Modern!Aemond Targaryen x Reader
You and your husband, Aemond lay peacefully in bed. You're checking some last minute emails on your phone and Aemond is reading a book from his library.
Silence is normal in your household. But it's comfortable silence. You've learned to like it rather than have the space filled with unnecessary conversation.
Once in a while you glance over at your husband and admire his features. His strong jawline that is so sharp it could slice bread, his stoic but calm face, his white hair that falls along his shoulders. And of course how could you forget: his eye. The sapphire that holds the place where is eye once was. The jewel that looks like it holds a galaxy inside the way it glistens in the light.
You can't help but think how lucky you are to be married to him, let alone have him as the father of your children.
"See something you like?" He asks, his eye not leaving the page.
"Are watching me watch you?" You smirk.
"It's become a habit over the years." He turns a page.
"I can't help it." You shrug. "You intrigue me."
"Still? After all these years?"
"Of course. I can't stop." You turn back to your phone and Aemond focuses his attention back on his book.
"Do they love me?"
"Does who love you?" You ask back.
"The children." He answers.
"What?"
"Do my children love me?" He places a bookmark inside and closes the book.
"Why would you think that they don't?"
He shrugs.
Sometimes expressing his words aren't his strong suit. And it's not because he doesn't want to, he just doesn't know how. He's always been an observer more than a speaker.

You put your phone on the nightstand next to you.
"I had a conversation with your daughter the other day..."
You sit on the couch with your laptop in front of you when you hear a small pair of feet approach you.
"Mummy." You look up and see your 4 year old daughter, Aurora standing in front of you.
"Yes darling?"
"Is Daddy home yet?"
"No. He's still out with your brother. Why?"
"Good. I just want to tell you that I know. I know about Daddy."
You close your laptop and set it aside in slight anticipation as to what is going to leave your child's mouth.
"What do you know about Daddy?"
She sighs.
"I know that Daddy doesn't say 'I love you' as much as you do."
"Is that a problem? Do you think Mummy says it too much?"
She gives an exasperated sigh.
"No Mum." You fight the urge to chuckle seeing how serious she is. "That's not what I'm saying at all."
"So what are you saying?"
"I'm saying that I know that he doesn't say it but that's okay because he doesn't have to. He does things that tell me that he loves me."
"Like what?" She clicks her tongue.
"For example... when he reads me stories, and when he writes me the poetry, and when he lets me play with his hair because I know that Daddy doesn't let everyone touch his hair, and when he picks me up and hugs me."
"Is that everything?" She shakes her head furiously.
"There are so many things." Her eyebrows furrow. "Maybe I should write them down..." she says softly.
"I think he would like that very much."

"Well if you tell Daddy what I said, please tell him that I love him very much."
"I will sweetheart."
Aemond watches you intently as you come to the end of the best reenactment that you could do.
"You see? Your daughter still loves you even if you don't say it all the time. That right there is proof of love." You point to the bookmark in his book that she made for him because she knows how much he loves to read. "Silas did not just inherit your hair color. He has your mannerisms as well. He doesn't express it verbally but I can see it in his face, when you congratulate him and tell him what a good job he's doing."
"And this doesn't bother you?"
You shake your head.
"Your love language is through action and affection. The words may not leave your mouth, but they can be written clearly and beautifully. And I've grown to love that about you."
You take his hand.
"Never doubt that they love you. Because they do." You kiss his cheek.
The conversation that the two of you had lingers in his mind, long after you've gone to sleep.
Aemond gets out of bed and goes into his son's room first. He stands in the doorway for a few seconds before walking up to the bed. He bends down and says softly to his son:
"I love you Silas." Silas moans softly in response. Aemond hopes that if he didn't hear him in the real world, he at least heard him in his dreams.
After he leaves his sons' room, he goes to his daughter's.
Aurora is splayed across her bed, her inherited white hair surrounding her like a crown. He sits down on her bed and adjusts her covers. She moves and slightly opens her eyes.
"Daddy?" She says sleepily.
"I'm right here Princess."
"Are you alright?"
Aemond nods.
"I came in here to... to tell you that I love you." She smiles and opens her arms. He leans down and hugs his daughter.
"I love you too Daddy." She kisses his cheek and his face heats up. "I have something to give you. I made a list."
"You can give it to me in the morning." He says. "Go back to sleep."
Aemond climbs back into bed in content and falls asleep with ease, knowing he is safe and loved.

Papercuts to Fell Immortals
Qing Shen is a girl from the counrtyside, forced into a role she never wanted by a Young Master who's infamy is spread throughout the land. As a Cultivator in the path to immortality, Qing Shen has to deal with her own problems as well as the mysteries surrounding her Young Master. Things, however, are not as they seem, and the young girl finds that sometimes the truth is more unbelievable than the lies we often follow. . . . If you want a less hidden-meaning summary: This story is about the struggles of one girl as she tries to become an Immortal. There won't be any meaningful romance, but there will be a plot that spans most of the story, and violence. Oh the violence! I'm not going to say that my ideas are 100% original (because hoo boy are there a lot of Wuxia), but hopefully I can write something entertaining. Guaranteed things: 1. Cliche events with a twist (I mean, it's literally in the description) 2. Important Characters will have backstories and motivations that will hopefully make them not one-dimensional (honestly, that's just normal stuff...) 3. Untrustworthy characters (everyone in the story lies, even me, so don't trust everything you read... but at the same time, trust everything you read) 4. Goodish grammar (not gonna say mine's the best, but it's readable in most cases) 5. Plot! (Everywhere!) 6. worldbuilding? (Should be there somewhere, but I probably won't do blatant info dumps... probably) 7. Character development? (Its there... at some point...) 8. The story gets dark at some points (if you don't like characters dying, then this might not be your cup of tea) 9. A strong main character? (She'll be strong, yes. However, her enemies are also strong. If everyone is strong, then is she no longer strong? My brain hurts) 10. Wow, this list is going on for awhile... uh, Believable and reasonable Action? (I mean, I'm writing for mainly my fun, so if I want a fight scene, then I might craft a scenario to explain it... or I might suddenly throw in a Dragon and call it a day) This story also goes by the same name over on Webnovel.com, but I'm going to be updating it here because, well I want to. They are both by me, and created by me. If there's anything that seems like a copy of another work, then that's just the genre being saturated by everything under the sun.

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
