《Byakuya X Reader》❄️Asleep until death❄️

I spent the rest of the day in the library, reading with Byakuya. We occasionally talked and once or twice, Celeste came in to check up on me. She seemed exceedingly worried about me. I had to tell her multiple times that I was fine, she was very persistent.
'Y/N, it's almost 10pm, the cafeteria will be closed soon. I suggest you go and eat,' Byakuya looked up at me.
'Not hungry,' I murmured, lying my head on the table.
'If you say so, but, you're going to regret it when you try to sleep,'
'Fine,' I sighed, closing the book and getting up. 'Want anything?'
'A cup of tea, that's all,'
'Sure,' I shrugged as I walked out, making my way to cafeteria.
As I poured him a cup of tea while getting some food out the fridge, I heard the door open behind me. I turned around to see Sayaka. 'Oh, Y/N,' She said nervously, avoiding eye contact.
'Hey, Sayaka. Um, I'll get out of your way,' I took the cup and walked towards the door.
'I'm sorry for what everyone is thinking of you. I myself, I have done some horrible things in my past, not to that extent but... I understand why you might have done it,' She smiled softly.
'Thank you, but, there is no need to sympathise with me. I understand the crimes I have committed and once we get out of this school... I don't really expect to be free anymore than I am here,' I shrugged as I opened the door. 'Goodnight,'
'Good night, Y/N,' She smiled before I left, walking back to the library with my food and Byakuya's tea.
I opened the door by kicking it with my foot as I walked in, placing the tea on the table. 'There, got your tea,' I slid it over to him.
He picked it up, inspecting it closely. 'It could be better, but what did I expect from asking you of all people,'
'Hey! Next time you go make a cup of tea yourself,' I elbowed him carefully, trying not to hurt him too much before sitting down next to him, looking over at the book he was reading.
'What are you reading?'
'A book,' He replied bluntly.
'I can see that. What's it called?' I rolled my eyes.
'None of your business,' He smirked.
'Fineee,' I sighed as I slumped back in my chair.
'Murder on the orient express, if you really want to know,' He sipped on his tea.

'You really like murders, don't you?' I raised an eyebrow.
'They fascinate me. Nevertheless, murder is still not something I wish upon people I consider friends,'
'Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if you end up being the next blackened,' I laughed.
'I plan to survive. If needs be, I will kill, but, everyone here is smart. It's best to not kill or die, either one results in death,' He explained.
'Oh... I see,' I picked up the book I was reading. 'I'll stop bothering you now,'
'Good,'
I continued to read a couple of hours past the Monokuma announcement before saying my goodbyes to Byakuya and returning to my dorm room. I quickly fell asleep, reading all day somehow really drained me.

'Whose that meant to be?' I asked, writing the name down in my notepad.
'Just a boy,' Junko replied 'But, to find him, I think you'll have to follow some of the teachers,'
'What is this? An elaborate game of hide and seek with guys?' I chuckled, looking up at my friend.
'Oh, it's nothing,' She brushed it off.
'Nothing? Haha, yeah. Likely story. Sounds like a new crush to me,' I teased. 'Anyways, I don't have all day. I promised Aoi and Sakura that I would hang out with them at the gym after school,' I picked up my bag. 'I need to finish one of my jobs before that,' I pushed the gun in the bag down to the bottom.
'Good luck, Y/N,' Junko grinned, waving her arm in the air as I walked away.

As the Monokuma announcement went off, I climbed out of bed. I followed the same routine as normal. I woke up, showered, dressed and then went to breakfast. But, as I entered the cafeteria, something was different. Mondo and Ishimaru were laughing together and smiling. 'Haha! Yeah, bro! I agree with you,'
'What the hell is going on?' I whispered to Makoto and Sayaka.
'I have no idea... Makoto left them at night when they were still having their sauna battle and now... they're like this,' Sayaka shrugged.
'Is Monokuma supplying them with drugs?' I frowned.
'Who knows,'
Apparently, during their "battle" they solved their differences and became friends, or as they would say "best bros". They refused to leave the other one's side as they laughed and talked together. What was this? The classic cliche of haters to lovers?
I walked over to Celeste. 'Morning,' I smiled faintly.
'Ah, Y/N, we were thinking of having another movie day today. We were thinking of watching Sweeney Todd. I know, it's rather, death filled, but it looked good,' She replied as she gestured over to some of the others, namely, Kirigiri, Leon, Sayaka, Makoto and Hifumi.

'Sure, I'll ask Byakuya. He loves murder books and stuff. It's probably right up his ally,' I laughed.
'You're spending a lot of time around him recently.. is anything going on?' She asked while smirking.
'What? Nothing is going on between us. We're just friends, well, I think. We both like to read... I guess,' I shrugged. Why did she think that something was going on?
'Oh, I see. Sorry, I must've gotten confused,' She smiled 'We're going to have it soon, in the AV room, of course,'
'I'll stop by,' I smiled before walking away.
I managed to convince Byakuya to watch it with us. The only problem was that he was too absorbed into the book he was currently reading. But, after a few words, well, the name of the movie, he agreed.
Everyone sat in the AV room, watching the movie together. It felt like just before the murders started, when we still had the other four. But, we had to move on past that. It proved to be a good distraction from all of those thoughts. It was actually and amazing movie, overall. I think Byakuya enjoyed it too, well, it involved murder.
However, as much as I tried. I still couldn't stop thinking about what Celeste said. I know it was probably nothing, but still. I couldn't think of why she would think that? I wasn't acting weird? Was I? But, I still tried to push all those thoughts away.
The next few days, we repeated the same schedule, each day we watched another movie and read more books and everyone grew more closer. We were all learning things about to each other, trying to put trust before our fear. It worked... for a while. The way I see it, everything works before Monokuma comes around. He truly is the bane of my existence.
'You're giving us another motive?' I felt my heart drop.
'Sure am!' He laughed 'This time, every once in a while, someone will fall asleep, against their will. If half of you fall asleep, then you all die! So, in order for everyone to live, you have to kill before you meet your end!'
'So.. you're saying if we don't kill... we'll all die?!' Yashiro exclaimed.
'This is horrible,' Sayaka frowned as she grabbed onto the cuffs of her shirt.
'If that's the case.. everyone must return to their dorms. If you don't sleep in your dorms then you're breaking the rules,' Kirigiri explained.
'Wait.. hold on, that doesn't make sense. I once slept in the library, I was fine,' I frowned.
'Huh? Hold on, wasn't that one of the rules?' Makoto bit his lip.
'Well, usually you would have gotten punished! Buuuut, due to the genius plan of getting yourselves valuable alibis, I decided to let it slid, that once!' Monokuma explained.
'Honestly, I don't know if you want to help us or kill us,' I crossed my arms.
He started to laugh. 'I'll leave the rest to you! Sleep tight!' He vanished.
'This isn't good,' Leon shook his head.
'Let's hurry to our dorms, before anything happens. I.. I don't want to think about what will happen to everyone,' I sighed, trembling slightly, this could the last time we go to sleep if no one kills.
'Good idea, let's go!' Taka instructed as everyone dashed out and towards their own dorm rooms.
Once I got inside, I locked the door before sliding down to the ground. I was going to loose a friend again, or worse, everyone. I managed to get over to my bed and surround myself in the duvet. I felt tears falling down my cheeks. I had never realised how vulnerable to death I really was. How many people had I hurt indirectly by killing their loved ones?
I sat there for a while, thinking of nothing before I realised how hungry I was. I had forgotten to eat. I sighed as I walked over to the door, carefully unlocking it and looking out. By now, the cafeteria would be locked, but maybe I could find something to eat inside the warehouse. I crept along the hall towards the warehouse and carefully snuck inside.
I rummaged through some boxes before finding a box of cookies. I picked them up as I started to walk out. I crept back along the hallway, but I could hear something. Footsteps. I quickly hid myself against the wall, hoping not to be found. After a while, the footsteps stopped and I started to walk out again.
However, I came face to face with a person. Or to be more exact, a knife. I looked up at the holder of said knife... only to see Byakuya. He looked as equally shocked as I felt as he held the knife in front of me.
'Byakuya...?'
