suddenly were in the kid's area, running after each other.

Their were kids there who giggled as they look at them.

"Run, that witch is gonna eat you." River said in an animated voice which made all the children laugh.

"You fucking jerk." And as soon as those words left her mouth, she froze. She could already feel eyes burning hole in the back of her head.

She turned around and met the eyes of the angry parents.

"Mommy, what did she say?" A little girl pulled the hem of her mother's shirt and asked.

All the colors ran out of Faye's face and she looked at them with guilt, "Ah, I am really really sorry." She mumbled an apology to all the parents and ran away from there.

"Bad Faye, how can you swear in front of those kids? Tsk, tsk, poor kids." River laughed as he saw her with an uneasy look.

"You idiot, come here." She looked at him with a stink eye and ran after him.

"Woah, woah, someone help me from this evil woman." He laughed, sticking his tongue out, teasing her.

Heat evaporated through her, anger spilling out of her.

The nerve of that guy.

She ran as fast as she can, full determined to catch him.

"You octopus." And as soon as she reached near him, she dumped the cotton candy on his head, using both of her hands to spread it on his hair.

"What the fuck..." He shouted, trying to run away from her grasp.

"Oh, not so soon." She laughed, running her hand over his head.

"You bloody woman." He looked deathly, a glare visible on his face.

"Oh shit." She squeaked, her eyes narrowing by a fraction.

He was going to kill her.

"Someone help me." And before he could reach for her, she ran away from there, laughing hard, finding a place to hide.

"I am going to get you sunshine." He said, a playful smile dancing on his lips as he ran his hands through his now sticky hair. "Ugh, let me first get rid of this shit." He scrunched his nose as he saw the pink sticky substance on his hands.

Faye walked around the fair, trying to find a place to hide from River. A wide mischievous grin was plastered on her face and her eyes were twinkling.

Hell, she was having fun. Something she had forgotten to feel.

She stopped in her track when her eyes caught something.

She saw a familiar mop of brown and instantly a smile made its way to her lips. The girl had her back in front of Faye but she was more than sure that she was Aubree.

"Bree, where are the others?" She shouted, asking her about Zach and Madeline.

But the girl did not here her calls as well, she was really far away from her.

And that is when Faye noticed the girl who was talking with her best friend.

She was a blondie, and as she was facing Faye, she was able to she her perfectly.

The girl was beautiful and there was not a tint of make-up on her face. Her hair was in a messy bun and a white tank hugged her body along with a pair of shorts.

Faye had never seen the girl with Aubree, never, and she was more than sure that she was not from their town.

Smiling, she started to walk towards them, ready to make a conversation, and just as she was about the call Aubree, her phone started to vibrate.

Faye pulled out her phone to see Madeline's caller ID flashing on the screen.

"What?" She asked.

"Faye... where are you? Hell, even Bree is not here... I need to tell you something..." Madeline's voice boomed through the speakers.

"Mads, I am gonna meet you at the food stall as soon as possible, alright?" And without hearing an another word from Madeline, Faye hang up.

But when she looked up to see where Aubree was, she was blown away.

She just stood there, stunt.

Her throat became dry, and her eyes narrowed by a fraction.

The scenario that she was witnessing right now, made her question if it was a dream.

If it was for real.

It is not possible. She never told me about it. Why she dated River then?

Questions started to pop inside her head but there was no one to answer them.

There stood Bree with the girl, both of them kissing each other, making out in front of her eyes, not being aware of her presence.

She never told me about it.

She did not know what to feel. She looked at her best friend and saw the smile that she had planted on her lips. She looked so happy, so so so happy.

But why did not she tell her about it. Was she ashamed? Hell, she should know, Faye will always be there for her, always with her, ready to accept her.

She let out a shaky breath before starting to walk away from there.

Did she not trust me enough? Did she think that we will not accept her? Hell, why did not she tell me? And what was with all that dating with River?

She suddenly was angry, upset. She felt like Aubree did not trust her enough.

"Caught you. Where are you gonna run now?" She heard River's voice from behind and turned around.

"You knew, did not you?" Faye glared at River, making him look at her in confusion.

"I knew what?"

"You knew that Aubree can never have feelings for a guy, you knew that she... she is a... a lesbian..." Faye's eyes never left his.

"I... I, how do you... how do you got to know?" He asked with a gulp.

"I saw her, making out with a girl." She said, fidgeting with her fingers.

"She, she was going to tell you..." River breathed out.

"When? When was she going to tell me? In my death bed?" Faye scoffed, anger blaring through her nerves.

"No, she just... she does not know if you all will accept her... She's struggling with her insecurities... you will have to understand Faye, it is not easy for her..." He said, holding her hands.

"She... she should know... we... will always love her, no matter how she comes out to be..." Faye said, her voice small and hurt.

"You were not supposed to know about it like this... let's get out of here first." And he dragged her out of the fair.

"Wait, does that mean you were never in a relationship with her in the first place?" She asked, her head becoming a mess of thoughts.

"Ugh, it is not my place to tell you Faye, but just know that she will tell you all everything, just give her some time, aha?" He held her face with both of his hands, and looked at her in the eyes.

"She is figuring out everything, help her, help with all this, do not hate her, do not get angry, she is already going through a really hard phase." He said, trying to make her understand.

Faye faintly nodded her head, somewhere, understanding.

"Guys, we need to get her home. She is drunk." And both of them turned around to see Zach holding Madeline in his arms.

"Hey guys." Madeline said in a slurry voice, a sloppy grin plastered on her face.

"What the hell Zach? How did she got drunk?" River glared at his brother.

"Do not blame me. Faye, this girl cannot even bare a shot of tequila. She said that she will be fine but... fuck, I should not have take her there." Zach cursed under his breath.

"Help me get her in the car, someone." And River ran up to help him with Madeline.

"Faye, go and get Aubree, we are going to leave now."

How's she going to face Aubree now?
