《Vikings, Mini Drabbles》Hvitserk: Watching love

You were well known to be eyes of this group, to see the details, to analyze the acts. You weren't much of a talker, not in general at least but you had something others would die for. Not the skills in a fight or the healing hands. You just knew you way around the small details, strategics was maybe a big word but it was easy to get something done with you around. You plucked the thieves and traitors right out, you could split the liars from the believers. Somebody was hating you for it ... As you were looking you felt him looking, eyes piercing through your skin with that greed all spread through it. You didn't knew what Ivar hated more about you, your fine eye for detail or the fact you were Hvitserk his girl. That was why you kept your distant, you saw enough and you didn't want to fall in those traps. From all people Ivar was the most complexed one and you hated it how little support you could give Hvitserk, knowing that Ivar would come right after you if you did.
The camp laid covered in a tight forest, yet the drops of rain found there way through the leaves, causing your hair to feel a little wet. You turned your head on the laughter that came out of a tent, being here wasn't one of your favorite things. Ever since Ivar and Hvitserk did things alone everything felt different. You could gaze for hours, until somebody snapped you out of that trance, it was just so difficult ... in ways. 'I will start to think you love the trees more.' His voice rose up from behind you and you smiled. 'Maybe I do, they aren't complaining that much.' You reacted, looking over your shoulder to that instant smile grewing on his face. 'Is that the reason why you hang around here?' He asked. You looked back in front of you, lifting your arm a little so he could sneak his arms around you, leaning his chin on your furry coat. 'No.' You simply answered. 'What is it then? You grew distant the moment we left.' He noticed. You couldn't resist a smile, glad he at least noticed that. 'Maybe I just can't handle the way Ivar is treating you.' You shook your head and turned your body a quarter, leaning against the tree. 'I would love to see you putting him in place.' He smiled. 'There wouldn't be much me left if I did, he is praying me from the moment I entered Kattegat months ago.' Hvitserk his face grew concerned, stern almost. You stroke your fingers along his cheekbone. 'That is why I'm here.' You finished. He swallowed, looking away while he thought about it. Hvitserk know deep down he wasn't a match for Ivar. 'It's lonely here without you.' 'Then you shouldn't go to bed that late and get up that early.' You winked, pulling that little concern from his face by leading it closer. 'I'm doing it to protect you, never forget that.' You whispered, kissing him that careful and tenderly that you knew he would be there when you woke up the next morning.

It was like a vague memory, a memory that got refreshed the moment you felt his lips travel up your shoulder blade, leaving you to mutter something still half asleep. 'Your wish is my command.' You felt him smile and you slowly turned to your back, meeting those tempted eyes. 'I love it when you leave me in command.' You played along. 'If it's about our love, yes, happily.' He smiled charming, lowering his face to kiss you goodmorning. You stroke his face, tangling your fingers through his hair while you took that kiss right into the depths. His body found it's way above you and you smothered a giggle as he playfully bite your neck. You squeezed your legs both sides of his body and he looked slowly up to you. 'Told you it would benefit our both.' You fingers scoured over his shoulder while you kept looking into those eyes you fell in love with. 'Stand by my side.' He said serious. You wanted to speak but he covered your mouth with his hands. 'I don't care what Ivar things or does, if he moves against you I will break him apart so much he can't crawl to begin with.' 'Don't.' You said against his hands. 'I will protect you, with everything I have if needed.' He promised, leaving your heart weak and vulnerable. 'Stand by my side.' He repeated, hopefully looking for an answer. You slowly nodded, giving him a soft smile. 'And when we are back home, please marry me.' He followed, making that soft smile extend. You bite your lip before you pulled his face closed and kissed him again, by the gods, why was he so tempting like this.

Mycology
Declan was but a teenager when he was invited to Gaia. It wasn't some popular VRMMO like the ones his friend keeps recommending, nor was it a 'game' in the traditional sense. Gaia was the stopgap to Indiri, a living breathing world, the final creation of a dead genius. Invited to this world by Eve, the overseer and an AI light-years greater than any that came before her, Declan was given a choice. To join or not to join? Well, why the hell not? Hello, this is a pretty basic VR story which I started writing out of boredom, don't expect anything too great here, it's a somewhat unique setting but with mostly slice of life comedy shenanigans with no real 'plot' since I can't reliably include stakes in a world where respawning is a thing. I'll try to upload at least once every other week but real life stuff may get in the way occasionally. **WARNING** Protagonist comes with an inbuilt wizard hat. Also, any mentions of chapter titles shall be met with falling rocks TPK. **ACTUAL WARNING** Story may or may not read like the fever dream of an eclectic sasquatch with internet connection. Do be warned, that this story has extremely slow pacing by design. Join the Discord!! https://discord.gg/p2gxqs4 Laugh at my empty Patreon!!

Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. A normal guy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Adding a cover made by someone I connected through wattpad: @DameCarnelian. Just a warning, it is not an accurate representation. The ship is not Raka's ship so avoid any confusion in that regard.

Cody is one of the 100M left alive due to a viral outbreak that caused the world to end. Humanity crumbled in a blink of an eye. In 2012 Japanese astronauts got sent into space to study the Moon more and in an act to find extraterrestrial life. In the process they found a weird looking shell in a meteor shaped hole, once the shell opened the world went to hell; millions were killed within a few days, then it went up to the billions within weeks; now the rest are left to defend theirselves. 5 years later Cody and his sister Aya were on their own, Aya got hit with a sickness and he went out on a supply run to get some medicine. When he came back he returned to a burning building. Now he seeks revenge for his sister who was ‘murdered’ by someone. Cody found a group of people, who he would eventually refer to his family, Cody and his group will stumble across conflict, love and death; not to mention Demis, they face worse than death. They are hunted for being a human/animal hybrid, they are also blamed for the apocalypse due to the growth of their population months prior to the apocalypse, which builds the hatred for demis. Only one question remains… who lives… and who dies? Will everyone get their happy ending?
8 184Gremlin's Greed
When the power of one's magic is directly linked to how strong they believe they are, fools are kings. Jasper, a foul mouthed gremlin with a penchant for eating rats, has a serious problem. His only friend, Ethan, is dying, and the only cure is an artifact with enough power to make a god. Joined by a young pirate woman who has never used magic before and a mysterious woman that seems to know their future before it happens, they set out to save Ethan's life. His chances of survival don't look good. With every day that goes by, Ethan grows weaker. They set off to the Ashen Lands, where even the self-proclaimed gods fear to tread. Luckily, Jasper isn't a god - he's a gremlin, and he's completely and utterly insane. He's going to save Ethan's life, no matter what it costs him. Minutes to Madness is a lighthearted fantasy novel speckled with comedy while retaining the serious undertone of a race against time. The entire novel can be read on my patreon or on Amazon. Alex has died again and due to a deal apparently made many deaths ago, he gets to be reincarnated into a new world with his memory intact. He is quickly transported to the tiny nowhere town of Oxbow while it is under attack by goblins. Alex must learn to navigate his way through a fantasy world if he is to survive, and navigate the vague gamelike mechanics if he wants to thrive. Is it the things he does that affects his character sheet, or his character sheet that affects the things he can do? This is a soft LitRPG Isekai. By that I mean, the MC is technically from our world, and RPG system lacks crunch. MC will never become over powered, and should fail... alot.
