《Twice Bitten ✔》Chapter 23

I groaned when my alarm clock went off and got up to get ready. In my sleepy haze, I remembered that Dylan was picking me up and rushed to my closet to look for a cute outfit. "Oh Dios Mio!! (Oh My God!!)" I can't find anything! I finally found some skinny jeans and a low cut Marilyn Monroe shirt. I pretty much ran down the stairs when I heard him honk. I was surprised to see Tony and Rafe sitting in the backseat.
"You don't mind, do you?" Dylan asked as I slid into the car.
"No, of course not."
"Hey, what's Leila's address?" Dylan asked
"Huh, Why?"
Tony smirked and nudged Rafe. "Lover-boy here wanted to pick her up."
I laughed and watched as they teased each other mercilessly.
To say Leila was shocked was an understatement. Tony and Rafe made sure they took up all the space in the backseat, and I sent Rafe a knowing smile.
"Aren't you gonna scoot over?" Leila asked
Rafe shook his head, "Nope."
Leila sighed, knowing that there was no way out of this one and sat on his lap. When we got out of the car, Dylan held my hand, and Tony had his arm around my shoulder. I looked up and saw Jesse glaring past us and looked over to see Rafe hugging Leila from behind. Ouch. I know he's been crushing on her for a while now.
Rafe stepped away from Leila and headed off to class. I watched as Leila walked over to Jesse to talk. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but I knew whatever it was, it was upsetting her. I shrugged out of Dylan and Tony's grasp and rushed to her side.
"I think you should leave now," I told Jesse

He rolled his eyes and walked away.
I focused my attention on Leila. "What the hell just happened?"
"He saw me with Rafe and said that I was easy and that we shouldn't talk anymore," Leila said her head downcast.
"Your not easy, Leila. He's just an asshole."
"I know I just don't want him to be mad at me."
"Before things get any messier you should sort out your feelings and see who you like more, Jesse or Rafe. If not someone's going to get hurt." I said hugging Leila
"I know."
When lunch came around Leila nearly tackled me to the ground. " I know! I know who I want!"
I chuckled, "That's good. So... Who's the lucky guy?"
"Well...." Leila dragged out.
"Spit it out or get smacked," I said
Leila faked a gasp. "Violent much?"
"Very, now talk. It's rude to leave your best friend in suspense."
"Whatever I have going on with Rafe... I want to explore it."
I sniffed, "My little girls all grown up."
"Shut up!" Leila giggled and then sighed.
"What's wrong? You were practically glowing a minute ago."
"I know, but I just feel bad about Jesse. I mean, it wasn't that long ago that I was crazy about him but now my head and my heart are filled with Rafe." Leila finished with a blush.
"I know being the sweetheart that you are; you're trying to to think about his feelings, but you have to put yours first."
I flashed her a warm smile and wrapped my arms around her.
"Yeah, you're right," Leila said
"I'm always right." I giggled, and Leila mumbled something under her breath.
By the time school was over, I was dead tired. Before we left Mrs. H called Dylan and me into her office and told us that the TA program would officially be starting tomorrow. I hugged Dylan goodbye and drove home. When I got home, I flopped onto my bed and sighed. I was asleep within seconds.
