As they did what Cyrus briefed them with-safety caution, agenda for each day, and locations where different groups will be researching and adventuring. This hyped-up Bennett as he has always been curious about Dragonspine and its nature.

Though, the group that the unlucky adventurer was assigned with did not seem that happy that he was on the team. That did upset the white-haired boy, he still decided to have his hopes high as he did not want his mood to be dragged down by this small matter.

As the adventuring began, the team was caught up by some bad luck from the start and ended with a rough day, getting only a little bit of information about the area.

When the rest was sleeping soundly at the foot of the mountain, Dragonspine, Bennett could not help but think about the lonely wolf that left without him saying goodbye.

The thought has been weighing on his heart the whole night, as the unlucky green-eyes adventurer rested the back of his hand on his forehead. The white-haired boy shut his eyes as he tried to sleep.

As the green-eyed boy's bad luck impacted the group project worsened as days go by, it irked his teammates greatly. Bennett, on the other hand, was excited as each day was getting closer to getting the freedom to meet the once-injured wolf conveniently.

On the fifth day of adventuring, his teammates could no longer bear with it anymore.

"Today was fun! Though we didn't get to search much, it was a nail-biting, thrilling adventure! Don't you think?" Bennett said as walked his way back to the foot of Dragonspine with his teammates. It was evening when the adventurers were called to come back to the respective venue.

"Thrilling?" An adventurer spoke up in an annoyed tone. "I think it was horrible!" The unlucky boy stopped and went to turn around as he heard what one of his teammates said. "It's all because of your bad luck Bennett! We got chased by big cryo lawachurls, almost got crushed by humongous icy icicles and barely got to research anything!" The same adventure complained the other teammates of his nodded firmly in agreement.

"Don't even think about your adventure team getting recognised by all of Teyvat with your bad luck impacting everyone around you, Bennett. I wish you didn't even exist at all!"

It hit Bennett as he was taken aback by those words that hit him like a ton of bricks. His cheerful mood ebbed away and he felt his insides twist and his heart ached as if being stabbed in the heart. Sorrow rose to him as he repeated what the mean adventurer said to him in his mind over and over again. The hurt one inhaled and exhaled nervously as one of his hands clutched his chest, with the other one clenching its fist.

He wanted to cry. He wanted to disappear into nothingness. He wanted to cry on the spot, no, he cannot do that. These thoughts came up to Bennett's mind as he tried to hold back his tears. It seems that the harder he tried, the greater the thoughts that ran through his mind with deeply furrowed eyebrows, and his head hung low

There was silence between the members besides Bennett's soft whimpers. Partially guilty, one adventurer asked, "Hey, Bennett are you

oka—" "If you don't want me on your team, fine! All you do is blame my bad luck, it's always my fault, I'm sorry, okay? It's all about my bad luck, something that isn't under my control, I'm quitting this project, happy now?" The unlucky one snapped and interrupted as his voice cracked. His eyes reddened as tears welled up his eyes. He sniffed loudly before swiftly turning around, ran off with tears streaming down his face. After being far away from the group of adventurers, the green-eyed boy walked to Wolvendom with a quick pace.

He went to Wolvendom as his mood brightened up a little. As he reached the entrance of Wolvendom, his heart shattered into infinite pieces.

The sight before him was the grey-furred wolf, sitting down in front of him. Turns out, it was waiting for him continuously without a day going back into the forest.

Bennett fell onto his knees. With his face buried in his palms, he broke down in grief, weeping and sobbing uncontrollably in front of the wolf.
