《Call Me Cute》Chapter Seven

Frankie hummed sucking on a lollipop she got from Cammy; she doesn't know where she got it but her and Swan were given the honor of getting free candy.

She was currently reading in the school's gardens, while sitting on a bench, it was an article on crossdressing. She was trying to understand Dakota a bit more.

She knew why he did it but she was still curious.

The most she got from her research was the baseline of 'they dress in the opposite gender's clothing' there wasn't anything more. She ran into a term called femboy which sounded similar to Dakota, but if he sees himself as a crossdresser then that's how she'd see him too.

She glanced up from her phone to see the source of her curiosity.

He was a few feet away from her, leaning against the wall, his attitude cool and casual; his friends around him showing the same attitude as they spoke about something.

"Shit he's so cool!"

She turned then to hear a few students gush as they passed her.

"Can't believe he has a girlfriend. I missed my chance?"

"Do you know her?"

"Ah who cares? As long as he still gives me attention!"

"You're such a hoe!"

The girls laughed; Frankie went back to look at Dakota feeling puzzled. She took in this almost sleepy look he had and his soft smirk.

He really does look cool....

She compared this image he was currently displaying to the wide eyed, angry, teasing and chatty person he became when around her.

She groaned in annoyance.

He's like a spoiled rich kid when he's around me..

She thought about how easier it would be if he was the cool casual character he created for school.

She sighed deciding to ignore it, as thinking too deeply only made her head hurt.

"Hey Frankie! Can you help me with this?"

She looked up to see a student from her class holding a few sports materials.

"Woah why are you-"

"Ugh. A few first year boys used them outside of the gym and now I have to bring them back, mind helping?"

She nodded understanding, and collected the net and a few wooden bats from her.

They walked to the back in silence, and Frankie placed the items where they needed to go.

"Thanks so much!" She smiled turning to leave. Frankie nodded and pulled the candy from her mouth to see how far she got to the gum when suddenly someone's mouth covered it.

Frankie froze and slowly looked up to meet Dakota's twinkling eyes.

They stared at each other in silence.

Frankie didn't even blink as she raised her hands to slap him but he quickly blocked her the candy coming out of his mouth with a pop.

She stared at her now tarnished lollipop in pain.

"You god-damned pest."

"Haha. My bad I couldn't help it."

He knew he stepped over the line with this one but he wanted to tease her, he wanted her attention.

"Ugh now I can't eat it." She grumbled going to throw it away when he yanked it from her.

"Don't be so wasteful." He scolded and licked it making direct eye contact; Frankie felt her spine tingle from the way his tongue swirled almost teasingly and looked away.

"Don't you find that gross?"

"Mm. No. It's tasty." He grinned winking at her, she felt her face heat up, realizing he basically sucked on her saliva and walked past him being sure to send a glare his way.

"Ugh. Disgusting."

She hissed coming from around the gym's storage.

"So hey! You open to coming with me later...this weekend?"

"To do what?"

"I gotta go shopping so I'll-"

"HEADS UP!!"

Frankie's eyes widened as she ducked from the incoming ball. Dakota quickly pulled her back into his chest watching as the ball hit the wall just by them. He sighed in relief that it didn't hit her and looked down to see she still had her eyes shut tight. He chuckled, taking this as an opportunity to hold onto her and retrieved the ball. It was a Basketball, he threw it back and waved once the guys collected it.

"Frankie...?" He smirked watching her open one eye to look around.

"If you wanted a hug you could've just-"

She pulled away suddenly to punch him on the shoulder. He winced but gladly took the hit, as he could see her embarrassed expression.

Frankie shivered her body seeming to be on fire from having to be so close to him. It felt like she had a sudden heat stroke.

She cleared her throat trying to regain her composure; fixing her uniform she walked ahead of him.

He ran to catch up with her and pulled her by her sleeve, knowing she didn't like him touching her.

"I'll text you the details...but I'll need you're number...." he blushed having to ask for it.

She glared at him and he expected her to make a fuss about it but when she pulled her phone out and handed it to him, he smiled.

He happily entered his number and gave it back.

"Ha. As if."

She laughed and he frowned watching her type something before showing him. He had put his full name as her contact but she changed it to subhuman.

"You'll be nothing more than a Subhuman in my books."

He grinned not having a problem with that.

"Mmm. This is pretty sweet." He mocked swirling the lollipop around in his mouth watching as Frankie went red again and glared at him. She stomped off muttering how much of a pervert he was and he chuckled.

He placed his hands in his pockets and watched her go.

Biting into the candy, he couldn't help feeling some form of ecstasy as he swallowed, the fact that it was coated in her saliva just seconds earlier and thought:

Maybe I really am a pervert.....

Frankie sighed looking down at her hands in contemplation.

She's been very confused.

Dakota's touched her a few times before but instead of being upset or disgusted she was just fine minus a few seconds of irritation.

What happened earlier flashed through her mind and she went red, groaning quietly.

Aren't people usually disgusted when they took things, from the mouth of others?? Why am I turning red from this???

She looked at Cammy who was busy reading a book and then to Swam who kept scrolling through her phone. They were in the library and thankfully Dakota wasn't anywhere to be seen.

She didn't understand boys that much so she wanted to ask about what Dakota did earlier but something told her she shouldn't. She also wanted to ask if they knew about crossdressing but feared she might be careless and out Dakota, there was also the possiblity of an unfavourable response.

She knew them well but this was a topic that never came up; she had no way of telling how they'd react.

"Please, burn a hole in my head." Swan laughed looking up from her phone. Frankie looked away and chuckled feeling dumb.

"You keep staring, you want something don't you...."

She sighed knowing she couldn't hide it from her friends. They knew her too well.

"I been wondering how long she was gonna stare you down." Cammy laughed putting her book down.

Frankie bit at her nails thinking of how she'd phrase this.

"Uh... Okay... Have you guys...like- uh... Have you ever heard of crossdressing?"

"Mmm. When guys wear girls clothing?" Cammy asked.

"Girls do it too." Swan corrected.

"Yes that!"

"Mm. Yeah what about it?" Swan continued.

"Well....what do you think?"

"Think what?"

"Well you know.....can you be around someone like that? It's not weird?"

Cammy and Swan shared a look before Cammy's eyes began to sparkle.

"You finally found a guy to love??" She yelled.

"It's fine I guess." Swan answered simultaneously.

They looked at each other in confusion.

"Why would she find a guy?"

"Well she brought up crossdressing! And being around them. If you think about it, doesn't that kinda sound like....?" Cammy reasoned seriously.

Eh...?

"Ah crap. You might be on to something." Swan admitted fully turning to her.

"What no!! I don't like him!" She yelled her face going red.

"Him?" Swan asked.

"Who's him?" Cammy teased grinning

Crap.

She looked away.

"I didn't mean like that...."

"Mmmmmmmm. Either way, this person.. or him I guess if you're into that then-"

"I'm not!" Frankie lied, feeling flustered.

"Besides with your condition it makes sense." Cammy finished.

"Wait what? How would my condition-"

"Think about it!" Cammy yelled grabbing her entire face in her hands.

"You hate guys but if they don't look like a guy wouldn't you stop hating them?"

"I duuhh sink das how it wooks." She managed to answer with having her cheeks squished together.

"It's fine really. People like what they like." Swan shrugged.

"Yea. It's not weird, at least in my opinion; but why are you even asking about crossdressing anyway?"

Frankie looked to Swan feeling panicked as she didn't have an answer.

"No reason!" She yelled slapping Cammy's hands away.

Her friends looked at her curiously but didn't bother to push it. They knew Frankie had a reason for asking but they didn't know why, they figured she'd tell them when she was ready.

Frankie sighed covering her face with a book as her friends returned to their activities.

Maybe I'm thinking about this too much.....
