《Pied Piper | {K.NJ}》Chapter 15

Seokjin noticed Namjoon being restless and he glanced over at where he was looking at. He studied the boy's expression and turned to Min and Hoseok who also noticed the same thing.
Namjoon turned back to them and noticed that they were looking at him. His cheeks ended up turning a bit pink and he looked down to avoid eye contact with any of them.
He fidgeted in his seat uncomfortably as they continued to stare at him. He let out a sigh and stood up.
"Umm I'm going off first," he excused himself shyly and quickly escaped from his hyungs.
They nodded at him and he left the cafe while taking a quick glance at you who was also looking at him.
"Why are kids nowadays so complicated?" Seokjin asked as he watched the boy walked away and his sister definitely not being so obvious.
"They are kind of both your kids though," Min reminded him which made Seokjin looked at him in shock. He couldn't really make a good comeback to it so he just kept his mouth shut.
Min stared at you and Jimin seated at the table and shook his head.
"I feel bad for Namjoon though. That boy had never felt love with the other gender. Just breaking hearts and now he's in love. He just had to fall for a girl who's way younger than him and has a boyfriend."
Min let out a sigh and Hoseok made a noise in agreement. Hoseok also turned to look at (Y/N) and Jimin and his heart ached as he saw how Jimin just smiled at (Y/N) without knowing anything.
"But then I feel bad for Jiminie though. That boy is such an angel and he doesn't know anything. He had always spent his life loving only one girl and yet the fate decided to play with feelings, making that girl waver her feelings towards him. Falling for another."
Hoseok glanced at Min and Min glanced back at him, nodding to each other as they totally understood what they were saying.
"I hope she makes up her mind soon," Min added.
"Why choose when she can date both?"
Both of them looked at Seokjin with their mouths wide open.
"What?" he asked, feeling confused at their reaction.
"Are you sure you are an angel? Coz that is definitely not right in the laws of love of human life."
"Yeah hyung. That's just wrong."
"Nothing can be wrong when she's as fabulous as I am. Besides even if she did choose one, will fate let that love live? We are standing on the thin thread that he made us walk on. He could do anything and we wouldn't be able to stop it. You know it the best, Min."

Min just looked away even though he definitely knew what Seokjin was talking about.
It was never their choice. Life depended on him. Whatever he does, it will happen. No one had control over their own lives and he knew it the best.
"Anyways, I'm going to meet him soon."
Min's eyes widened and his ears twitched.
"Let me come with you.
"No, Min. You know how it works."
Min clicked his tongue and jumped off the counter. The other two just stared at the cat without saying anything, in worry of ending up making him feel worse.
Min stood still at his spot but did not turn back.
"Please do take care of yourself though."
"Of course," Seokjin said with a smile.
Then Min walked off.

You had not been able to think straight ever since you came back home after the little cafe plus work date with Jimin. You paced around in your own room nervously.
"Why am I even feeling this way?! Like I'm so guilty that I'm holding hands with Jimin when Namjoon's there and I also feel guilty because I was looking at Namjoon while I'm dating Jimin. Like what the heck, heart?!"
You plopped onto your bed and shoved your face into the pillow in frustration. You let out a deep groan and rolled on the bed, not being able to stay still.
"Kim Namjoon why did you have to suddenly appear and make me feel this way?"
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
Namjoon sat on his bed while staring at the wall. Min was in his devil form, sitting at the side near his flute that was on the table. He studied the boy who was being unusually quiet.
"It's not wrong, Namjoon."
Namjoon looked at Min while tilting his head in confusion. Min let out a sigh.
"It's not wrong to love her."
Namjoon finally got what he was trying to say. He dropped his head down and stared at his hands.
"I don't know though. She has a boyfriend."
"But she likes you too."
"I don't know about that. I'm just afraid that I might end up messing her up. I'm only capable of breaking hearts."
Namjoon bit the bottom of his lips as he didn't really wanted to talk about this topic but since they were already on it, he might as well let it all out.
"You know it best. How it feels like to lose someone important. Fate will play it's part and it's scary not knowing what will happen."
After he finished his sentence, he glanced at the other, worried about hurting him. Contrary to his prediction, Min looked rather calm.

Min got off his seat and held the flute in his hand.
"We know that we are living in the hands of his."
He walked towards him and placed the flute in his hands.
"But you should at least make sure she knows your feelings and enjoy while it lasts. She will at least be able to make up her mind instead of rolling on the bed in confusion."
Namjoon was about to ask how he knew that she's rolling on the bed but remembered that he's a devil and he could do anything. So, he just nodded his head. He grabbed the flute in his hand and smiled.
"I guess I should then. Well, this goes for nothing."
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You stared at the ceiling above you as if answers would pop up. And of course that didn't happen.
You sighed deeply and sat up. You couldn't sleep anyways so there's no point in laying on the bed. Getting off the bed, you grabbed your phone that was on the table and immediately you were checking out the updates on Pied Piper.
When you realised what you were doing, you became flustered and closed the browser.
"I'm not thinking straight."
Instead of staying in your room, you decided to head downstairs and maybe distract yourself by watching television.
You could hear the television being played as you went down the stairs. In the living room, you saw your brother with his laptop.
Seokjin looked at you as you plopped down on the sofa beside him.
"Something wrong?"
You shook your head and reached out for the remote to start changing channels. Seokjin stared at you for a while before focusing on his screen again. You leaned back comfortably after you find something interesting to watch.
From the corner of your eye, you noticed your brother staring seriously at the screen so you leaned towards him and glanced at the monitor but didn't really understand what was written there. It looked like some foreign language to you.
"Oppa? You don't really work at the insurance company, right?"
"Umm Yeah. About that. I never really worked for any human's company. Angels get paid a lot."
"Really? Like a lot?"
"Yeah a lot."
You made an 'o' with your mouth as you drew back to your position and focused on the show that was being played.
But that didn't last long. Your attention was completely grasped by the sweet sound of the flute that entered your ears and immediately reaching to your heart. And it was not the normal ones. It was that music that he played before which got you on your toes immediately.
You rolled your eyes and grabbed your shoes before heading to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Namjoon's."
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You didn't really rush or anything. You just went down the familiar street and headed to his house. The sound guiding, not controlling, you as always.
You reached the place after a few minutes walk and he was waiting for you while playing his flute. It was like that time before, a magical performance. Blue musical notes floating in the air. The only difference was that it was only you and Namjoon this time.
You headed towards him and waited for him to finish playing. This was the first time you actually heard the entire piece and it was definitely beautiful. No words needed to describe how wonderful it sounded, filling up your heart.
You knew it was reaching to an end when your heart started pacing up. You felt a bit disappointed when he finished his performance. Nonetheless, you applauded when he bowed at you.
"Hey, little kitten."
He beamed at you. You shook your head with a smile.
"Targeting me?"
"Just wanted to see you. I wouldn't want to break your heart."
"Well that's pleasant to hear."
He chuckled and you watched him. The way he laughed was so beautiful and his laughter sounded like music in your ears.
He bent down to you so that he was at the same eye level as you. You blinked your eyes nervously due to the sudden closeness.
He took a step closer and reached his hand out to touch your face. The eyes still in contact with you. None of you breaking it.
He moved his face closer and pressed his lips against yours. You knew it was coming but it was still surprising to you. You didn't push him away. You did hesitate at first but soon you closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his neck.
His lips were soft and tasted like strawberry. You could feel his warm breath brushing against your cheeks. Your heart was pounding against your chest like crazy but your mind was blank. Everything just felt perfect.
He pulled himself away from you and you looked up at him. His smile still visible on his face with dimples on the sides. He tugged your hair behind your ear and gazed into your eyes.
"I love you, (Y/N)."
