《Twice Bitten ✔》Chapter 24

Bianca was trying hard to calm Emmett down, she looked pathetic. Didn't she realize she was just a sex toy or was she really that desperate for attention? Dylan printed out a couple of papers, and I got up to get them for him. As I walked towards the printer, I heard Emmett mutter "" under his breath. I shook my head. If I was such a whore, then why was he still worried about whether I kissed someone or not? I couldn't understand him for the life of me.

Emmett had made snide remarks throughout the entire lesson and even though I had kept Dylan at bay I was starting to get pissed.

After a while, I wasn't even mad anymore. I was just disappointed. The sweet boy that I had fallen in love with seemed so dar away. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

"What, nothing left to say? Did you run out of fire?" Emmett said after throwing another snide remark.

Dylan had had enough and stood up, ready to snap. I quickly placed a hand on his chest. I smiled and gave Emmett a sad smile.

"At one point you knew me better than anyone. So you know good and well how pissed I was, but you know what, Em, I'm not even mad anymore."

Emmett spoke through clenched teeth. "And why is that?"

"Because more than anything... I'm hurt. You were never just my boyfriend. You were also one of my best friends."

I let out a breathy laugh. " I guess it's just how crazy how fast it all fell apart and how little I really knew about your personality."

Emmett opened his mouth to speak when the door burst open.

I breathed a sigh of relief when the Substitute arrived.

"My apologies, Vanessa. I had hoped to get back earlier."

I thanked him before grabbing my stuff and walking out.

"Are you okay?" Dylan ran a soothing hand down my back.

I took a deep breath.

"Yeah, I'm good," I said pulling the schedule out

"Okay, last class is P.E," I said, looking at the sheet of paper.

"Finally! Now, this I can do!" Dylan cheered

When I walked into the gym, I sighed. I should've known he was too excited. Dylan had a wicked smile plastered onto his face; we were definitely playing Dodge ball. I made my way over to him.

"You just wanted to hit people in the face, huh?"

"Hey! Dodge ball is a great stress reliever!"

I shook my head and watched as everyone split into teams. The Substitute looked less than interested in what was going on. It almost made me wonder what the point of them being here was. Before I knew it, the day was over. Me, Leila, and the Alverez family decided to hang out at a nearby park to kill some time. We were just being silly and having fun I shrieked when Dylan picked me up and sat me on the swing with him. I closed my eyes as Dylan swung us up higher and swore. I saw a flash of light but chose to ignore it.
