Pacifica walked down the street quickly trying to get her mind off all the problems going on at home, with friends just life. She felt like screaming and thought she might have if she hadn't heard a voice behind her.

"Hey." It whispered to her, as she felt a light tap on her shoulder.

She turned and was met by Dipper. She jumped back a bit. "Oh gosh, don't do that Dipper." She said.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said, laughing a bit. "What was that about? You seemed...frustrated

"Oh, it was nothing..." She told him. "Just... life..." She shrugged and sighed.

"Well you'll make it!" He said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder, smiling at her.

She smiled back a bit. "I hope so." She said.

Dipper moved his arm from around her shoulder. "Hey, you wanna come by and hang out?" He asked, smiling wider.

"Sure." She said, glad to be able to have something to keep her mind off everything else.

Dipper grabbed her hand and ran in the direction of the Shack with her, smiling widely the entire way. Pacifica laughed and followed him. Soon they got to the Shack, breathing heavily from the running.

"Movie?" Dipper asked, a common activity for them.

Pacifica nodded. "Sure, your turn to pick."

Dipper sighed. "Fine." He said and picked out the movie, putting it in and starting it before coming over and trying to sit down next to Pacifica, but seeing she had laid across the couch, playing on her phone.

"Really Paz?" He asked. She just nodded. He shook his head lightly and lifted her legs up, sitting down and dropping them back in his lap."Weirdo." He told her.

"Weirdero." She said back, sticking her tongue out at him, smiling and looking back at her phone.

Dipper laughed a bit and leaned back against the couch, watching the movie for a while before looking over at Pacifica who was still on her phone. "Are you even going to watch the movie?" He asked, smiling.

Pacifica looked up from her phone. "I've seen this movie a million times, I can picture every thing just by listening to it." She told him before looking back down.

Dipper rolled his eyes and continued watching the movie.

Soon the movie ended, Dipper looked over to see Pacifica asleep. He smiled and slowly moved her legs off of his lap and stood up. He took a blanket off the back of the couch a put it over her. He stared down at her a moment.

"Goodness, what's wrong with me..." He whispered to himself, shaking his head. Before going to the kitchen to get some food, seeing there was none he decided to go back into town and get some. He quickly wrote a note to Pacifica that he'd be back soon and laid it by her. He then left to go get the food.

He walked into town, trying to decide what he would need to get but continually having Pacifica interrupt his thoughts. He didn't know why all this was happening now, but it was. He had spurts of not being able to think of anything but her. Then the next day it was all journals and mysteries. But that didn't... excite him as much anymore. For some reason the thought of Pacifica did. Why? He didn't know. Or he wouldn't admit it to himself.

Dipper sighed and started toward the store quickly getting the food, paying and heading back to the Shack. He walked in and heard noise in the kitchen, he was surprised knowing Mabel wasn't home. He walked in and saw Pacifica frying something on the stovetop.

"What are you doing?" He asked, walking over and putting the food on the counter.

"You're very UNcreative you know that?" She asked, looking over at him as she stirred whatever food she had in the pan.

He walked closer and leaned over the pan smelling whatever it was in there. "Wow." He said, pulling back and looking at her, raising an eyebrow at her. "Since when do you cook?"

"Since you claimed there 'wasn't any food' in that note you left." She said and turned back to cooking it all.

He smiled a little. "Well, it smells great." He said and started putting stuff away.

Pacifica smiled to herself and continued with the cooking. "So, what have you been up to lately?" She asked. "I haven't seen or heard much of you for a while." She told him.

Dipper finished putting stuff away and walked over, sitting on the counter near her. "Just focusing back on the journals." He told her.

"When does your focus ever leave the journals?" She asked, laughing a bit.

'For some people, like you, quite a bit...' He thought to himself. Dipper could feel a light blush after that but ignored it and laughed a bit too. "Good point." He said.

Pacifica smiled at him before turning off the stove and grabbing a couple plates, putting them down on the counter and putting some food on each one. She handed a plate to Dipper. And watched as he took the first bite and laughed as he pretended to gag at the taste. He chuckled a bit.

"Nah, it's great." He told her. "Where'd you learn how to cook?" He asked.

"Online looking through recipes." She said, laughing a bit.

"Hey, if it works!" He said, shrugging.

Pacifica smiled a bit and a thought came to her. "Hey what are you doing tomorrow night?" She asked hesitantly, trying to decide whether or not she should do this.

Dipper thought a moment. "Nothing that I can think of, why?" He asked her.

"Well, I have this... party I'm going to and you have to bring a friend or date or something, so I thought you might enjoy it." She said, a plan working in her head as she spoke. "There is dancing though, so you would have to learn." She told him.

Dipper blushed lightly. "Yeah, sure." He told her. "What type of dancing...?" He asked, knowing he wasn't exactly skilled in that art.

"Just super basic ballroom is what you would need to know." She said. "I can just teach you sometime before then." She told him.

"Uh, yeah, yeah sure." He said, nodding. "When do you want to do it?" He asked.

"Here, let's go ahead a do it." She said, smiling as she walked over to him and grabbed his hand, pulling him to the middle of the room. She got into position, placing a hand on his shoulder, holding his hand with her other. She laughed a bit, sensing he felt awkward and she held his other hand, placing it on her waist before smiling up at him.

"Just follow me okay? Ready?" She asked.

"Absolutely not." He told her, blushing a bit now.

Pacifica smiled wider and started on the movements, closing her eyes and humming a song to herself. After a minute or two she felt Dipper's hand move to her back pulling her closer and figured he hadn't realized he'd done so. She let him take the lead, following along with his movements, eyes still closed and still humming the song.

Dipper didn't really remember how they had ended up dancing in the first place, or how she had ended up so close to him, or how he had ended up able to lead the dance at all, but he couldn't stop staring down at her, looking so happy, humming a song he had never heard before. Dipper soon found them standing in the middle of room, no longer dancing but faces inches apart, once again, not sure how they got there.

Pacifica opened her eyes and looked up at him, surprised by how close he was to her. She stared at him a moment, not sure what to do. "Um, Dipper..." She started before he leaned in closing the gap between them, pressing his lips against hers. Pacifica's eyes widened in surprise even though she had been expecting it. 'Dipper Pines is kissing me...' It took a while for her to really register the thought but she soon found herself placing a hand on his cheek, kissing him back.

Dipper pulled back after a few seconds and smiled at her. "Okay..." He said. "That was much better than expected..."

Pacifica laughed a bit. "Yeah..." She replied, smiling widely. "There's no party by the way." She told him.

"What?" He asked confused.

"I made all that up." She said, holding back another laugh.

Dipper laughed. "Seriously, you tricked me?" He asked as chuckled as she responded with a nod. "So, I'm supposing you knew I would do that?" He asked, wrapping his arms around her waist and smiling down at her.

She smiled back and nodded. "Yeah, you can very predictable." She told him.

He smiled and leaned down, close to her face. "Well, you should trick me more often." He whispered before smiling wider and or seeing his lips against hers, closing the gap between them once more.
