"There, now we all know." Winter finishes. It stays silent for a couple of seconds. The sunlight pours through the windows, and shines onto the pajama party. "Maybe we should go get dressed?" Katie suggest. Everyone agrees and they head up to their rooms to freshen up.
"Come quickly my dear guest, a note has been left from the killer!" Thomas shouts up the stairs. The 8 remaining guest run down the steps, almost tripping, to hear what the note says. "Today we shall play a little game, the one that fails, shall be the one that wails. Archery, Running and Equestrian, too! Hopefully the one that loses shall not be you!" Thomas stares deeply into the note. "It seems we are going to have a small little Olympics! Clothes have been left on your bed!"
The guest come back, wearing blue gym shirts and shorts. Thomas is dresses as a referee, as well as the 2 maids. "Let's begin, follow me to the outdoor area!" Thomas waves his hand, signalling the guest to follow, they do, but cautiously. They walk along a stony path, not making a single sound. "We'll begin with archery!" Thomas explains. 8 targets are set up, each around 50 feet away from a wooden post holding 8 bows, and a sheath of 2 arrows per bow. They each knock an arrow, and prepare to fire.
Katie, Kallista, and Greg each get the bulls-eye. "Very good, you 3!" They smile as the others clap. "Shall we begin track?" The athletes make their way over to the track, and begin to take their places. "To the pond and back" Thomas explains. "GO!" Thomas shouts, and they each run, faster and faster until they reach the pond. Kallista, Katie, Greg, and Kyle reach the pond first. Then comes Sami, Dave, Winter and Alex. They all begin to run back and first to cross the finish line is Greg, then Kallista, Katie, Kyle. Last is Dave, Winter and Alex.
"Where's Sami?" Katie worries. "Sami?" "Sami?" "Sami!" The guest each shout her name, and hear nothing. They take the long walk back to the pond, and her dead body drops the ground, with an arrow to the head.
"As you can tell, Samantha has passed." Thomas stands in front of the guest, wearing a tuxedo-referee outfit mix, which just so happens to look ridiculous. "As usual, you will be able to probe the following three areas; The morgue, which in this case, shall be a pick-nick table with travel medical equipment. The last known whereabouts, in this case, the track in which she ran for her life." "Nice one." Kallista says sarcastically. "Finally, the crime scene, in which you may scrutinize the surrounding woods. Please, speak with who you wish, but remember, the killer is amongst you!" Thomas warns the remaining 7 guest.
Instead of the usual splitting into groups, they instead form one large group around an old, rustic pick-nick table.
"Hard to believe 5 of us are going to be dead by the end of this." Katie expresses, slightly sad. "Which means 1 of us is the killer" Dave continues "and 1 of us will be the lone survivor" Kyle finishes. The guest then begin to decide which areas they will like to conduct their investigation. "Well I would like the last known whereabouts." Kallista states, and no one argues. "I'll join her" Kyle chimes in, fearing Kallista's wrath. "I'm down with the crime scene, what about you Greg?" Winter asks her companion. "Sure, why not" Greg answers dully. "I'd like the morgue this time around" Alex exclaims. "Alright, and I'll join you" Dave responds. All eyes are on Katie, staring her down like a hawk. "Crime scene." she states. They then all exchange nervous glances, then proceed to face Thomas.

"Alrighty, ladies and gentlemen, shall we embark on this game the killer has arranged?" Thomas asks, not needing an answer. "Who here would like the last known whereabouts, where she dashed into death!" Kallista and Kyle both raise their hands, then escort themselves to the middle-end of the track. "And what about the mobile morgue?" Alex and Dave nod, and they then are motioned to go behind the equipment trailer. "Finally, the crime scene! Where you may search and find what you can, in the woods." Greg, Winter and Katie all rise and follow Thomas to the way back of the track, around the pond area.
LAST KNOWN WHEREABOUTS: Kallista and Kyle pace around the track, not noticing a thing. They observe the basics of the track. "So there's dirt on the ground, because we are outside." Kyle observes. "Thank you so much CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!" Kallista spits. He sends a glare of pure hatred towards her. "And then these branches must mark each lane. Which lane was hers?" "Ummm, I believe the 2nd to the left." Kallista answers, now more curious of what Kyle might discover.
Kyle continues to walk in Sami's lane, nearing the turn point with each step he takes. By the time he's about 10 yards from the end, he stops abruptly. "What is it?" Kallista questions. "Look" he motions her to join him. "Wow, how did you notice this, it's such a minute clue" Kallista gasps. remains of broken, small, clear fishing line are in Sami's running lane. "It must have triggered a trap." Kallista assumes. "You're probably right" Kyle agrees. "So, who are you going to tell?" Kallista questions. "No one."
MORGUE: Alex and Dave turns around the trailer, not saying a word. They see another wooden pick-nick table, much like the one they just left. On the top is Sami's body. Her body looks frail and cold, and both Alex and Dave seem to be depressed that the entertaining Sami has died. "Well it's not a fake arrow, I can tell you that." Dave states. A smaller shelf table holds some supplies that would be found at the morgue, but it is still a limited amount. Dave takes a small, grasping tool and pulls the arrow out of Sami's head.
"Dude, that's just gross. How do you do this as a doctor?" Alex gags. "I guess it's just natural for me." Dave answers, not really paying any attention. The arrow, sure enough, is covered in blood. Proof it's no fake weapon like previous murders. "So where did this come from? Clearly it didn't just fly out of nowhere?" Alex wonders. "Maybe it did" Dave answers, inspecting the wound on Sami's head. "It was clearly a close range shot, it goes very deep, and it seems to be accurately placed." Dave explains. "Doctor Dave, another case sovled!"
CRIME SCENE: Katie walks into the thick woods first, head held high. Winter and Greg walk over a bit more cautious of what could be near. Katie glances behind her, then looks foward again. "So, do you guys plan on keeping information from me? Because it wont work." Katie glares at Winter and Greg, who are taken back by her rude remark. She then walks over to the small pond, leaves rustling below her. "She's in it to win it" Winter whispers. "And she's willing to kill."
The sun is high in the sky, and it seems to be around noon. Greg and Winter continue to walk into the woods, the leaves on the trees bright green, the air smells of the outdoors. "What's that?" Winter gasps, and runs fowards. Greg joins in her pace to a faraway oak with some white object on it. As they jog, they notice they make more of a U-TURN towards the pond, closer to Katie. "A bow! This must be where the arrow came from!" Winter exclaims, but quietly, so Katie doesn't hear. "So we just need to find out how it fired." They step over a fallen tree, and head back to the clearing.

The guest split up into 2 pick-nick tables, one deep in the woods, another in the clearing. Kallista, Greg, Dave and Winter all sit in the woods. "So guys, how do you feel about today?" "Really nervous." "I think the morgue was really lacking in information." Dave explains. "The arrow was real, and lodged deep into her head, it was clearly a close shot range." "Which would explain why there was a bow on a tree, it seemed to be attached to the tree." Winter adds. "At the last known whereabouts, there were trip wires on Sami's lane." Kallista finishes. "Some sort of trip wire trap then." Greg assumes.
"Katie, what did you find at the crime scene?" Kyle questions. "Like nothing. There was a fallen tree, and that's about it." Katie sighs. "There were wires in Sami's running lane, maybe used to trigger some sort of reaction." Kyle adds in. "And the arrow was real for sure, had to fire from somewhere far away so no one noticed." Alex finishes his groups findings, and the guest rejoin Thomas in the clearing.
By this time its about 4pm, and the sun pours onto the ground, flooding the clearing. The guest swarm around Thomas, waiting for the words writen on the glimmering card in his hands.
"My dear guest, it seems we shall be doing some orienteering for today's riddle" Thomas booms. "Shall I explain how this shall work?" "Please do!" Dave booms back. "Alright, let us begin our riddle!"
"9 colors mark your trail
Stray from the path and you will fail
2 teams of 2 and 1 team of 3
One team will find victory
Each color will give you the clue
For what color is next; white, orange or blue?
Kallista and Kyle
Dave and Katie
Greg, Winter and Alex
Join as one
Begin with the orienteering fun!
~Your Killer"
Thomas finishes yet another eerie riddle, and holds in his left hand laminated maps, while in his right, compasses. "Please, take one per team." Thomas gestures. Kallista, Dave, and Alex each run up to take a compass and map, then join their now team mates and take off.
It's map of the large, grassy clearing, forest and the pond. Around the entire maps are colored dots; red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, pink, black, and white. There is also a note on the back of the medium sized card. Each team reads quietly to themselves, but in unison. "Red on black, your safe jack, red on ~~~~~~, you're a dead fellow." They orient their compasses, and take off towards the edge of the clearing, close to the path that leads to the mansion.
They all know which color it is, and sure enough, on a dragon gargoyle statue, is a yellow sun. Hanging from the gargoyle's wide, marble jaws, are rope with a small scroll tied at the bottom. Each of the teams take one and uncurl the paper. "It's black and white and ~~~ all over" they all read aloud, looking over their team mates shoulder. Kallista and Kyle find the red dot and point to it on the map, without making a sound. It's marked about where the trailer is, so they quickly orient the map, and run back to the clearing. Greg, Winter and Alex do the same and run again. Katie and Dave don't have the same luck, as they find the black dot, and chase off to the edge of the woods. Tina, the maid, dressed in hideous cow hide, stands in their path, and points back in their previous location, shaking her head. They must go back
Kyle, Kallista, Greg, Winter and Alex all reach the trailer. A red fire symbol has been drilled into the trailer, with notes hanging from it like the previous one. The stillness in the air is deadly. The wind has stopped, and no one breathes as the words are read off of the paper. "Be Lucky Unite Empires." Everyone reads the phrase over and over, pondering what it could mean. By this time, Dave and Katie have finally arrived at the trailer, panting.
Kallista realizes it first. "Each of the 4 words is in capital letters, and each capital letter spells out B.L.U.E" Kallista whispers deep into her partners ear. They find the blue dot, which seems to be located on the edge of the clearing, and sprint again. Dave and Katie have also figured this out, and are slow on their heals. Greg, Winter and Alex soon figure this out, but have lost time.
They reach the edge of the clearing, and pinned up on a large pine, is a blue crescent symbol, with more notes. "It never ends!" Greg cries. "Let's do this." Kyle spits. "Look up" are the 2 words written on the note. "Gee, thanks SO much killer!" Katie exclaims. They then all strain their necks upward towards the sky. "The sky is aqua?" Katie thinks out loud. "Let's go with that" Dave agrees, and they take off a short difference, only to be turned back. "It's partly cloudy, but the clouds are grey, not white." Kallista ponders. "Wait, we're looking to far up! It's the tree! The tree is green!" Alex shouts, and Kallista and Kyle look up. "Crap." Winter slaps Alex behind the head. Quickly orienting their maps, they head off deeper into the woods.
"Up! Clouds are white!" "That HAS to be it!" Katie and Dave agree, and run from the woods into the middle of the clearing. Gina stands there, in another odd Holstein design, shoeing them away. "Damn" Katie stomps. Meanwhile, Greg, Winter and Alex have finally reached the green marker, a green tree shape. This time, the papers litter the ground. Kyle and Kallista arrive soon after them. "The coat of the sky" they all read with wonder in their voice. "Clouds are white, and they coat the sky!" Kyle explains to Kallista, she nods in agreement, and take off to the middle of the clearing, about a mile run. Greg, Winter and Alex figure this out, and also start running. "Wait, where's the map?" Alex questions between breaths. "SHIT! I fucking left it at the last one!" Greg complains. "I'll run back quickly!" Alex says. They hold their position.
Dave and Katie have finally reached the green marker, just as Alex does to retrieve his teams map. They read out the riddle, and head back to the black marker towards the edge of the woods near the mansion. Tina still stands there. "I hate this SO FREAKIN' MUCH!" Katie screams, scaring birds away. Kallista and Kyle have now reached the white marker, a cloud shape, and read the next direction. "The panther has solved the case again." "This one makes no sense!" Kallista exclaims. Now the other 3 groups have reached the marker, and begin to read. "Interesting" Greg says. "Pink panther!" Winter whispers to Greg and Alex. They take off towards the other edge, near the end of the property. "Well, panthers are black, so lets head there!" Kyle shouts. They run to the opposite edge, followed by Dave and Katie. Tina still stands there, shaking her head with her lips in a crude smile. "Ugh!" Dave expresses, and they run back.
Greg, Winter and Alex have reached the pink one, in the shape of a panther. "More notes. It NEVER ends!" Winter sighs. "I'm a barbie girl! In a barbie world!" Winter sings. "Now this makes no sense!" Greg swings his hands up. "Yes it does, the group AQUA sings that song! Aqua is the next color!" Winter cheers. "I'm trusting you" Alex sighs, and they take off, back into the thick pines. Kallista and Kyle have reached the area, and head in the same direction as the others, but are many steps behind. Katie and Dave reach the area and read the note, Dave rips it up, and Katie slumps onto the ground.
They reach the aqua marker, which is in shape of a wave. "Good thinking, barbie!" Alex pats Winter on the back, and she sticks her tongue out at him. Kallista and Kyle read the next note, ignoring the celebration of the other 3. "Sami's favorite color." "Sunset orange!" Everyone in the area joins in. They all use their compasses and maps, then take off towards the pond. Dave and Katie still ponder at the girly lyrics.
"The true color of death" Greg and Kallista each read the notes to their teams. The 5 each stare at eachother, then take off running for the crime scene area, which is where the black marker should be located. Kallista and Kyle sprint ahead, and the black marker is a tall pillar by a couple of lone standing trees. Kallista and Kyle come into range and make out the edge of the pond with the forest. The bell rings as Kyle and Kallista can just make out what is in the area. The rest of the guest must now return the pick-nick tables. They continue to run until it seems as something snags on their legs. "Ow, something stung me!" Kallista shouts. "Look down!" Kyle exclaims. The same fishing line from the last known whereabouts has been cut from their fast running.
An elaborate domino effect causing the fishing line to cut and twist around trees and other objects. They watch, faces in awe as the line slithers around until it reaches the bow, and an arrow flies out, hitting the direct spot where Sami was found dead. Her blood stains still on the leaves.
"Alright, my dear guest, as the sun sets, and another day closes, there shall sadly be no period of time for you to share information. You must go into the trailer for state your case with what you have, what you know, and what you think. I wish you all the best of luck." Thomas gestures the guest one by one to enter through the back of the supply trailer, barely noticeable in the dark night. They each prepare what they can for their struggle for survival.
GUESSES:
Alex believes Kallista is the killer
Dave suggest Winter is the killer
Greg suspects Kallista to be the killer
Kallista thinks Winter is the killer
Katie conceives Dave to be the killer
Kyle thinks Winter is the killer
Winter believes Greg is the killer
The sun has set, and shimmering stars stain the ebony sky. The guest each sit on log benches, toasting hot-dogs on a stick. The fire in front of them flickers in the moonlight. Each person exchanges nervous glances at each other, no information of the riddle was able to be shared. "I just wanted to wish everyone luck, I feel I did my best, and I'm sorry to everyone." Katie says, eyes watering.
"I'm sorry to break up, our little campfire, but it seems one of you has found the way right into the killers crime! Congratulations... Kallista!" Everyone congratulates her, as they turn their attention back to Thomas.
"Sami was confident Greg would be the one to die today. Too confident. I had to extinguish her confidence with an arrow to the head. She took of in the race with a dash. However when the sprint was almost over, she felt something snag at her legs, which made her fall by the pond. This then just so happen to set of a chain reaction, with an arrow to zoom out of the bow, hitting her square in the head! Fast and furious! ~Your Killer!"
Thomas finishes yet another deadly tale and hands out the labeled cards. "Miss Kallista, as you know, you are already safe, however, the fate of you 6 sits in these cards. Gregory, please start us off!"
He shivers as a cold wind picks up. A sign of impending doom. However not for today, as he shows his spared card around the campfire. "Good job." Winter nods to him. "Kyle, open your card." Kyle flips up the envelope, looks at it for a long time, then shows everyone. SPARED. "Katie, please." She wipes tears from her cheaks, and opens the luxurious envelope. The deadly liquid is splattered on the card, reading scared. "I knew it" Katie swallows hard. She hands her head low in sadness. "Next up, Alex." "Here we go." He shows his spared card to everyone.
Winter breathes heavily. "Can I go last?" She pleads. "Of course you may! Dave, please open your card." Thomas nods. He slowly pulls the card out of the envelope, and makes a fake dramatic face. SCARED. "Wow. Oh my! Didn't see that coming! Lord oh lord!" He jokes around, shoving the card in everyone's face. "No need to blame us, we wouldv'e shared information." Kallista retorts. "What ever." Dave sulks. "Winter, finish us off" Thomas holds his hand out, gesturing for her to open her card. Her knee wobbles, and tears slowly drip from her face. SPARED.
