I gasped at the sight of Roy and Alex both covered in blood and barely conscious.

Ty cursed under his breath and raised his spear.

"Now, now you don't want to do anything that you might regret", Zeref warned as Ophelia raised her sword to Roy's throat, drawing a small trail of blood.

Ty glared at the pale women, but he lowered his spear with a sigh of defeat.

"Thank you. Now we can have a civil conversation", Zeref sighed.

I bite my tongue to keep myself from cursing Zeref out for hurting my friends, but now wasn't the time for it. I settled for just glaring at Zeref. Then my gaze shifted to Alex and Roy then I thought to myself ;

Where's Jason?

A knot formed in my stomach as I thought of the worst. Part of me hoped that he was well and had just escaped. But when a sliver tipped arrow flew out of nowhere and impeded itself into Ty's back I wished Jason didn't make it.

Ty collapsed at the sudden attack and fell to the stone floor with a scream of pain. I rushed to his side immediately and shielded him from the chance of any more arrows.

I quickly looked back at the direction from where the arrow was shot and gasped at what I saw.

Jason stood bow and arrow in hand with a devilish grin.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting to do that!", Jason laughed.

I couldn't find the words to express how angry I was leaving me in a deadly silence as Ty cursed in a foreign language under me.

"Now, now Jason. Let's be civil", Zeref cooed, " We have more important things to do than stick a wounded pig."

Jason laughed before protesting.

"But it's so fun tormenting this jackass", he said gesturing to Ty.

"It is isn't? Very well go wild it's not like you could kill him anyway. Ophelia, keep them entertained while I finish the spell", Zeref ordered as he turned his back to us and stepped inside the magic circle.

Ophelia nodded and hissed ordered at the Askari. Jason jumped down from his perch and circled us along with the Askari and Ophelia.

Ty steadied himself on his spear and whispered to me.

"Pull the arrow out. Then out get Alex and Roy. I can take these guys."

"But you can't fight all of them. You're outnumbered", I pleaded barely above a whisper.

"Numbers don't win fights, skill does."

The enemy had us completely surrounded and Zeref laughed at us and began chanting the spell. The magic circle glowed a dark purple as the room began to rumble.

"Now", Ty ordered desperately.

I panicked and grabbed the sliver arrow and yanked as hard as I could. Ty cursed loudly as the arrow gave away. I held the arrow as blood dripped from its head.

"Sorry sorry", I apologize profusely.

"It's fine, go help them. I'll clear a path", he smirked at me as he stood to his full height.

Ty's eyes went white as his body and spear sparked with lightning. He glared violently at Jason who glared back.

"Don't give me that look. You can't be that surprised. I know your brother told you about me. Not like it did you or him for that fact any good. It's such a shame what Zeref did to him, oh well. We can't all be winners."

Ty let out an animalistic yell and slammed the hilt of his spear to the ground and lightning sprained threw the air in the shape of a sphere. Everyone surrounding us was through back the by the wild lightning. The only effect it had on me was my hair standing up as the lightning passed threw me with ease.

I took the chance and ran to Alex and Roy. One of the Askari got its bearings and swung at me. I dropped and knee slide under his arm to Alex.

The Askari was struck down by lightning before it could pursue me. I drew my sword and cut the ropes and gag.

"Thanks", Alex said free of the gag.

"Anytime", I said and I freed Roy.

They both got up and dusted themselves off. They then grabbed the swords of the electrocuted Askari in front of them and rushed into the grey and joined Ty in his fight against Ophelia and the other Askari.

Roy and Alex forced on the Askari while Ty made Ophelia his main focus. They seemed to be evenly matched as they kept up with each other even with Ty being hurt. Although neither one took their eyes off their opponent as they fought intensely.

As I scanned the battlefield I found that Jason had disappeared until I felt an agonizing pain in my leg.

I dropped my sword and cried out in pain as fell to the floor. I looked down and saw the sliver arrow priced the side of my thigh. I hissed in pain when I applied pressure to the wound. I looked up and was met with the familiar face of Jason smiling cockily down at me. He stalked towards me and kicked away my sword.

" Sorry about the leg, love. I just couldn't ruin that beautiful face of yours", He said as he kneeled down to my level.

He reached out and caressed my cheek. I pulled back as his fingers just brushed my skin and spit at him.

"Go to Hell", I hissed.

He calmly wiped the spit from his face then sighed.

"Come now, baby. I know you're upset but you don't have to be rude.

I glare at him with pure and utter hate.

"Why", I asked angrily.

"Everyone wants something and who doesn't want to rule the world."

"So Zeref promised you a throne next to his in exchange for selling out your friends", I scoffed at him.

"That among other things, yes", He smirked.

"Like what? Money? Power?", I asked sarcastically.

He laughed stoked the ends of my hair," You. If you survive that is."

I was taken back by his answer and didn't hold back my disgust. I tried to get up and away from him but the pain was too much and Jason grabbed me by my wrist.

"You're sick!", I shouted.

"It doesn't matter what you think of me now. Zeref is a master at manipulating the mind. When he's done with you you'll be so madly in love with me you won't know what to do without me."

"I'd die first", I spit.

I quickly used my free hand and grabbed the arrow in my thigh pulling it out in one clean yank, screaming in pain as I did, I then drove the arrow into Jason's right shoulder. Jason yelled and cursed while he pulled back in pain. I made a break for my sword and scrambled it into my hands, happy to have the cold steel grace my fingertips.

Jason charged at me blinded in rage and pain. I simply raised my sword and crashed the hilt into the side of his skull. He fell to the floor unconscious. I couldn't help but smirk at the small victory, but it was short-lived when purple lightning incased the tome.

I turned to Zeref and the magic circle. He was still chanting gibberish, but I can feel the power growing heavy in the air.

Ignoring the pain I stood and summoned my fire around my sword as my hair went ablaze. I ran and swung my flame sword at Zeref. Before my sword could hit Zeref turned and caught my sword, the fire not phasing him. The fire around me died as he looked down at me with pure black eyes. He laughed darkly as he used his other hand and picked me up by my throat.

"Such a foolish child. I've already won", Zeref said his voice echoing as if two people were speaking.

As gasped for air as Zeref suddenly collapsed and the room went dark. Everyone still in the darkness and an eerie silence hung in the room. I gingerly reached out and touched Lazurus' unconscious body. He was ice cold.

Then a small glow lit the tome from Zeref's stone coffin. The stone began to crack and the light illuminated the cracks. The floor itself even began to rumble and brake. My mind screamed at me to move but my body froze. Ty's arm suddenly wrapped around me and pulled me away grabbing Lazurus by his collars in the process.

Just as we were clear the light pulsed and the erupted with a bright light. The light faded but the overwhelming power still hung in the air.

In the rumbled stood a tall and lean man dressed in a long cloak and gold. His emerald eyes were cold and his features were sharper than my sword.

The man looked around the tome and smirked we his eyes fell on me still in Ty's hold. I swallowed hard as his gaze stunned me. There was no question that this man was Zeref, the immortal sorcerer.

I was when his gaze shifted from me when Ophelia stepped toward and kneeled before him. Ophelia was soon joined by Jason who looked out of shorts. He a large gash on his head and was holding his bloody shoulder.

No one moved as Zeref in his true body walked down from the ruins of his tome. He stopped in front of Ophelia and Jason who were kneeled before him. He reached out to Jason and cupped his chin tilting his head up to look at him.

"Thank you for your service, but it is no longer required", Zeref said in an eerie silver voice.

Jason opened his mouth to speak but he was cut off with a flick of Zeref's wrist, breaking his neck. Jason's lifeless body fell to the ground with a thud.

I gasped at the sudden action and turned from Jason's corpse into Ty's shoulder. He placed his hand on the back of my hand and held me tighter.

"What the Hell is wrong with you!", Roy cried furiously.

Zeref turned his hard to face him and shrugged carelessly.

" He served his propose. He's on longer useful to me and neither are you."

Zeref raised his hand and made a flicking motion. Alex and Roy fly back, pushed by an unseen force, into the rock wall.

They didn't move, but I was relieved when I saw them breathing.

" It feels so good to have my power back", Zeref laughed.

Ty stepped in front of me protectively and raised his spear. His sapphire eyes set on Zeref and Ophelia.

"How cute you still think you have a chance. My power has been restored to its full strength. Any hope you have of winning is futile."

Lighting sparked wildly off of Ty. He held a dangerous look in his eye that I had never seen before and spoke in a stranger's voice.

" This is where you die, Zeref", he said monotonously.

" I believe you have us confused", Zeref smirked as he opened his hand.

A large black orb grew from nothing and rested in his hand. He threw the ball at us and it split into multiple smaller spheres, too many for us to block. The black orbs explored into the floor, sending Ty and I flying in opposite directions.

The attack left me dazed and my ears were ringing uncontrollably as I felt nauseous. I was suddenly yanked up by black hands. I was able to get my bearings enough to know Ophelia was the one holding me back.

Zeref stalked over to Ty who was dazed worse than I was. Zeref held out his hand and a familiar sword appeared in his hand.

The Elder Dragon Sword.

The moment I saw the sword I fought against Ophelia's hold, but I was no match for her supernatural strength.

I yelled desperately at Ty until Ophelia clasped her over my mouth.

"I going to enjoy this", Zeref laughed.

I continued my muffed cries as Zeref raised the sword. Zeref laughed maniacally as he brought the sword down.

But in a matter of seconds, the shadows behind Zeref moved and then stood a familiar face that then ran his jet black sword threw Zeref chest.

Sardis.
