《Smoke (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)》Chapter 14

(Y/n) POV
It was Monday morning, and I was exhausted. Yesterday I had stayed up all night studying for a stupid test, Aizawa-Sensei, had announced last minute. I stretched as I began making my way to school. My (h/c) hair blew in different directions as the chilly wind sent goosebumps down my skin. I tucked my face in my (f/c) scarf.
It sure was getting cold.
"Your ties' fucked up again." I heard a sudden voice cut through the silence like a knife through butter.
I shrieked.
"Oh my fucking god, Balugou. Don't scare me like that!" I wined
He only grinned.
"Here, hold my books." He spoke in a low tone, roughly handing me his books.
"Fuck, You're so goddamn awful at doing this. It almost makes me feel bad for you." He stated, grabbing his books from my hands when he was done.
I chose to simply ignored his insult and keep walking. He shortly passed me since his long legs allowed him to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time. I felt my body chill as we entered the sketchy area someone tried to assault me at only a few days prior.
"Hey,"
I looked up at Bakugou.
"What?"
"Keep up." He mumbled something after that, but I didn't really have the energy to ask what it was about.
As we neared the school, I felt the silence get a bit uncomfortable.
"So..did you study for the test today?"
"Yeah."
"Same. I stayed up all night trying to prepare for it." A yawn escaped my lips, adding confirmation to my statement.
"Nah, for me it was as easy as reviewing my notes for half an hour. I already knew most of the things he taught."

He cockily smirked, proud of himself.
"Geez, congrats." I said dryly, rolling my eyes.
I looked at him for a moment, spotting what looked like a hint of red on his cheeks.
Was it the cold or..?
"If your that stupid then next time I'll help you." He mumbled, just loud enough for me to hear.
I see a teasing opportunity.
I smirked at myself.
"What was that?" I said, cupping my ear, pretending not to hear him.
He growled.
"I said, NEXT TIME YOUR DUMBASS CANT FUCKING STIDY, I'LL HELP YOU!"
His face got a bit redder
Cute
I simply smiled at him.
"Thanks."
——————————
"Man! That test was insane.I totally failed." Mina wined as she ate her lunch.
"Yeah, I know! I got a B- at best." I said, nibbling on my sandwich. I looked around the room, tuning out Mina's explanation on why Midnight is indeed the MOST iconic female hero. Part of me wanted to pretend I didn't know what I was looking for. But deep down I knew exactly what- who I was looking for.
"Have you seen Bakugou lately? I tried to talk to him after the exam but I wasn't able to catch him." I interrupted her tangent.
She stopped talking as soon as the words came out of my mouth. Silence overwhelmed us. I decided to look at her, wondering why she was being so quiet.
"What?"
She was grinning wildly.
"W-whats wrong?" I became more and more nervous.
"So you're looking for Bakugou..ey?" Her grin only grew.
"HEY, KIRISHIMA!" She yelled, waving her hands at the table across the dining hall.
"Mina!" I blushed, trying to calm her down.
I watched as Kirishima stood up and walked towards us, holding his own tray.

But just a second later, my eyes flickered to another person at the table he was previously sitting at
Bakugou
I quickly snapped back to reality when I felt someone set down their tray.
I watched as Mina whispered something in his ear.
There was a glint in his eye as soon as she finished.
I stared at them in question.
"What?"
"We know your little secret" they Kirishima said, smirking.
"Uhh...about what?" I was curious now.
They couldn't possibly know about..?.... no. No way they could know that. Otherwise they wouldn't be smiling.
"We know about you and Bakugou!" They whispered yelled.
"HUH?!" I questioned
"We know everything. Don't worry though. We'll keep your relationship a secret until you decide you want others to know. I'm just kinda sad you didn't tell me!" Mina exclaimed quietly.
"Guys...we're not..together.." I tried to convince them.
"No need to hide it now,(L/n)! We already know." Kirishima added.
"You guys have it all wrong! I swear!" I waved my hands in front of my face, trying to hide a slight blush.
"Then why were you two sleeping in YOUR bed?" She flipped out her phone, showing me a picture that indeed confirmed her statement.
"I uh.." I stuttered nervously. I couldn't think straight, feeling my entire body heat up intensely.
"Why the fuck are you so red." My head slowly twitched up, getting even redder as I saw the boy in the picture standing right in front of me.
"BAKUGOU!" I yelled.
"Stop fucking screaming!" He yelled back ironically, taking the seat beside me.
Mina immediately began laughing, Kirishima joining her.
"What the fuck is so damn funny?" Bakugou asked, aggravated.
"Oh! It's nothi-" i was cut off by Kirishima handing Bakugou the phone.
It was a picture of Bakugou and I in each others arms in my room. The 'funniest' part was that I was wearing his shirt whilst he wore no shirt.
I could see his ears get a bit red as his eyebrows furrowed.
He quickly deleted the picture.
"I don't see any pictures." He spoke with a bored tone.
I chuckled, watching Mina and Kirishima freak our at the fact that he had deleted the picture.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Soon enough, the last bell had rung and we were dismissed from classes.
The sky was a beautiful shade of orange with specks of pink and purple swirling around like a sea of colors. Small white clouds floated around, giving it a seemingly calmer atmosphere. I was saying goodbye to Mina after quickly explaining an assignment we had due the next day. As I walked toward the fence, I noticed a familiar ash blonde sitting against the wall.
"Bakugou? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on your way home?"
I asked, wondering why he was still here.
"I was waiting for you, you fucking moron." He growled. He quickly sat up quickly, already making his way outside.
"What? Why?" I questioned.
"What, you wanna get assaulted again?" He glanced at me with his scarlet orbs.
I simply smiled, feeling a weight I didn't know I was carrying lift off of my shoulders.
"Thanks, Bakugou."
