《Science-Bros: the really long and twisty tale of Tony and Bruce.》So now what?

Hulk grunted again, then went back into the depths of Bruces mind, his own little area, but did not slumber.
Bruce head over to the team and said, "He's out of the coma now. One of the enemy must of injected something into his system to put him into a coma. But he's fine now. Hungry, but fine."
Steve smiled, and Thor let out a large breath of relief. Fury nodded once. "And do you have a sample of what was injected?"
Bruce pulls out a small bottle of what he took out of the engineer and showed it to Fury.
Fury took it, and put it into a strange looking machine. It could have been used in an episode of Star Trek on the ship. "JARVIS, analyze this and print off the results." He stood still, ignoring the group as he waited for the chemical makeup of the poison.
Bruce turns back to the team and asked "Would any of you mind taking a quick run to the nearest fast food joint? Tony wants a cheeseburger."
Thor cocked his head to the side, while Steve groaned. "Ever the joker, huh?"
"I guess I'll go then. Anyone want anything while I'm out?" Clint said volunteering to go.
"Some more pop tarts!" Thor shouted immediately, being overally fond of the toaster treat.
"I'm good, thanks anyway." Steve gave an awkward chuckle.
Bruce and Natasha chuckles at Thor's request. "Just the usual for me." Natasha said to Clint.
"Nothing for me. I need to get back to Tony." Bruce said to the archer as Clint left.
Bruce started to leave as well when the machine made a noise, and Fury ripped a piece of paper from a slot. "Nitroglycerin, cyanide, anti-freeze... How the hell is Stark still alive?"
Bruce turns back to when he heard the list of lethal substances and his eyes widen slightly. Biting his lips hard, he hurried back to Tony's room.
[A/N You know, I could stop it right here, but then, that's not very nice now is it? Hold onto your seats for this next bit!]

Just as Bruce opened the door, all the machines inside started going wild. Tony's eyes were open, but gazed over. A bit of foam was in the corner of his mouth, and he started screaming in pain. A dark shadow stood over the edge of the bed, another syringe in its hand.
"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" Bruce yelled as change over to the figure that was at the edge of his bed, pinning him to the floor and knocked the syringe out of his hand. Bruce could hear his watch warning him about his heart rate rising up but ignored it.
Hulk growled loudly inside Bruce's head, feeling the chance of him being let out getting closer. The shadow shoved the doctor off, sending him almost through a wall.
Bruce hit it hard and glared up at the shadow, his heart rate almost reaching to 200%. Bruce reached over to press the panic button near Tony's bed for backup.
Before Bruce could press it, the shadow held out a hand, and the hallway roof collapsed, seperating them from the rest of the Avengers. Even if Bruce hit the button now, no one would be able to reach them in time. Hulk roared loudly, almost smelling the chalky air.
"Son of a bitch!" Bruce growled, falling to his knees as he as his watch slowly reached to 200%. He looked up at the figure, eyes bright green and beyond pissed off.
'My turn.' Hulk said, before emerging, and sending Bruce into the back of his mind. Hulk roared loudly, launching himself at the figure.
~~~~~~~~~
Natasha heard the blast down the hall, and looked over at the others. "Was....was that from Tony's floor?" She asked Steve, hand already placed on her gun.
Steve looked up, as everyone heard a very familiar roar. "I think we have a problem." Steve paused for a moment, then everyone sprang to action, grabbing their weapons.
~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, the shadow landed a punch square in the Hulk's face, before heading towards Tony's side. Hulk looked after it, and then opened his mind, letting Bruce have a chance to talk to him. He has never done this before, knowing that Bruce hates what he does.

'Stop him! Make sure he doesn't lay finger on Tony!' Bruce told the Hulk, wanting him to focus on protect Tony by all means.
Hulk grunted, and ran at the shadow, barreling into him. The heart monitor started wailing like crazy, and Tony stopped moving, and it appeared, stopped breathing. The shadow whispered "It's done now." before fading away into nothing.
'No! NO! Fuck! God fucking dammit! Hulk!! Change me back NOW! I need to save Tony!!' Bruce ordered the Hulk, wanting to change back to help save the engineer.
The Hulk frowned. 'I don't know how. I normally smash until I calm down. Tell me what to do!' He thought to Bruce, furious that the shadow thing may kill Tony.
Bruce groaned in frustration, he was too angry to calm down and he was the only one around to know how to get whatever they inject Tony with out of him. 'We need to save Tony somehow.'
Hulk went to Tony's side, and put a large finger to his neck, checking for a pulse like he had seen Bruce do a bunch of times. 'Weak pulse. Is that good or bad?'
Bruce breathes in a little and said 'Not entirely good.....but it's better than nothing. We need someone to get the poison out of him.'
As if someone was giving the doctor and gamma creature a small break, the floor burst apart in the hallway, and Thor and Natasha rushed into the room. The team, having incountered the sealed off hallway, had decided to go under and up through the floor. "Dr. Banner! You need to calm down!"
Hulk snorted. "Tony need help. Poisoned. Again."
Natasha puts her gun away and raised her hands up to show the Hulk she was unarmed. "Tell us what we can do to help him, Hulk. Can you get Banner back?"
"Too mad." He looked at Tony worriedly. "Need help."
"Okay...What do you want us to do?" Natasha asked him. She was a trained assassin, she only knew the very basic of what medical knowledge she may need in the field if she herself got hurt.
'Tell her they need to drain the poison out of him!' Bruce ordered the Hulk, hoping one of them could save him.
"Drain the poison..." Thor looked unsure, not knowing anything about medical treatment of Midgard.
'God dammit! Tell them to use the syringe!' Bruce said to the Other Guy. He didn't mean to be so stern but all he wanted to do was to save his friend.
"How can we drain him Dr. Banner?" Thor asked, eyeing Tony as the heart moniter beeped slower and slower.
The Hulk pointed to a clean needle. "Use needle. Bruce said so."
Natasha nodded and hurried over to grab it, going over to Tony's side to get the poison out of him. It was obvious as to where it was injected.
The green beast stepped back, after showing Natasha where he had been injected. 'They still don't trust me, do they?' He asked Bruce, seeing as Thor kept his hammer, Mjolnir, in his hand.
'Honestly, that does not shock me. Just ignore them.' Bruce told the Hulk as Natasha manage to drain all of the poison out of Tony.
The Hulk sighed, feeling calmer. He grabbed a towel, and receded backwards, letting Bruce come back out.
Bruce groans as he finally changes back, wrapping the towel around his waist as his tatter pant hung down.
Thor smiled, glad that Bruce is back to not being green, then looked back at Tony. "Is he alright Dr. Banner?" Tony groaned, and opened his eyes. "Yeah... I'm peachy Goldielocks."
Natasha lets out a sigh of relief and smiles a little. "I'll send this to Fury to see if its the same as last time." She told Bruce. Despite what people think, she would be torn if anyone on the team was killed.
[Alright. Now that we know Tony isn't dead, we can cut off here. So people! I would love to hear what you think! Those buttons at the bottom, you see them? Use them, I would be so happy if you do! Pretty please? TFG out!]
