Bennett sat down laid some food on the grass-an apple, sunsettia, berries, raw meat from a boar, and a potato.
"I found them when I was adventuring yesterday, I might as well bring the food you like every time I come and visit! So, pick the one you like," the adventurer said with curiousness.
The wolf sniffed the items, then picked up the potato with his fangs. Laughing, the green-eyed lad reached out his hand, where the grey-furred wolf dropped the potato at. Bennett took out a dagger from his satchel, which is the only appropriate thing to peel the potato skin, and carefully did so.
"Ah," the boy winced in pain though saying it calmly. "Got a cut there," he continued as the adventurer accidentally cut himself while peeling the skin midway, with blood slightly flowing out and dripping from his fingers.
The wolf went closer to Bennett, eyes staring at the cut. "It's no big deal, Wolfie! I'll just bandage it on, hang on for a moment" the green-eyed boy replied in seeing the grey-furred wolf's action, moving his arm away from the half-peeled potato, cautious not to stain the food.
After treating his cut, he proceeded to peel the potato.
"It's done! Here Wolfie!" Bennett handed a skinless potato to the red-eyed wolf. Picking it up with his fangs, the wolf chewed on the potato hungrily. The white-haired adventurer watched as his chin rested on both palms, which were resting against his knees.
Consuming the potato fully, the grey-furred wolf pointed its nose to the raw meat lying down on the green grass. Bennett grinned as he said, "I was expecting that, I spent quite a while hunting for a boar, they either knocked me down or ran away even before I could hunt them down! Luckily, with a boar trap, I managed to get one! Go on, you can eat it!"

"So I guess meat and potatoes are your favourite, alright, I'll try to find and bring them every time I visit you then!" The adventurer said as he placed the apple and sunsettia back into his satchel, the wolf biting on the raw meat deliciously.
After spending time with the recovered wolf. He stood up quickly and said, "Oh! I've got to go, my day's quite busy today-I have to ask one of the adventurers to fill me in on what I've missed for the meeting and complete my commissions, I also want to hunt for some treasure and find some food for me to bring to you tomorrow! Bye Wolfie!" He waved as he turned back, then stopped. "Right, I've lost my way again..." Bennett trailed off, feeling embarrassed.
The wolf understood and lead the unlucky adventurer out of Wolvendom once again. "I'm sorry Wolfie, I don't know my way here, I'll get used to it, I promise! Just...lead me out a few more times if that's fine with you hehe..." he said with guilt.
As the boy was about to leave, he felt the same weight on his right foot from yesterday, turned back, and questioned the wolf. "Is something wrong?" The grey-furred wolf pointed to the bandage on his right ankle with his paw.
"Oh! Don't worry Wolfie, it's just a minor fracture! Anyway, I got to go, see ya!" Bennett said as he ran off.
"Oh, Wolfie! You waited for me?" Heartfelt, the green-eyed adventurer said as the wolf sat in front of the entrance to Wolvendom. It was a breezy morning with air as fresh as ever.
Bennett sat down as he slightly stretched his arms in the air. He exhaled as he leaned forward to the wolf. "As promised, I brought some meat and potato to fill your stomach!" He said excitedly. With quick movements, the adventurer took out some pre-prepared potato with its skin peeled, and raw meat from the boar.

"This is all I got, I hope that it will make you full enough!" He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh right, there's something I want to tell you," the white-haired boy suddenly remembered what to say. The wolf stopped chewing its raw meat. "I'm adventuring to Dragonspine for a group project assigned from the Adventurer's Guild, I may not be able to visit you as often as daily. We'll also be camping there for a week, so deepest apologies Wolfie!" Bennett said as he placed his palms against each other and bowed down slightly, showing he is sorry.
The wolf took its food swiftly and went into the woods quickly. "Wolfie, where are you going?" Frustrated, the unlucky adventurer questioned as he stood up and reached out his hand. As he was about to run after him, the boy felt a sudden pull on his arm. They turned around in surprise, it was Jack, an old member of Benny's adventure team that was pulling his arm.
"Why are you planning to go deeper into Wolvendom, it's dangerous!" Jack told Bennett. As the green-eyed boy parted his lips to reply, he was interrupted by the other adventurer. "No time to waste, Cyrus wants us back as soon as possible to listen to the procedures and set off to Dragonspine. C'mon, let's go!" Jack said with hurry in his tone, the unlucky adventurer followed his old member, but find himself staring back at Wolvendom. As he went further and the forest was not in sight, he then concentrated on the road in front of him.

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
