You were one of the best fighters this company had known. You moved swiftly and silently as you glided with every swing. You didn't tell anyone why you could do such things, of course. You were considered an angel. You had an entirely different name by your people. By your will you could keep your thirty foot wings hidden. No one in this company knew a thing and you demanded it stay that way.
Also upon being with the company had had become completely smitten with a particular dwarf prince. Fili was always there for you and you knew he cared deeply for you. You were afraid and happy at the thought of becoming more than just friends. You were beautiful, kind, and loving in his eyes. Deep within your heart you knew that you loved him.
"Y/n keep up! We have a ways to go yet," Thorin told you. You picked up the pace and walked beside Fili.
"Don't pay too much mind to him, he old," Fili said which made you laugh while you walked.
"You shouldn't talk about him like that Fili, he is your king after all," you told him.
"I suppose, but a prince can do as he chooses," he said boldly.
"And a king may tell his nephews what to do if he chooses," you both heard Thorin cut in and you laughed. Fili's face grew a bit red.
All of the sudden an Orc pack came from the woods on the right. They charged the company and Thorin have ordered to get ready to fight. You pulled your weapon from its sheath.

"Let them come! We can fight them!" You said and you could. Your number outweighed theirs. The company charged them and met the pack head on. The orcs began to die within minutes. There was only one left and he had his bow raised at Fili. Fili was unaware and you ran to him.
"FILI!" You shouted. You saw the arrow fly through the air and time slowed as Fili looked to where the arrow was coming. You wrapped your arms around Fili and having no other choice you let you wings spring free. You shielded Fili with them and your body. You felt the arrow plink off of your powerful wings. Your wings immensely strong. They were stronger than the finest armor, so this arrow was no matched.
You heard an arrow fly (presumably from Kili) at the orc archer. The Orc lie dead as you began to pull back from the injury free Fili. You snow-white wings unraveled and folded back behind you. They were so large that they dragged on the ground behind you. The dwarves stared at you in awe and Fili had tears in his eyes.
"You never told us about that lass," said Bofur. You looked at the ground.
"I was afraid you would kick me out of the company," you said ashamedly.
"Why would we do such a thing like that?" Thorin asked. You raised a confused eye brow.
"Look at me! I have wings! I knew people would say I was an angel, when I feel like a monster," tears began to form in your eyes. Fili took you by the chin gently.
"You are not a monster y/n. You just saved my life, none of us including myself would want you any other way. Besides, I've always considered you an angel, the wings are just a plus," he wiped your tears. You hugged him and he returned it. You pulled back and sucked up your tears. You stretched you long and bright white wings out. Fili and Bofur on your left and right stroked the feathers.

"It's quite soft," Bofur laughed and other went to touch you wings. You felt Fili trace where they where connected in your back.
"Do they ever hurt?" He asked you.
"No, I usually don't feel them," you answered.
"The questions is, can you fly?" Thorin asked mystified. You smirked.
"Watch and learn boys," you crouched to the ground and with a quick downward motion of your wings you sailed into the air. You kept going and going until you reached the clouds. You did a few swirls and flips to show off. Now, you dived towards the ground in a quick spin. You kept on plummeting toward the ground and built up a bunch of wind behind you. The company was for sure that you'd run into them but you let your wings stretch out and you let the powerful wind blow the dwarves over on their backs. You landed swiftly on your feet.
"Does that answer your question?" You asked Thorin.
"Most definitely," he said as he tried to get up. "Fili, you must wed her once we get back to Erebor," you were pleased that at least Thorin approved of you.
"I don't know if it'll be right away Uncle!" He exclaimed and walked up to you," we aren't even courting yet, just smitten," Fili took your hand," but now's as good a time as any and...y/n, would you make me beyond happy by courting me? You are kind and gentle, and loving. I couldn't imagine a day without you. Your wings do not matter to me, they just add to your breath taking beauty. You make my heart soar and my soul take flight,"Fili said the corny joke. You giggled.
"I'd be happy to let you court me Fili," and you kissed him sweetly on the lips. The dwarves around erupted in a fit of cheers and applause.

8 86What We Do to Survive

Unfortunately, life and a cruel world had other plans for him. Years later, he joins Avalon Academy, the greatest school of mages in the known world. Unfortunately, Avalon is better known for its incredible lethality and the cutthroat attitude it promotes among its students. The Academy's graduates number among the strongest mages in the world, but only a rare few live long enough to join that illustrious number. Updates every Mon/Fri and some Wednesdays. Absolutely horrible, screwed up things can and will happen, do not read if you are uncomfortable with that sort of content. On a similar note, please be advised that the story contains explicit content. If you do not want to read that sort of thing, then this story is not for you.
8 1690The Exodus Project
This is the original version of Origin before I rewrote it. It's much more simpler, some names and personalities are a little different. THere's nowhere near as much back story or character development/interaction. But the story is essentially at the end of book one. I wrote this 15 odd years ago, and with a bit of polish it doesn't look too bad. The story like Origin is about a group of college students who find a ship that is the last remnant of an ancient human space faring civilisation, they fix her up and go back into space. Along they way they'll meet alot of aliens, religious fundamentalists and conmen.
