"Finals tomorrow?"
"Yeah we won 7-0."
I put my pencil down, starting to pack up my homework. I was done for the night and I figured I couldn't go any longer studying what I had already known for weeks. It was a Saturday night and I was spending it studying.
Studying.
Even Raina had plans tonight. So did my parents. And I'm here. Bored out of my mind until Kevin called right when he entered his hotel room. I can't even admit how annoying he isn't anymore. It's kind like he's there even when you think he isn't.
And saying that in my head makes it sound creepier than it should be but it wasn't a bad thing.
"What the hell is seven o?"
Kevin laughed through the other side of the phone call. "I mean 7 wins, zero losses."
"Oh." I could feel my face flush from the silght embaraasment.
Kevin chuckled. "It's okay. You'll get used to hearing the sports talk."
"Anyway." I started dramatically, trying to move the and he laughed again.
"Did you all the homework you had to do?"
"Yeah. Sorry I didn't pick up this morning, I was helping do a shift at my dad's restaurant."
"It's okay, it's okay. Hey, quick question. Why don't you just work there if you want a job so bad?" He inquired.
"Because I want to do something for myself, get something for myself without anyone's help. I think a job could do that."
"Smart. Makes sense."
"I know right?"
"It's weird we didn't talk much this weekend."
"Kevin you had back to back games." I reminded him.
"I know but like still. I wanna make up for it."
"By doing what?" I asked.
"Video chat me."
"What?"
"Facetime me. Right now before all the guys come back to the hotel room."
I glanced over at the time and then at my open door. No one was home. No one could interrupt anything. "Fine."
I heard something in the background and Kevin say 'Ow'. "Are you okay?"
"Yup, I'm," The sound of him jumping, possibly dramatically, on the bed, came through. "Fine. Give me a second. I'll call."
I hung up the phone, sitting up on my bed with my laptop in front of me. I perched my phone on it's little stand beside my laptop.

The one second turned into five minutes before I recieved the Facetime call. I answered it and let out a groan.
Kevin gave me a confused look. "What?"
"Put on a shirt!" I exclaimed.
Kevin laughed, reaching over to put it on. "I was going to, relax."
I inspected him a little bit more. "You really fixed your hair for this."
"What?"
"You fixed your hair I can see it."
"No I didn't." He defended.
"Yes you did." I laughed.
"Allow me to look presentable for you okay?"
"That's cute."
"I'm cute? You're complimentning me? Really?"
"Kevin you're not ugly."
"I didn't think I was before you said it. But still, wow. Almost made my heart skip a beat."
"Shut up."
I heard a door open on his side and his eyes moved away from the screen. "Yo." The person said. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing." Kevin said.
"Oh yeah? Then why's your hair like that?" At the end of that sentence I couldn't see Kevin anymore. I could tell that the phone had been snatched from his hand and that he was trying to fight for it back but failed when I saw Hayden's face on his screen.
"Oh," Hayden had this grin on his face after he saw it was me and he looked back probably towards Kevin. "This explains it. Your hair hasn't been like this since you dated Alivia."
Alivia? My mind thinks remembering his ex-girlfriend who moved.
There was a bunch of shuffling as Hayden's face disappeared and I heard a bunch of swearing before seeing Hayden's face again, this time in a brighter setting. I think he was in the hotel hallway.
"Sandra, your boyfriend really wants his phone back."
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Really?"
"She says you guys aren't together!" Hayden yelled, laughing and I got the hint that he was holding onto the door handle to prevent Kevin from opening his way outside.
"I'm working on that." Kevin yelled back.
There was a moment of struggle clear on Hayden's face before he looked down at me through the phone. "You must be worth the chase if Kevin's going after you."
"What do you mean?" I questioned, confused.
"Kevin's Kevin. If he's using all the time he has to-I'M NOT LETTING GO BRO. As I was saying, if he's using all his time he has to pine after you then you're worth it to him."

I stared at Hayden, not believing his words one little bit and he sighed. "Sandra, I mean it. The last time he was probably this way for a girl was Alivia."
There we go. Her name comes back. How great. The door flung open and I was and heard Kayden and Kevin struggle for the phone when finally I heard a door close and Kevin's face appeared.
He let out an exasperated sigh. "Well, hi."
"Hi."
"Hayden's interesting."
"Very."
"So you guys play on the same team."
"In school and outside of school. There's no getting rid of him."
"I remember in grade nine you used to hate him."
Kevin laughed. "That was only because of something that happened in middle school. We got over it."
"I can see that."
"I'm just surprised you remembered," He settled in the bed even though it wasn't late, covering half his face with the duvet. "I forgot to tell you something."
"Oh yeah?"
"Amelia invited me to her birthday thing in a few weeks."
"What?"
"You what?"
"He's your boyfriend and you're my best friend. I considered it rude to not invite him."
"Ames, he's not my boyfriend. You know that. I know that."
"I know but you like him-"
"I don't like Kevin like that. At least I don't right now."
"But you will."
"That's not the point whether I will or not."
"Okay, but you care about him. And he's a cool guy. Besides since he's serious about wanting to take you to prom and actually being something with you then guess what?"
"What?"
"My brothers get to check him."
I groaned into my hands. Amelia's brothers were who I considered my own siblings since they annoyed me as much as Raina does. It didn't make up for the fact that Raina and them got along too.
"Remember when I dated Danny?"
Amelia snorted. "Juan hated him and Raphael predicted when you would break up."
"I'm so happy Raphael graduated," I mumbled. "He used to bother Danny so much, got him scared whenever he walked down the hallway."
"He used to be so intimidating. I kind of miss having him around."
"Kind of?"
"Okay, I miss my brother. I'm surprised he said he would drop everything just to be here for my birthday too."
An arm slid around me at the end of her sentence, pulling me closer. "Hello ladies, how are you on this fine day?"
I glanced at the large window across from my locker that had a view of the field before saying to Kevin with a blank face, "It's raining."
Amelia burst out laughing, grabbing me by the arm to keep her from falling. Kevin rolled his eyes at me from my dry answer. "That doesn't mean that the day isn't beautiful."
"Are you going to walk me to class or not?"
"Wow, I don't even get a 'Hi Kevin, how are you? Did you eat? Did you sleep alright? How do you like your eggs?'"
"How do you like your eggs?" I repeated giving him a look.
He laughed, grabbing my hand. "Scrambled. Thanks for asking."
"I'll see you later S." Amelia said with a smile, walking away.
Kevin studied me for a second. "You look like you want to tell me something."
"Yeah-"
"You want to go out with me?"
"No." I laughed.
"Prom?" He grabbed my other hand. We were holding hands in the middle of hallway, me laughing at the goofy look on his face and not even caring about who was watching usz
"No, Kevin. I got the job you idiot."
He jaw dropped and this boy looked more excited than I was. "Yes! Discounts here I come."
I laughed, swatting him on the arm. "I'm not giving you a discount."
"Listen, I'm proud of you okay? Let me hype you up for this. Let's celebrate. You're employed. I'll buy you food."
"Thanks Kev." I'm getting the hint this guy is realizing the way for us to talk outside of school or text was when food was on the table.
"Now, lemme walk the new worker to her class."
Then ten seconds later, he said. "And I get discounts."
"Kevin!"

Ouroboros Ascendant
Ouroboros Ascendant is a story about friends you meet on the internet, and then spend entirely too much time together hunting monsters, doing quests, earning experience, and risking your life. Except for Jack, Erin, Rory, and Layla, the video game they play together every Saturday isn’t nearly as real or as threatening as the primal world of Ayrgard. A mysterious force has drawn them across the darkness between realms for its own purposes, and they’ll need to survive monsters, politics, and a lurking threat they can’t yet imagine. In the interest of disclosure and ease of access, Ouroboros Ascendant features gay, bisexual, and straight main and supporting characters, and features elements of romance between some of those characters. However, OA is not a story about romance. If you're hungry for more chapters, there's always Patreon.

8 210King's Genesis
A new game, 'Chaos Realms' is released on the eve of the 22nd Century. Its announcement brought skepticism, as the creators claimed it would be the second world for humanity. But all of that doubt was washed away in mere moments. It altered the very bedrock of society. Hundreds of millions of people signed up in mere days, with many more over time. This story, however, is about struggle. One young man's struggle to become the strongest, and how much of his humanity he was willing to sacrifice. But would the game always just be a game? Or would it become something else entirely?

Not a real reincarnation. Welcome to Nexus. A place where the multiverse intersects. Chris Garcia was trying to do the right thing for his sibling when he is shot and killed. Instead of his soul moving on to the next life. He is given another opportunity. Well of course he takes it. Or there will be no story. He gets some ability then dumped into the Nexus. He has much to learn, lucky for him, his ability brings him allies so he won’t die so quickly. (This is my attempt to improve my writing skill. Constuctive criticism are highly welcome) *Note: Some things will develop fast. Other will be a slow burner. Tags will be added as I progress the story. (Honestly, I have no idea where this story is going anymore). Please don't rate this story yet. Give me till 100 chapter to figure out what I'm doing haha. If I can simply entertain some of the readers, that's enough for me. Thanks for taking the time to read! I decide to not edit past chapters. Only touch up on grammers if I get around to it. I want to see the progression of my writing skill.
