Ashaj was silently and peacefully watching cricket match when his clothes out of nowhere fall on him.

"Yeh... Yeh Kya Hai?" He removed his shirt away from his eyes and looked at the person who threw his clothes on him

(What... What is this?)

"Apke kapde hain." Minahil informed him

(Your clothes.)

"Woh toh main bhi dekh sakta hoon, lekin inhe toh iron hoke cupboard mein hona chahiye." He picked his shirt and pants

(That I can see but they should be in cupboard, well ironed.)

"Aaj maid nahi aayi, aur mere pass aur bhi bohot kaam hai so don't have any expectations from me that I'll iron your clothes. Do it yourself." Minahil sweetly smiled at him and then turned to leave

(Today maid didn't came, and I have other work to do.)

"Aur tumhara mohtaj Hoon bhi nahi main... Lekin kapde tum tameezdaro ki tarah bhi de sakti thi."

(I'm not dependent on you.... But you could have gave them nicely to me.)

"Chot lag gayi Kya apko? Kapde hi Hain koi bullet nahi."

(Did you got injured? It's only clothes not bullet.)

"Kaha tumse tameez ki umeed Kar raha Hoon. Shaadi se leke ab Tak majal Hai Jo Kabhi koi sukoon Diya Hai tumne."

(How foolish I am to expect respect from you. After marriage there isn't one day when you gave me peace.)

"Woh bade buzurg kehte haina you get what you give..."

(Our elders has said.)

Eighteen years old Areesha held her head when she heard her parents bricking from her room. Here she has locked herself in her room since morning and her parents doesn't even care, they are busy in their bricking

The reason she locked herself in her room is also their bricking

When she had enough, she exit her room and went to them. While fighting with each other they have moved from their room to kitchen. Where Minahil was now preparing for dinner and Ashaj was taunting her and she was replying him

"Baaz nahi ayen aap log? Thakkte nahi hai Aap log? Har waqt itna argument late kaha se Hain?" Crossing her arms over her chest, Areesha asked

(You two won't stop, right? Don't you two get tired? How can on argue so much?)

"Areesha, yeh.." both Ashaj and Minahil started saying while pointing at each other. But stopped when heard other voice and looked at each other

(Areesha, he..)

(Areesha, she..)

"Kuch toh sharam kariye, thori si hi Kar lijiye, main subah se apne kamre mein locked Hoon woh bhi aap dono ke jhagre se tang hoke lekin aap dono abhi bhi jhagra hi Kar rahe Hain."

(Have some shame, I have locked myself in my room since morning that too because of you two arguments, and you two are still arguing?)

"Main apne dosto ko Ghar nahi bulati kyuki aap dono unke samne bhi jhagarne lagte Hain. Dosto ko choriye aap dono to parents teacher meeting mein Meri teacher ke samne bhi jhagra karne lagte Hain." Areesha was bursting her anger out. It was all because of the function that Ashaj and Minahil attend yesterday at Areesha's college

(I don't invite my friends at home because of you two, forget my friends, you two started arguing in front of my teacher?)

The meeting was going on very well until one of Areesha's teacher said that Areesha is very mischievous and sometimes skips classes, this break the argument between Ashaj and Minahil that from whom Areesha inherited her this habit. They forget that they are in front of Areesha's teacher

"Lekin usme to tumhare mamma ki galti thi, function toh achha hi ja raha tha..."

(That was because of your mamma.. function was going very well but...)

"Meri galti thi? Aap to jaise bohot achhe Hain..."

(My fault? Like you are very saint..)

"Kuch toh khayal Kar liye aap dono,.... Agar yahi chakta raha na toh... Toh na main Khala ke yaha chali jaungi." Areesha gave them warning tpand left the kitchen

(At least think about me... If this will won't stop so... So I'll go to khala's house.)

"Aaj Kal ke bacche... Zara sa bhi ehtraam nahi Hai parents ka." Ashaj looked at the way from where Areesha left then at Minahil

(Today's kids... Doesn't have respect for parents.)

"Meri toh himmat nahi hoti thi ki papa ke agey kuch bolu, Ammi ek baar ghoorti this aur main khamosh hojata Tha.... Tum par gayi Hai bilkul." Minahil was agreeing with him until he put the blame on her

(I never spoke in front of my father.... And Ammi needed to do was glare at me I started behaving.... Areesha is just like you.)

"Mujh par gayi Hai? Aur ussey itna bigada kisne? Bachpan se leke aaj Tak Kabhi data Hai ussey? Apki abbu ke agey awaz isliye nahi nikalti tho kyuki Abbu strict the."

(She is like me? And who have spoiled her? Have every scolded her? You never spoke a word in front of Abbu because he was strict.)

"Aap agar thora sa bhi strict hote toh itni himmat uski kabhi na hoti."

(If you would have little strict to her then she wouldn't have misbehaved.)

"Tum kyu nahi ho jati strict?"

(Why don't you get strict?)

"Kardi na riwayeti mardo jaisi baatei'n, Bachha bigde toh maa ki galti, yeh nahi sochte ki baap ke bhi kuch farz hote Hain."

(Now you are talking like typically Indian husband, if a kid is misbehaving then it's Mother's fault, not father's.)

"I'm seriously fed of these two." Areesha complained on phone to her cousin cum best friend- Shahzain

"Zani, main waqai mein tang achuki Hoon in dono se. Tumhara yaha ka environment kitna peaceful aur loving Hai, mummy aur papa kitna pyaar karte Hain ek dusre se aur tumse aur Fiza appi se." Areesha smiled as she thought of her uncle Farhan and Aunt Humaima

(I have enough of these two. The environment in your house is so peaceful and loving. Your parents loved each other so much.)

"Aur ek mere mamma papa Hain..." but as soon as her parents name came on her tongue the smile wiped away. That made Shahzain smiled as he can imagine her nose cringing up right now

(And my parents...)

"Offo, bas Meri sherni. Kitna gussa Hai? Chachu aur Chachi ek dusre se aur tumse bohot pyaar karte Hain. Sabka apna-aona andaz hota Hai pyaar show karne ka." He didn't interrupted her in the half an hour conversation

(Enough, my lioness. How much anger you have? Chachu and Chachi love each other and you too. Everyone have their own way of showing love.)

"Unke jhagre se unka pyaar dikhta Hai. Ek din bhi ek dusre se durr hote Hain toh dekha nahi dono ka haal?"

(You can see their love through their bricking, anyone could see how much restless they became when they are away from each other even for one day.)

"Jhagra konsa sa andaaz hota Hai pyaar show karne ka?" Areesha asked

(Who show their love through bricking?)

"Woh dono to bachpan se hi aise jhagarte Hain, mummy batati Hain."

(Mummy has told us many times that they are like this from childhood.)

"Ab toh budhe ho rahe Hain. Ab toh sudhar Jaye." Shahzain laughed really hard on her words. His laugh brought smile to her face also when she realized what she said

(But now they are old, they should change this habit now.)

"Suno, yeh sab tum jaan bhoojke karti hona?" Ashaj took one spoon of rice to his mouth, as soon as he got the taste he looked at Minahil

(Listen, you do this all intentionally, right?)

"Ab Kya hogaya Hai?" Minahil was still setting up the table but Ashaj has started the dinner

(What happened now?)

"Jab Ghar mein koi mehman aye hue hote Hain toh bohot achha Khan banati ho.... Aur aise normally... Yeh kachha pulao..." Putting his hand on table, he asked

(When there are guests at home then you cook really delicious food and on normal days.... This half cooked rice..)

"Biryani Hai yeh..."

(It's biryani...)

"Achha? Mujhe toh kisi bhi angle se yeh biryani nahi lag rahi Hai." He picked his plate which was full of biryani and took a great look of it

(Really? This doesn't look like biryani to me.)

"Haan toh... Khana banate waqt mere sar par khade ho jate hain... Main khana banau ya apko jhelu? Ek time pe ek hi kaam hota Hai mujhse." Minahil put the casserole angrily on table and crossed her arm over her chest

(You'll get these types of food if you keep bothering me when I'm cooking.)

Ashaj opened his mouth to say something but then they both saw Areesha coming to dinning room. Areesha only glance at them and went to kitchen

"Reeshu, aao dinner Kar lo.... Dekho tumhari mamma ne kitni... Kitni achhi biryani banai Hai.. tumhari favorite haina.." Ashaj went after Areesha in kitchen. when he compliment Minahil his face was showing distress which Areesha couldn't see because she taking something from fridge. But Minahil did when she also came after him in kitchen to invite Areesha for dinner

(Come have dinner, you mother has made really... Really delicious biryani.)

"Only because I'm hungry... Warna I'm still angry at you two." Areesha couldn't hold herself after hearing biryani, she left the kitchen and entered dinning room. Minahil was still standing on doorway and when Ashaj reached her she smacked his arm

(Otherwise.)

Areesha didn't payed any attention to her parents and got busy in dinner, Ashaj and Minahil also started eating when Minahil decided to break the silence

"Reeshu! I have thought about what you said..."

"We have thought about what you said..." Minahil started talking when Ashaj interrupted her.

"And what we have thought?" Ashaj didn't thought anything, when Areesha left the kitchen earlier, Ashaj also got busy in his laptop, and Minahil was in kitchen preparing for dinner. They both didn't talked to each other and now whatever Minahil was about to say Ashaj just joined his name in it too. Because he know Minahil must have got the solution to calm Areesha's anger down. Putting her chin on her palm Minahil looked at Ashaj

"We have thought that.... Minahil, tell Areesha what we have thought."

"Now why are you guys keeping me in suspense?" Areesha irritatedly asked

"We.. have thought.." Minahil empathize we while looking at Ashaj then turned to her daughter

"We won't fought with each other anymore."

"Really?" Both father and daughter looked surprised and shocked

"I mean.. main toh nahi karungi... Lekin inse bhi kaho ki yeh mujhe be-wajah pareshaan nahi karenge.." Minahil point at Ashaj

(I won't pick any argument with your father.. but tell him to stop bothering me.)

"Main tumhe kab pareshaan karta Hoon? Tumhi mujhe karti ho..."

(When did I bothered you? You bother me...)

"Areesha!"

"Papa!" Areesha warned her father

"Okay, fine! I won't pick useless argument with your mother. But tell her to respect me."

"When did I disrespect you.."

"Areesha!"

"Mamma!"

"Lekin inse bhi kaho ki office ka kaam Ghar par nahi karenge.."

(But tell him that he won't do office work at home...)

"Toh tumhare mayeke Jake karu?..."

(Should I do it at your parents house?)

"Areesha!"

"Papa!" Areesha whined

"Aur issey bolo ki mujhpe shaq nahi karegi... Shaadi ke 20 saal pure hone Hai aur yeh mujhpe abhi bhi Shaq karti Hai."

(And tell her to stop doubting me. We are married for almost twenty years and she still doubt me.)

"Iss budhape mein itna taiyyar hoke office jayenge toh Shaq toh hoga na."

(If he will leave for office all dressed up then anyone would doubt him.#

"Areesha!"

"Enough! Kya main aap dono ki lawyer Hoon? Pehle na aap dono ek dusre ke sath baith ke decide Kar lijiye Kya Karna Hai Kya nahi. Phir mujhe bataiyega." Areesha angrily got up from her chair and said. Picking her plate she left for her room

(Am I a lawyer? First you two decide what you want other to do or what not. Then tell me.)

"Phirse dila diya na gussa Areesha ko." Both Ashaj and Minahil looked at each other and said at the same time

(You have again made her angry.)

Nothing has changed between them in all these years, it is just that old age has made affect on their appearance otherwise they are still same

Ashaj still loves to irritate her and Minahil couldn't control her irritation. Areesha was fed of those two. She really wanted a normal parents

Don't get her wrong, she really loves her parents alot but which parents argue that much? That too in front of literally anyone?

She just wanted them to have normal marriage life. Unknown to her that her father is the one who doesn't like Minahil's silence. Who loves it when Minahil argue with him.

Foolish girl doesn't know you can patch up the relation which is broke. Not the one where relation has built on argument.

Every relationship have their unique flaw, no relationship is perfect. And comparing one relation to other is stupidity. That Areesha will learn in time
