She opened her eyes to the burning light of the sun and sat up. She looked over to see Ubbe is gone and sighs as she stands. She changed into a tunic and trousers with boots. She left the tent as she noticed them coming back.
"Hello sister, we are fighting today." Ubbe said with a smile as he put a hand on her shoulder. "Let get your sword." He took his hand off her shoulder and made his way back to their tent and grabbed it from his side.
He kept the sword with him until she really needed to protect herself. "Here. Let's get." He said handing to her and walking out to join their brothers. She held it in her hand and felt a wave of sadness wash over her.
She quickly tried to get rid of it and rushed out of the tent as everyone was making their ways to the town. She had decided to stay with Ubbe and go with him. One Viking Shot a guard with an arrow and that's when it broke loose.
They started rushing up the walls her following after Ubbe and making sure to be careful and not fall. Once she reached the top a guard ran up to her but she simply put out her sword.
She took it out of him as he fell after having ran into it. She jumped down the stairs with a slight smile and slashing anyone in her way. She watched Ubbe open the doors and everyone came rushing in killing.
She smiled at the chaos but felt bad because her mother would not have wanted her to fight. "Grace!" She heard a voice yell behind her and she turned to see a man rushing towards her. He was soon hit by a flying axe thrown by Ubbe.

"Are you alright?" Ubbe asked quickly checking her over as she nodded and he pushed her ahead of him. She slashed more people who were in front of her as they made their way to Ivar and Hvitserk.
They made it to what she saw as a church and made their way through the crowd to the doors. Once opened she heard them praying until a women screamed and hell broke loose upon them.
She walked around them towards the front to look at the stuff they had. She heard a roar from behind her and looked to see Ivar.
She sighed as he pulled the cross from the guys neck and laughed. She moved from her spot to be closer and saw a blood drawn cross on his forehead. "No!" Ivar yelled as she looked around the room as the noise died down.
They started to make way from a horse to which they tied the priests legs to. She then frowned noticing a burning fire with spoon that had melted gold in it.
Ivar held the guys mouth open and another held him down. "Now you can kiss your cross." Ivar said with a sadistic smile and they poured it into his mouth. "Horse!" He then yelled and hit road off with the man attached.
She looked down at Ivar who was laughing with a smile on his face. She moved her hand to his shoulder and he looked towards her. He could see in her eyes that she was disappointed and his smile fell.
They sat up against the wall as Hvitserk washed the blood from his face. She she sat criss cross next to Ubbe with a hand on his arm as he seemed upset.
"To you, my brothers. And to our town of York." Ivar boasted holding up his cup. Ubbe lifted his. "To Grace And York. And to all our brothers, not forgetting Sigurd." She smiled at the mention and leaned her head onto the wall.

"To all of us!" Hvitserk finally said after the long silence and they all took a drink after saying skol. Ubbe soon got up and threw his cup at Ivars feet and Hvitserk went back to washing his face.
"Why must you be so annoying, Ivar. All we want is to remember our brother Sigurd." He looked to her with a slight frown. As he was about to speak.
"I don't want an apology. I want you to understand." She told him moving to look away from him but she still felt his eyes on her.

The Hunt
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you."The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad."With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there."With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.
