《Byakuya X Reader》🌸The next Motive🌸

I woke up the next morning, the book was lying open on my chest. I must have fallen asleep while reading. I picked it up, folding the paper to hold my place before sitting it on the table. I quickly changed and walked to breakfast. When I arrived everyone was sitting there, chatting and laughing, it appeared I was the last up. Celeste waved me over and I sat next to her, joining in on the laughter. Mid way through, I glanced over at Byakuya, who was reading and smiled at him. I saw him noticed, but he didn't bother to smile back, typical rich prick.
Just then, the monokuma announcement came on. 'Huh? What now?' I sighed. It was an emergency and he wanted everyone to meet up in the gym.
'Oh shit,' Mondo pounded his fists together.
'N-not another m-motive!' Toko trembled.
We all made our way there, the tension was high. It was happening again. As always, Monokuma appeared. This time he was holding 14 envelopes.
'Goody! You all showed up, it's time for the next murder!' He laughed.
'The last killing was only two days ago!' I protested.
'But I'm bored, so now you have to speed things up a bit, and to help you do that I prepared these!' He threw them at everyone. I picked the one with my name on it 'Y/N L/N's Secret' I felt my heart drop. Was he really doing this of all motives.
Before I could opened it, Monokuma snatched it back, 'hey!' I shouted.
'You don't get these, no, no, no,' she shook his head 'Someone else gets your secret!' My heart sunk even further. Monokuma handed me a new envelope. 'Byakuya Togami's secret,' I carefully opened it, curious on his secret. The appear inside read 'caused all of his siblings to be exiled from the Togami family,' I gasped. How could you do that to your siblings... I would never dare hurt my brother in that way.

Everyone was either laughing or shocked, I guess some secrets were funny. I really hope Celeste got mine.
Most people ran off, putting secrets in their pockets. I stayed behind and so did Celeste. 'Hey... did you get mine?' I asked hopefully.
'Y/N... I'm sorry, no. Who did you get?' She looked worried.
'Byakuya.' I rolled my eyes.
'I got Kirigiri's secret. But for her sake, I won't tell, I hope for Byakuya's sake, neither do you,'
The rest of the day was spent with people avoiding each other and worried looks and glances, no one was in their right mind. Eventually, night time came. I picked up the book that I had gotten yesterday, that I finished during the day and wandered back to the library. Once again, he was there, silently sitting and reading his book.
'What are you doing now?' He asked, his eyes glued to the book he was reading.
'I was just going to put this back and get something different,' I didn't want to look at him, I felt like he would know I knew.
'Just get out of here,' He stated through gritted teeth.
'Why? What's wrong with you mr grumpy pants?' I put my hands on my hips and stared down at him.
'Someone knows my secret. And until I know who that is. I will not trust anyone,' He was angry.
I slipped into the chair next to him, pulling the secret out my pocket and reading it aloud.
'Byakuya Togami caused all of his siblings to be exiled from the togami family. Is that right?' I looked over at him. He glared back at me, furious.
'You had my secret?' He snatched it out of my hands, reading it over and over.

'Yep, if it makes you feel any better, my secret is so much worse,' I laughed.
'Did you tell anyone?' He stated coldly.
'What? No, of course not, it's personal to you so I didn't,' I shrugged.
'Thank god,' he sighed. 'The Togami name would be ruined if they knew the truth,'
'Geez, you really are a little rich kid pissboy, aren't you?' I chuckled.
'What did you call me?' I almost thought his veins would burst from how angry he was.
'Okay, okay, calm down. I'm sorry?' I leaned back on the chair.
He took a long deep breath and tried to regain his composure. 'Well then, you know my secret, so what's yours?' He pried.
'My secret? Haha... none of your business,' I crossed my arms.
'It's only fair,' he looked down at me.
'No way am I telling you,' I shook my head.
'Fine, but I'll sit here until I do find out,' he taunted me as he hit my head with his book before returning to reading.
'Ow,' I muttered before grabbing a book but before I could leave he spoke again.
'It's not wise to be alone tonight, with the motives going around. If you stay here not only will you benefit from an alibi, but I will too. I'll tolerate your presence for once,' he stated. I headed back to the table.
'If you say so,' I shrugged before continuing to read.
Between them and 7am, we had a few conversations, I slept for about 3 hours and when I woke up, byakuya slept, giving each other strong alibis in case of the event of murder.
When the announcement finally went off, I sighed. Standing up. 'I'm hungry, let's go eat,' I stretched my arms before we went to the dining hall. I sat down next to Celeste.
'Y/N, I was worried, I was knocking on your door but you didn't answer, you must be a deep sleeper,' he sighed in relief.
'Oh, sorry, I was in the library with Byakuya. We didn't let each other out of our sight in case of a murder, so we have alibis. Plus I wanted to read,' I smiled, digging into the food.
'With... Byakuya...?' She gave me a sly smirk as I quickly retorted back.
'Not like tha-'
Before I could finish, Sakura burst in, panting and looking worried 'I found Junko's body in the bath house... she's dead,'
