"So," Chenle came in with a whiteboard. "Let's write everything down that we know."
Haechan shifted on the couch.
"You found him naked on the road, right?" Chenle asked and turned to Mark who nodded, so he wrote it down on the board with a red marker.
Chenle then turned to Haechan. "Do you remember anything from before the road?"
The tanned boy pouted and pointed at his chest. "There was a bad feeling here," he mumbled.
Chenle wrote it down and looked up again. "What else do we know?" he asked his blonde curls bouncing by the quick movement.
"I've witnessed most things that have ever happened to Mark, but there are holes in my memories. There's still memories I haven't remembered. It's like there are two worlds. Mark's world and my own," Haechan explained as he thought about everything.
Renjun's eyes lit up. "I saw this in a movie once!" he exclaimed. "Parallel universes. Maybe there's another universe, and that's where you're from," he looked at Haechan. "You said it was like you were hovering over everything, right? In your memories of Mark's life?"
Haechan nodded. "It was like I was invincible. Mark couldn't see me and I couldn't touch him either, but I still saw and heard everything, but he didn't know I was next to him. I was just," he paused. "there."
Renjun nodded. "What if Haechan is from another world, where they are given a human to watch over."
"A fairy!" Chenle shrieked.
"Do you guys realize how crazy this sounds?" Jisung scoffed from the corner of the room. "Do you seriously believe in this nonsense? Fairies don't exit, neither does parallel universes," the youngest spoke, with his arms crossed. "How do we know if Haechan isn't just pretending to be whatever he is?"
A silence fell and Mark furrowed his eyebrows. "Are you serious Jisu-"
"Be quiet," Haechan's soft voice interrupted. He stood up and walked over to Jisung, whispering the following sentence so only the younger could hear it. "There's a thing you only ever told Mark," he moved closer to Jisung's ear. "And he promised to never tell anyone else about it," he said to prove he wasn't lying.
When Haechan moved back Jisung stood frozen. "Do you really know?" the younger asked quietly.

Haechan smiled. "I know," he said. His hands formed a little heart while he whispered. "Blonde curls."
Jisung's face turned red and he was quick to walk past the latter and over to the other's. "I believe it now," he told them and passed Haechan a look, telling him to keep what he just said a secret or else he was dead.
Haechan grinned and pretended to sip his mouth while passing Chenle a short look, wiggling his eyebrows at Jisung after.
Jisung choked. "By the way. What happened to Jaemin? He can't be shitting for this long."

"So," Jeno mumbled. "You like both me and Renjun? And Renjun's okay with that?"
Jaemin leaned his body up against Jeno's. They were currently sitting by the railing on the balcony, the exact same place Haechan and Jeno sat yesterday. "I actually don't know," the younger sighed. "He doesn't show that it bothers him, but deep down I have a feeling it does. Renjun is just too sweet. I don't think he'll ever be able to express if he's against it."
Jeno smiled lovingly. "He's the sweetest."
"He really is," Jaemin smiled back. "His smile always brings me so much joy. I could stare at it and all my worries would go away."
Jeno chuckled. "And the little mole on his hand."
"His little mole!" Jaemin shrieked. "Ahh, I love him so much."
"Me too," Jeno's smile faded into a line, his crescent eyes softening. "You're lucky Jaemin. Renjun loves you back."
Jaemin frowned and he sat up straight, positioning himself in front of Jeno. "He'll love you back one day too. I'm sure. Don't get sad, okay?"
"You can't force people to love you back, Jaemin," Jeno mumbled with a tint of sadness. That's just how the world works and there was nothing he could do to change that. "Renjun likes you, and I'll not expect him to like me on top of that."
"But-"
Jeno shushed him, placing his index finger onto Jaemin's soft lips. "It's okay," he promised and left Jaemin with an uneasy expression.
They caught each other in a long and deep stare, digging deep into each other's minds. Jaemin's stomach was rummaged by butterflies, something that happened when he was with Renjun as well. He was in love with two people who loved him back, and he wondered what he had done in his past life to gain this.

And the butterflies, they only flew faster by the second as Jeno's face was creeping closer to his own, their lips reaching out for each other after wanting to meet for so long-
"Jaemin! There you are!"
Mark's loud yell made them go back to reality and they slowly backed away from each other.
"Oh, hey Jeno," the raven-haired smiled and made his way over to the two. "Are you feeling better?"
Jeno nodded shyly, mentally cussing Mark for interrupting the moment.
"Well," Mark scratched his head. "We're done theorizing about Haechan for now, and I just wanted to tell you two that we'll light up a bonfire when the sun starts going down. Renjun and Chenle are going to the store and they want to know if you want to make marshmallow sandwiches or grill sausages?"
"Marshmallows!" Jaemin cheered and Jeno just couldn't keep his eyes from the cute smile the younger held.
☾ ☼
The weather was perfect for a bonfire. Not windy but still relaxingly chilly. Mark appeared on the porch with some firewood in his hands. He had taken it from the basement as Chenle and Jisung hadn't brought enough with them to keep the fire going for the upcoming hours.
The sight he saw as he stepped out from the house made his heart warm. Haechan sat crouched down in front of the fire, staring so fondly at it like he had seen the most beautiful thing in his life. His eyes glistened like the embers that rose into the air around him, his light brown hair seeming almost orange in the reflecting lights from the flames.
"He's one of the most adorable things I've seen," Jaemin's voice sounded as the younger walked out from the house with a tray filled with marshmallows and crackers on it.
Mark looked at him. "Who?"
"Your little sun," the younger chuckled and landed his eyes on Haechan who's now playing with the fire with Jeno, swaying a stick through the flames, then screaming and throwing it away once the flames caught on to it, resulting in Jeno laughing out loud.
Mark blushed at the nickname. "He's not my sun."
Jaemin smirks. "He told me how you called him sunshine this morning. I think he likes it."
That caused Mark to smile. "He is a burst of sunshine, but he isn't mine."
"You want him to be, though," Jaemin mumbled and walked down from the porch and over to the bonfire, leaving Mark to stand like the flustered mess he was at the moment.
He looked back on the others where he now met Haechan's burning stare, causing the younger to grin widely.
Renjun threw the match onto the wood and soon the orange flames appeared little by little until they stood tall stretching towards the sky that was beginning to darken.
Haechan took small and careful steps towards the fire, feeling as it created a familiar blanket of warmth around him.
He crouched down and took a deep breath, staring in awe into the depths of the orange waves.
It wasn't the first time he had seen fire. It appeared in a lot of his memories of Mark's life, but he hadn't seen it this close by. He was always at least to meters away from Mark, most of the times hovering in the air, in the memories.
"Be careful," someone warned him and pushed him a little away from the fire as he had gotten too close to it.
It was Jeno. The older helped him stand up and looked at him with a smile. "Look at this," he said and threw a stick into the bonfire.
Haechan watched as it burned up, turning black and disappearing from the long shape it had.
He gasped and picked up a stick from the ground himself, swaying it into the flames with an excited grin.
But he panicked and threw the stick away with a loud shriek as flames started traveling from the stick and up to his hand.
Jeno laughed out loud and Jisung looked up in confusion.
"I thought that was Chenle yelling for a second," he said and shrugged, going back to what he was doing, laying down the blankets they were going to sit on.
Jaemin came over to them with a tray of sweets, and Haechan followed where the tall boy came from, finding Mark standing stiff on the porch. The older met his gaze and Haechan grinned widely.
"Mark!"
