In the middle of the night when he turned other side and put his hand forward he didn't felt the body of his wife beside him, he tried to find her with his hand without opening his eyes but when didn't succeed, he opened his eyes and saw Minahil's side of bed empty,
Setting up he saw her sleeping on the couch
"Minahil! Minahil!" He shake her shoulder to wake her up
"Hmm!" She put bedsheet over her face and mumbled
"Utho! Yaha kyu so rahi ho?"
(Wake up! Why are you sleeping here?)
"Ashaj I'm sleeping!"
"Woh toh dikh raha Hai par yaha kyu? Chalo bed pe,"
(That I can see but why here? Let's go to bed,)
"Go away!" She turned to other side, Ashaj scratched his head then having no option he picked Minahil in his arms
"Aah.... Ashaj!" All her sleep vanished when she felt herself floating, opening her eyes she saw Ashaj taking her to bed
He made her lay on the bed
"Kya badtameezi hai yeh?" As all her sleep already flew away she got up
(What non sense it is?)
"Aur tumne Jo badtameezi ki uska Kya? Waha kyu so rahi thi?" He went to his side of the bed
(And the non sense you are doing? Why were you sleeping there?)
"Well I don't know? mere khayal se mere husband ne pura duvet apni side leliye aur mere liye kuch nahi chora that's why," she shrugged her shoulder
(I think my husband didn't left any duvet for me that's why,)
"Duvet hi liya Tha, bed to pura khali tha, bedsheet leke sofe pe ja sakti ho lekin yaha nahi?" Throwing duvet on both of them he pulled Minahil to himself
(You can take bedsheet and went to sofa but can't sleep here,)
"Dekho Minahil jhagra apni jagah lekin dubara tum Yun aise sofe pe nahi sogi, tum mere pass hi raha karo," snuggling closer to her he mumbled the last part
(Doesn't matter how much we fight, you won't ever again sleep on sofa. Always be my side,)
Pouring tea in two cups she made her way back of the house where Ashaj was
But her smile quickly turned upside down when she saw Alfiya was also seated there and both Ashaj and her were talking and laughing

Ashaj's laugh also stopped when he saw Minahil glaring at them
"Oh hey Minahil!........Chalo ab main chalti hoon," Alfiya's eyes also fall on her, Minahil came to them and placed the tray on table and sat beside Ashaj holding his arm
(I should leave now,)
"Chai peelo," Ashaj said
(Have tea,)
"Nahi theek hai, you guys enjoy," as soon as Alfiya left Minahil also left his arm
(No it's fine!)
"Chai peelo! Apne hisse ki chai dene wale the aap?" Minahil mimicked him
(Have tea! Where you going to give her your tea?)
"Arey yeh do cup thi toh maine socha..... I mean as a cousin farz hai mera," Ashaj point at two cup on the tray and started saying but when Minahil glare at him he quickly finished his sentence
(I saw the two cups and thought........ I mean as a cousin it's my responsibility,)
"Cousin ke hi farz nibhate rahiye, shohar ke farz toh yaad rehte nahi," taunting him she picked a cup of tea and turned to other side
(You remember every responsibility of cousin but not husband's,)
"Biwi achhi hoti to shohar ke farz yaad bhi hote," he mumbled loudly for her to hear
(If I've got a good wife, I would have remembered husband's responsibility,)
"Haan! Alfiya se shaadi hoti tab yaad hote," angrily turning to him she said
(Yeah! If you had got married to Alfiya then you would have remembered,)
"Yaar ab woh kaha se agai?" He helplessly asked
(Where did she came from?)
Alfiya has became the main point of their argument since they have came here
"Achha choro....Kahi bahar chale?" Not wanting to argue more Ashaj asked
(Okay drop it!.... Let's go outside,)
"Yaha toh ghoomne ke liye 7 wonders bane hue hain... Haan chaliye kahi bahar chalte hain," sarcastically she said
(Yes there is seven wonders to see.... Let's go outside,)
"Ey, mere gaov ko kuch mat bolna, tumhe Kya pata yaha kya-kya Hai dekhne ke liye,"
(Ey, don't say anything to my village, you don't know what's there to see,)
"Dekh lenge phir,"
(Then I'll see,)

"Ashaj!" Minahil whined
"Mujhse ab nahi Chala jayega," she said as if they had walked miles but in reality only five minutes walk they have done

(I can't walk anymore,)
"Minahil! bas thori Durr aur, pass hi mein bohot achha dhaba Hai, pata Hai jab hum log chote the tab Chachu hum sare cousins ko ek bike pe baitha ke waha le jate the," Minahil tried to picture all his cousins on single bike, totally forgetting that he is referring to his childhood when all cousins were little
But she was imagine the adult version of his cousins, when she got the picture in her mind her nose cringe and she shook her head negatively
"Par hum chal ke kyu ja rahe Hain?" She again complained
(Why are we going by foot?)
"Car ya bike se itna maza kaise ata,. Apne aas pass ka nazara toh dekho," Ashaj dramatically said, Minahil looked around, true it was beautiful view
(You wouldn't have enjoyed on car or bike,... Look around your surrounding,)
The sun was setting down but the moon already hunged high
The sky was slowly but beautifully enveloping darkness making the clouds appeared redish,
The lake's water was reflecting the setting sun,
A smile made its way on Minahil's face, making Ashaj forget all the beautiful things surrounding them but his wife
"Kya? Ab yahi khade rahenge Kya?" Minahil hide her smile and asked Ashaj
(What? Are we gonna stand here?)
"Tum hi toh khadi ho, Chalo!" he grab her hand and they started walking again
(You are the one standing, come on!)
That dhaba was exactly as Ashaj spoke of it, they both enjoyed alot, the food, the environment and alone time with each other
Since they got married the only alone time they get is when they come to their room for sleep, since both were tired from day's event they didn't even get chance to talk properly or end up bricking with each other
While returning home they stopped by the lake
Sitting near it Minahil was happily looking at the reflection of the moon in water
Ashaj slowly put his hand on her shoulder and she placed her head on his chest, both didn't said anything afraid the spell of the night will break
But the spell got broke by another sound, the sound of Ashaj's phone
"Yeh apko kyu phone Kar rahi Hai?" Ashaj took his phone out from his pocket and seeing Alfiya's name flashing on screen Minahil asked
(Why is she calling you?)
"Mujhe Kya pata!" He said as he was about to receive the call
(I don't know,)
"Koi zaroorat nahi Hai iska phone uthane ki," when their day was so beautiful he didn't wanted to end it with fight so he listened to her and didn't receive Alfiya's call
(No need to receive her call,)
Putting his phone on silent mode Ashaj again placed it in his pocket
"Shayad koi important kaam ho," after sometime he said
(Maybe she had some important work,)
Minahil raised her head to see him
"Theek Hai! dekh lijiye," she played with his shirt button and mumbled
(Fine! Receive her call,)
He didn't need to call her back or something because after two missed calls Alfiya left a message asking when they will return Nusrat was asking
"Tum Alfiya se itni chidti kyu ho?" Placing his phone beside him, he crassed her hair and asked
(Why do you feel irritated with Alfiya?)
"Shohar ki ex fiancee se kisse achhi lagti Hai," mumbling under her breath she hugged his waist
(Who likes their husband's ex fiancee?)
"Woh Meri ex fiancee nahi Hai, bas Dadi ne aise hi ek baar Abbu se baat ki thi, woh bhi Abbu ne Mana Kar diya Tha,"
(She isn't my ex fiancee, dadi only talked about our marriage once but Abbu refused,)
"Agar apse pucha jata uske bare to?" Minahil asked in undertone, if Ashaj wasn't this close to her he wouldn't have able to understand her words
(If they have talked to you about it the?)
"Toh main bhi fouran Mana Kar deta,"
(I would have refused in a beat,)
"Kyu? Woh toh kafi khoobsurat Hai," she close the eyes in which insecurity was visible
(Why? She is really beautiful,)
"Khoobsurat toh woh Hai! Lekin mujhe khoobsurat ladkiyan nahi pasand is liye toh tumse Shaadi ki," his words made her angry as she smacked his arm making him laugh
(She is beautiful! But I don't like beautiful girls that's why I married to you,)
Her pouty lips again made him laugh but this time in love, cupping her face he kissed her forehead
"I love you!" Looking into her eyes he said making her lowered her lashes
To hide her blush she hide her face in his chest
"Tum nahi kahogi?" When sometimes later her reply didn't came he asked
(Won't you say it?)
"Kya?"
(What?)
"I love you too aur kya,"
"Kehna zaroori Hai?"
(Is it necessary to say?)
