☾unavngivet - ☼
Mark had gotten used to waking up with Haechan next to him. At first, it was kind of weird, but now he almost couldn't imagine waking up alone. It's crazy how fast people can adapt to something so unfamiliar and unknown. Also a little scary.
Because what if it suddenly vanished...
"I'm sorry," Mark whispered and stared at Haechan. Not that the younger could hear him as he was sleeping. "I'm sorry for falling so easily," the raven-haired added and moved a little closer. Haechan's soft snores send a wave of tickles through his body, causing him to smile while his cheeks bloomed a beautiful shade of pink.
His eyes landed on the latter's rosy lips. That's one of the things Mark loves about waking up with a sleeping Haechan next to him. He can study and observe the younger's every little detail so closely without getting caught. And as Mark typically tended to wake up first, he had done exactly that so many times now, and if you were to count every second from the past week he had spent staring at Haechan while the latter was asleep, you would reach a pretty high number.
Mark had fallen head over heels for the mysterious boy he found on the road.
It even surprised him as he had never taken a liking to someone the way he so quickly started adoring Haechan. And it was weird. Because although they clearly met each other for the first time last week, Mark felt this strange connection, and now after everything Haechan had remembered, Mark knows there's much more to it.
His theory is that Haechan is a magical spirit or something along the line of that. It might sound crazy but he honestly had no idea what else it could be.

His thoughts were cut off by Haechan's body moving next to him. The younger shifted and a little groan left his lips as he stretched out his legs and arms.
"Good morning sunshine," Mark smiled.
Haechan opened his eyes tiredly. "Sunshine," he giggled but it faded into a small yawn. "If I'm sunshine, then you're moonlight," he whispered and sat up, looking down at Mark.
"Sounds good," Mark laughed and sat up in the bed as well.
The two shared a warm glance for a moment, both suddenly so mesmerized by each other. They both felt that special feeling, and they both knew they felt the same.
It was that weird connection again, and although Mark couldn't pinpoint what it was, he knew it was familiar. There was only one thing he could compare it with.
Familiarity.
"Come," Mark smiled. He took Haechan's hand and crawled out of the bed, the younger behind him. They got dressed and met Renjun and Jaemin in the hallway, so the four made their way downstairs together. Chenle was cooking eggs in the kitchen and Jaemin rushed over to help him by the sight, afraid the young boy would end up burning down the house.
Jisung eventually woke up and joined the five as well, but after hours, even after they finished eating, Jeno had still not shown up.
Haechan had remembered yesterday and he told them that Jeno needed some time alone, but Jaemin wasn't having it. He was worried and wanted to speak with the latter as he hadn't gotten a chance since they arrived.
Renjun noticed the look in Jaemin's eyes when the younger excused himself to the bathroom. He knew that wasn't where Jaemin was headed to, but he didn't do anything about it. Because he knows how much Jaemin loves Jeno, and it isn't fair for him to go between them as he knows Jaemin loves him just as much as well.

Jeno and he will just have to work it out somehow. They owe that to Jaemin.
So Renjun sat down onto the couch with a heavy heart, knowing very well what Jaemin was going to do, probably resulting in ruining their relationship. Not only between the two but between him and Jeno.

Jaemin knocked on the door twice.
At first, no one responded, but after some time a raspy voice sounded from the silent room.
"Go away, I don't want to talk." Jeno sounded hurt, and Jaemin got nervous and mad at the same time. He had never heard Jeno speak in such a tone and it broke his heart.
"It's me," he said. "Jaemin."
A shuffle was heard from the other side of the door and soon it opened, revealing a sight Jaemin never thought he would see.
"J-Jeno."
The older's eyes were red, his face consumed by stains and stains of tears. His hair fell down in spikes, and he still wore the clothes he had on yesterday.
Jaemin broke at the sight and he pulled Jeno closer, hugging him as tightly as he could. "I missed you a lot, Jeno," he whispered and the older gave in to the warm touch. "I'm so sorry for being a coward and not contacting you. I should've called or at least texted you, but I didn't."
Jeno rested his head on Jaemin's nape, closing his eyes and taking in the younger's scent. He had missed it so much. He had missed Jaemin so much. His arms tightened around the younger, too afraid to let go. "I didn't contact you either. You shouldn't apologize," he mumbled, voice cracking because of his previous sessions of crying.
Jaemin pulled away and looked at Jeno, his heart threatening to burst at the contentment of the latter's gaze. "Jeno," he sighed. "Please tell me what's wrong?"
"I-" the older gulped. "I can't," he stuttered and looked down.
Jaemin's frown grew bigger as he reached for Jeno's cheek, the older quickly pushing Jaemin's hand away in a panic. The two stood in silence for a moment, and once Jeno finally took the courage to look back at the younger, he couldn't hold his tears away anymore.
"I want to tell you something," he cried and Jaemin just stood there, smiling softly and nodding.
"Tell me," the younger said as he teared up himself.
Jeno took a deep breath. "I r-really-" he stopped as he felt the heat travel up his body, causing him to choke a little on his tears. "I really l-li."
Jaemin stepped closer, knowing what Jeno was trying to say. He had known Jeno felt some type of way towards him for a long time now, he was just waiting for the latter to be ready and take a step. "It's okay, Jeno. You can say it," Jaemin comforted and took Jeno's hand into his, intertwining their fingers and giving Jeno's hand a little squeeze.
"I really like you and Renjun."
