《Pied Piper | {K.NJ}》Chapter 5

You yawned as you stretched your arms out on the table, with head placed on it. You were trying your best to stay awake but it was definitely difficult as you had again spent another night without sleeping.
"(Y/N)~ if this continues, I'm afraid you might faint."
You turned to your pouting boyfriend and grinned.
"Don't worry. And it's not like I can do anything about it."
"If I see that Pied Piper, I'll tell him to stop bothering my Girlfriend's beauty sleep."
He said it as he threw a fist in the air and his lips were sucked in with determination. You laughed at his cute actions and pulled his cheeks. He gave you a cheeky grin as you did that.
"Jimin! Let's play Soccer!" one of his friends called out to him.
"Oh... uhhh.."
He glanced at you as if asking for permission and you gestured him to go. He looked a bit down but he put on a smile as he gave your hand a tight grip.
"I want to go on a date with you after school. It's been long since we hang out."
You told him sure and his face lightened up immediately. You watched him skip towards his friends and exchanged waves before leaving.

"Oooooooh~ These lovebirds. I smell love in the air~!"
You rolled your eyes as Minji flapped her hand in the air with a smirk. The girls gathered to sit around your table.
"So? You are saying you've met Pied Piper?" Jiyeon asked.
"Yeah... but then I'm not supposed to be his target so it's strange."
"That is true. Because there's new victim every night." Jiyeon folded her arms and had a serious look on her face. She was trying to figure out exactly what was happening because she just loves to solve mysteries.
"I know you are having fun, Jiyeon."
She stared at the three of you and laughed.
"Was it too obvious?"
All of you gave her a look and she rubbed her neck sheepishly.
"But then again, why is (Y/N) being caught up in this mess?" Eunha asked.
"That is something we won't know unless (Y/N) figures it out herself." Jiyeon answered seriously.
You knew exactly what she meant. You are all in this alone and only you and him would have to figure out why this is happening. You gripped onto your skirt as you could feel your heart beating nervously. This meant that you would have to meet him.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
As you promised, you and Jimin were on a date.
"Hoseok hyung! I want the usual~!"
Hoseok had a much bigger smile than usual as he saw the two of you entering the cafe, holding hands. He looked at the two of you adorably.

"Aww my children!" He squealed and hugged the two of you.
The two of you settled at one of the empty window seat. Jimin was in a good mood. He always is but he's in a very good mood today. Probably because he got to go on a date with you.
The two of you do hang out a lot but only at school or visiting each other's house. You don't really go on like a big date or anything so a simple cafe date is special to Jimin.
You checked your phone as you waited for your order to arrive while Jimin played with your finger. You were sitting face to face so you had one hand stretched out so that Jimin can hold your hand while the other was holding the phone.
You were trying to check the latest updates in case you can find a clue or something.
"Have you figure out anything, (Y/N)?"
You shook your head and glanced at Jimin who was laying his head on the table and staring at your fingers. He seemed bored.
"Is there anything you want to do, Jimin?"
He lifted his head and wet his lips nervously as he was shocked when you asked that.
"D-did I look too obvious?"
You giggled and placed your phone down. You placed your hand, the one he's not holding, on top of his.
"Well how was your Soccer game?"
"I scored five goals leading my team to victory again! I'll be having a match next week. Hopefully you will come?"
He tilted his head as he asked the question and looked at you with puppy eyes. This meant that 'no' was not a choice of answer.
"Of course I will, Jimin."
He shifted his hands so that both of your hand was on his palm and he raised it up in the air, giggling happily. He then pulled one of your hand towards his face and planted a kiss on the back of your hand.
Hoseok cleared his throat to get your attention as he placed the meal on the table. Jimin let go of your hand and smiled shyly.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
It was in the middle of the date when you got distracted. Jimin excused himself to go to the toilet.
You used your phone as you waited and glanced at the window once in a while because you tend to do that when you are bored. At first you thought it was just your imagination but you looked twice and he was definitely there.
You stared out of the window as you ate your food. Right there across the street, Namjoon was with a girl who looked like she's in her early 20s.

The girl seemed to be very pissed with her arms wandering about in the air and she seemed to be saying something.
However, Namjoon seemed rather composed as if it was something he was used to. The girl stomped on her foot and raised her hand to slap him. You gasped as her hand moved.
Namjoon managed to grab her hand before she managed to do that and he still had that smile on his face. But it was not the same smile. This smile was more normal like it just felt different.
He said something to her and she ran away with her hands covering her face. You could tell that she was crying and you figured out that she must be a victim.
Namjoon placed his hands in his pocket and looked up. The two of you made an eye contact and you quickly broke it. From the corner of your eye, you glanced at him and he was still standing there, looking at you.
You turned to look at him and when he noticed it, a smile formed on his face. The one where his dimples pop at the side of his cheeks. You stared at him as he left once he finished smiling at you.
You didn't notice that Jimin was already back in the seat for the past few minutes. He just continued eating, not saying anything. So, when you turned back and saw him, you jumped in your seat slightly.
He just smiled at you and pointed at the window.
"Is he the one?"
You told him he was and Jimin checked him out.
"I'll admit he's handsome."
He cupped his face with both of his hands and looked at you.
"Do you like him?"
"Wha-"
He poked your forehead with his finger and shook his head side to side.
"You can't do that. You are mine. Understood?"
He drew his finger back and folded his arm. Lips slightly apart as he waited for your response.
"Yes yes I am yours, Park Jimin."
Satisfied with your answer, he grinned and focused on eating again.
You knew it after all. That you have Jimin and he's dangerous. But why is it that your heart couldn't stop racing and your mind couldn't stop thinking about him.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
Jimin walked you back home and headed back home after greeting Seokjin. The two had a nice talk while you went up to wash up. You were told that he left without saying goodbye to you because his parents were rushing him to come back.
"So, did you have fun?"
"We talked and ate at Hoseok oppa's cafe."
Seokjin told you that he had invited Jimin for dinner sometime and you agreed that it's a good idea. You told him that Jimin had been missing his food and it made Seokjin happy.
You went up to your room since you had already eaten. Since you had some assignments to complete, you took out your books and got onto it. You are not a complete studious person but you do your work and your grades are high. Also, you didn't want to be nagged by your Brother.
You put on your headphones, listening to your favourite tracks. It helped you concentrate better until your heart started pumping vigorously all of a sudden.
You dropped your pen as you were shocked by the sudden movement of your heart. You wondered what was happening and took off your headphone. That was when you realised that the flute was being played.
You groaned and placed your hands over your head. The sound of the flute didn't need to be heard. As long as it's being played, your heart will react to it trying to inform you and get you to listen to it.
You figured this can't do and you got up from your chair. You ran down the stairs and Seokjin called out to you, asking where you were going.
"Near here. Just a few minutes and I'll be back!" You shouted as you quickly rushed out of the door.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You didn't even need to recall the direction, the music was guiding you to the place. Your feet didn't stop until you reached his house. He was once again sitting at the window sill, while playing his flute.
He paused and stared at you once he noticed your presence.
"My my little kitten. Visiting me late at night again?"
He got down and walked towards you.
You breathed in deeply, trying to catch your breath and stood up straight.
"Y-your flute is annoying!" You snapped and covered your mouth once you realised what you just blurted out. That wasn't what you were planning to say and you screwed it up.
He blinked his eyes and bursted out laughing. You couldn't believe he was laughing and not angry at you.
"You are really interesting."
He gave you that smile again.
You blushed pretty hard and tried to think of something to say but you had forgotten everything because of his smile.
"But I guess I do feel kind of bad for you as well and I've been trying to figure out why. Maybe you are different. You must be someone special."
"L-like what?"
He leaned in closer to you and his hand reached out to your face. He held your chin up and kissed you on the forehead.
"My soulmate."

System Supervillain
I was there when it happened. When the walls of reality came crashing down upon us. When everything changed. I was there. I watched it happen. There wasn’t anything I could do, of course. When two veritable demigods are fighting to the death, getting caught in between is a great way to end up very dead. Or worse. That’s when it happened. Raw time crashed with pure paradox, and the universe itself screamed in torment. Night turned to day turned to yesterday and tomorrow and blue and yellow and whale and petunia, and then it snapped back, all at once, with a thunderous roar that was not heard but felt. And then I saw the blue box for the first time. ------------ A System Apocalypse event happens in a world of superheroes, like you would see in the comic books. What happens when the world changes, and heroes and villains are now bound by a System that limits their powers? What will change, and what will remain the same?
