We were all deadly silent as we ran to the bathhouse. Mukuro... was she really gone? I ran ahead faster than the others, she was my friend, if there was any chance she was alive, I would be there to help here.
I ran into the bathhouse. In there, pinned to the wall, was Mukuro. She was being suspended by two knives under her armpits to hold her up. She had been brutally stabbed in the stomach. Not only that, but her disguise as junko was no more. Her wig was lying on the floor next to her, stained in blood. Blood was splattered on the floor and walls, the room was wrecked.
'Mukuro...' I fell onto my knees. I couldn't believe it. I felt a reassuring hold on my shoulder, it was Celeste.
I heard the Monokuma body announcement go off and everyone who hadn't arrived showed up, along with Monokuma.
'Well, well, well, looks like Mukuro Ikusaba has died!' He exclaimed to which everyone else apart from me gasped.
'Mukuro Ikusaba..?' Makoto trailed off.
'Yes... her real name is Mukuro Ikusaba, Junko Enoshima's twin sister,' I sighed, looking down, tears streaming down my cheeks 'she told me Junko... passed away so she decided to take her place so that Junko's reputation wouldn't be ruined,'
'So that must've been the secret you got,' Kyoko stated.
'No, I knew the moment we came into the school, Junko and Mukuro used to be my friends,' I shook my head, standing up with the help of Celeste.
'Ah, I see,'
'Be quiet, I need to get on with the monokuma file!' Monokuma handed them out to us, and I looked it over.
Victim: Mukuro Ikusaba - Ultimate Soldier
Cause of death - Several Stab sounds to the stomach
Time of death - 01:28am
'The ultimate soldier..?' Sayaka murmured.
'So it was during the night, therefore, no one has alibis,' Leon crossed his arms.
'We should start the investigation before we run out of time,' Celeste suggested. 'Y/N?'

'Oh, yeah.. sure,' I was still shocked by the sight of Mukuro's body.
We all agreed for Mondo and Sakura to guard again. While everyone else should investigate.
I walked over to Mukuro's body, looking at the wounds she had suffered. I managed to count at least 28. '28 stab wounds...' I muttered.
'Y/N..' I turned around to see Kyoko looking at me, she looked shocked, in her hand was a piece of paper, stained in blood. 'Y/N L/N is the lying about her talent, she is the Ultimate Hitman,' She read aloud. I felt my heart drop.
'What..' My mouth fell open.
'She's the what?!' Hifumi exclaimed.
'Kyoko... where did you get that..' I looked blankly at her.
'It was in Mukuro's pocket. This gives you a motive, a strong motive..' She looked at me before looking away.
'Since everyone thinks it's you, I'm going to investigate alone, I'm sorry,' Celeste whispered to me as she walked past.
I felt alone, despite everyone being around me... until I felt an hand around my arm. 'I'm only doing this since I know you didn't do it,' Byakuya looked down at me with a slight look of embarrassment.
'Oh wow, I've been saved by Byakuya Togami, there's no chance I will die now,' I crossed my arms.
'You don't have to be so sarcastic, I'm doing you a favour,' He raised an eyebrow.
'Fine,' I shrugged.
'Then let's start investigating, how many stab wounds?' He walked over to the body.
'28 stab wounds' I looked at Mukuro's body blankly.
'With what?'
'Seems to be a kitchen knife, but the ones that are suspending the body weren't used to kill her, there was a third knife used. The diameter is too large of a difference,'
'Good work, let's find the other knife then,' He started examining the room.
'Did.. did he just complement me..?' I murmured 'I guess rich pricks can be nice sometimes..' I started to look around the room, opening all of the lockers one by one as I felt Sakura and Mondo's eyes burn into the back of my neck. I was the prime suspect here.

After I opened all of the lockers I found it in the very last one I opened. Inside was not only the bloodied knife but two pieces of paper. One was Mukuro's secret while the other.. was.. unknown... it was covered in blood. 'Hey, look at this,' I called him over as he bent down to reach the bloodied parchment.
⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ is also known as the infamous serial killer Genocider Jack, due to a split personality disorder.
'Well then.. that must be the real culprit,' I tried to get the blood off of the paper.
'I think this calls for some reading, follow me,' he lead me to the library before then leading me into the back room, where he told me I couldn't go.
Inside were many case files of murders and such. 'So that explains why I can't come in,' I looked around 'Bet my file's probably in there,'
'This is the genocider Jack case file,' he handed it to me and I scanned through it, flicking through different pages.
In normal cases, the victim was Male and often killed with scissors and suspended with them. Being suspended was one similarity. But I'm guessing the killer didn't want to make it too obvious of their identity. 'So, it must've been them, we just need to find out who,' I continued to scan through the file.
'Well that indeed is the problem,' he crossed his arms.
'Any leads..?' I looked over at him.
'Not quite, but I'm sure if we work hard enough, we can find out,' He walked out of the room, me in close pursuit.
'So... why did you pair up with me of all people? I'm not the smartest of people here,' I crossed her arms as we walked.
'You're the only one I know couldn't have done it since you were with me when it happened,' He continued walking, not bothering to even look at me.
'Guys!' I turned around to see Sayaka. 'It's Toko, she fainted when she saw the blood and since then... she's been acting weird, she says she'll only speak to you, Byakuya,'
'Huh, That odd,' I shrugged.
'I suppose we'll entertain this for now,' He sighed as we went with Sayaka to Toko's dorm room.
Sayaka knocked on the door to which we hear Toko's voice. 'W-who is it?' The door opened a crack.
'Y/N and Byakuya are here,' she smiled sweetly.
'M-master Byakuya!' She exclaimed 'I didn't mean to l-let him out, I-I didn't mean to,' she trembled before she closed the door again.
'Lead?' I looked up at Byakuya.
'Yes,' He replied as he scrunched up his nose in disgust at Toko, while Sayaka looked confused. 'Let's go to the kitchen,'
We walked in, I immediately noticed three missing knives. 'Yep, they're from here, I wonder if anyone saw them take them,' I looked out of the kitchen to see Celeste. 'Oh Celeste, just wondering, did you see anything weird yesterday?'
'Weird.. hmm... I noticed Toko seemed a little off after the secret thingy and... hm... that was around the same time the knives went missing, I remember I went to go eat but there were several missing knives,' she frowned.
'Thank you!' I rushed back into the kitchen. 'Byakuya, I found out Toko was here when the knives vanished,' I smiled slightly. 'You think it's her?'
'All evidence points towards it, but we should entertain what everyone else thinks first before we reveal more information. It's more fun,' He smirked.
'Since you helped me, I'll go along with it,' I grinned, leaning against the wall. 'Thank you,'
It's time for the second class trial.

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.
