Leah was already having a terrible day and when Kara told her what her mom did, her adoptive mom did, she rushed over to CatCo. She walked into her mother's office, not caring if she was busy or not, "Mom."

Cat pulled her glasses off, looking up at her, "Yes, Leah dear?"

"You're firing Kara?"

Cat hummed, "I'm not firing Ker-rah." She moved her hands together, "I'm simply outing her."

"Mom, she's not Supergirl." Leah sighs loudly, "You're going to cost Kara her job, she works hard here."

"And if she can prove to me that she is not Supergirl she can keep her job," Cat explains as if it was the simplest thing.

Leah bit the inside of her lip, thinking of ways to convince her mom that Kara was not Supergirl, "Mom..." She walked out to the veranda, "Come talk with me out here. I need the fresh air."

Cat sighs, strutting over to her daughter, "Leah, I know you want me to believe-"

Leah pushed her over the side of the veranda, Cat's scream echoed loudly as she plummeted down to earth. Leah jumped off the side, quickly in her costume, discarding her clothes on the veranda and caught her mom before she hit the ground, flying back up to the veranda and setting her gently down.

Instead of the reaction, Leah was expecting, Cat began to hit her daughter, even if it did no damage, "You just threw your mother off a roof to prove a point!"

"Mom." Leah groans, "Look, I am Captain Marvel, and I can tell you that Kara is not Supergirl."

"Yes, you've proven to me that you, my baby girl, is an alien that saves the city, but you have not given me the proof that Ker-rah is not Supergirl."

"Mom!" Leah exhales, "You don't believe me."

"This is my hypothesis, and you know how I feel about being right."

Leah threw her hands up in the air, as her mom sauntered back into her office, "I've literally outed myself as Captain Marvel and all you care about is proving Kara wrong?"

Cat smiled over at her, "Yes, dear. It is true, I was not expecting you to be Captain Marvel, but now that I know, your secret is safe with me."

Leah's arms dropped down to her side, still in her suit, her eyes following her mother as she left the room. She got so upset she flew out of the place.

Katie sat at her desk typing away, doing her normal day work, when Leah walked over, dressed in her normal clothes, "Why did I see Captain Marvel standing in Miss Grant's office?"

"Because I told my mom."

Katie's typing stopped entirely, her head quickly turning to Leah, "You did what?"

Leah rubbed at the side of her arm, "I told my mother, I thought if she knew that Captain Marvel was me, she would back off of Kara."

"Did she back off?"

Leah shook her head, readjusting her glasses, "She's stubborn."

"I see where you got it from." Katie muses, turning her attention back to her work. Leah grabbed the cord of the computer and tugged it out, "All my work!"

"Please, you were on Tumblr." Leah rolled her eyes, she plopped down in the seat next to her.

Katie gasped at her, looking mock offended, "Hey, all that work was important. My blog will not write itself."

"What is your blog about?"

Katie scratched the back of her head, "Aliens."

Leah pursed her lips, leaning back into the chair, "Aliens? Right, Winn is your twin."

"I get it, I get it. Winn and I are literally the same person." Katie rolled her eyes, plugging her computer back in.

Leah grinned, "Well, other than the fact that you're single and he's got a girlfriend."

Katie breathed in deeply, giving Leah a tight smile, "You're right about that." She stood up from her spot, "I'm gonna go grab something from downstairs."

"What?" Leah was confused for a minute, watching as Katie retreated as fast as she could away from Leah. Leah caught Katie's hand going up to cover her mouth. "Katie!" She got up, but stood still, sighing.

Winn smiled at his girlfriend, "Awe, waiting for me by my desk?"

"I was talking with Katie."

"You were?" Winn glanced around, "Where did she go?"

"I think I might have upset her..."

Winn laughed, but then he noticed that Leah was being serious, "What did you do?"

"I just teased her." Leah shrugs, not entirely sure why she got upset, "I said you had a girlfriend and she didn't have a boyfriend."

Winn cringes just as the words left Leah's mouth, "That's where you messed up." Leah tilted her head in confusion, unsure what he meant, "She's gotten pretty sensitive when it comes to boyfriends because she hasn't had one since like middle school. And now practically everyone she knows is getting in relationships but her."

"But Kara-"

"Kara likes James and it's obviously he likes her back." Winn mumbles, he looks up and sees James nodding for him to go over, "I'll see you at home, okay?"

"Okay." Winn gave her a quick kiss and rushed over to where James was.

Kara ran over to Leah, "Astra gave up the location of their base."

Leah squinted at Kara, "You're joking right, my mother would never do that, despite all the torture she is probably going through."

"I know. That's why we're going."

"I'm right behind you."

Leah flies behind Kara landing inside the containment center, she looked around but everything was lined with lead. Kara lands in front of her sister, "The containers are lined with lead. We can't see through them."

"Right, Echo Team. Search those containers and check your six."

Leah and Kara look at each other and nod, both girls walking to where no soldiers went to check. Leah looked at the lock, using her heat vision to melt it open. She grabbed the doors, pulling them wide, "Hank." They walk forward inside, but there was a beep. Hank's form flickered away, revealing a blinking crystal.

"Bomb!"

Kara's eyes widen, "Everyone get down!"

Leah grabbed the closest soldier behind her, and threw him to safety, while Kara covered Alex with her cape. Leah rolled up, moving her face away from the blast. Once the flames extinguished Leah stood up and looked around, "Oh..."

"No." The one soldier said, "My soldiers..."

"It was a trap."

"Astra played us." Kara breaths out.

🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆

Leah slowly walked into her mother's containment center, her eyes wary as she looked down at her. Astra didn't turn her back, she sat on the floor, balled up, "They sent you back to try again. What makes you think it'll be any different this time?"

"Because now, I'm ready to hear what you have to say. I was afraid to listen before. But today, I got so upset, I couldn't think. I didn't want to. I just wanted to hurt someone. Because I was afraid of losing everything that mattered to me. Like you must've felt back home. But if we have any hope for the future, we can't let our fear control us. We have to be better." Leah says softly.

"You give me too much credit."

Leah moved closer to the glass, "That is because I know the real you, mother."

"The mother you knew died on Krypton." Astra turned her head to look up at her daughter, there were tear stains down her face.

"I still have faith, Kara still has faith, that there is still good in you mother."

"I am not worth your faith."

"Everyone deserves faith, mother, even you. Now tell me what happened on Krypton. The truth."

Astra spoke slowly to her daughter, explaining what had happened, "Your Aunt never stopped believing in me. You are so much like her, Ka, more her than me."

Leah rubbed her eyes, turning her head away from her mother for a split second, then turning back to her, "It's not too late, mother. Please tell me where Henshaw is."

"The only way to save him is to make the trade. The humans will never agree to that."

Kara walked into the room, her arms crossed over her chest, "Then it's a good thing I'm not human." She turned her head, "Alex, the cuffs."

Alex came in, looking at Astra, "Don't make this hard."

Astra stuck her arms up in front of her once the door open, allowing Alex to cuff her. Kara and Leah walked behind Astra. They had Katie, in her suit, walking a little ahead of them. General Lane stopped them, "What do you think you're doing?"

"Making a prisoner exchange."

"The hell you are." General Lane had his men aim their guns at them. Making the DEO agents aim their guns back.

Alex looked at her men, Let us pass, General."

"That alien is the enemy, Agent Danvers."

Katie scoffs at him, her arms crossed, "Your orders were to bring Director Henshaw home. That's what we're doing."

"You take one more step and my men will put you down."

Leah shook her head, "I'm not so sure about that." Her eyes move to the soldier that she had saved the night before.

The soldier put his gun down, "She saved my life, sir." He looked to the rest of the men, making them put their guns down.

"How do you know Non and his army won't betray you?"

Leah turned back to him, "I don't." Her eyes move to her mother, "But I have faith."

🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆

Katie stood up straight, looking warily at Astra, she moved closer to Alex and her, "I'm sorry."

Astra turned her head ever so slightly to look at Katie, "It was your orders."

Leah and Kara landed down in front of them, "They're here."

Non landed down, setting Henshaw beside him. Alex pulled the cuffs off of Astra, taking a step away from her. Astra glanced at her daughter before walking toward Non. Non pushed at Hank, "Go."

Hank made it over to them, Alex nodded, "It's good to see you, sir." Leah watched as Astra hugged Non, making her heart wrench. She remembered her childhood and all the loving hugs they shared when she was a child.

"When I get out of here, I'll remind you about our policy against negotiating with terrorists. Until then, I'll just say thanks."

Kara took a step forward, looking around, "Something's wrong."

Katie's head moved around, "We're surrounded."

"You have to transform." Katie turned her head to Alex in confusion.

"Prepare to attack!" Non yells to all his men. Katie pulled the bracelet from her wrists, her arms engulfing in flames immediately.

"Stop!" Astra called out, "Stand down!"

"We must strike now, General. We have them at our mercy."

Astra looked at him, "Honor the agreement, Non. There will be no more battles today."

"Withdraw!" Non yells to his men, flying away with them.

"Do not mistake my compassion for weakness. This is not a truce."

Leah stared at her mother, "Then let's call it a start!"

🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆

"You've only delayed the inevitable. This enemy cannot be reasoned with."

"We prefer a more thoughtful approach here at the DEO, General. Which reminds me..." Henshaw dropped a folder in front of him, "Your presence is no longer required. You can thank my agents for completing your mission."

"Their idealism will doom this planet."

"No." Hank gave the four girls a smile, "That's what will save it."

All the men left the room, Katie turned to Hank, "So... What did Alex mean when she said you had to transform?"

Kara nodded, "Yeah, did you forget some of us have super hearing?"

*~*

Kara walked into the room, her arms in the air, "You're from Mars!?"

"And you're from Krypton."

Leah walked behind them, "Then why stay hidden?"

"I'm trying to make the world a safe place for everyone. Humans and aliens alike. I failed Alex's father before I assumed the identity of Hank Henshaw. I won't fail again."

"And you saw what the DEO is like under General Lane. So, we need Hank, J'onn, at the top."

Kara crossed her arms, "You know, you guys could've told me. I can keep a secret."

"No, you can't." Katie, Alex, Leah, and Hank said at the same time.

🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆~🎆

Leah landed next to Kara on her mother's balcony, walking in behind her. Cat smiled at her daughter, then looked at Supergirl, "And I never realized how absurd you look in that ridiculous outfit. Blue, yellow, and red. It's like a color wheel threw up."

"I'm sorry to bother you, Miss Grant." Kara looked at Leah, "But your daughter said you wanted to see me. Something about you thinking your assistant was me?"

"Oh, for God's sake, are we gonna keep on playing this tiresome game?"

Kara, the real Kara, walking into the room, glasses and all, "I told you it wasn't a game, Miss Grant."

"I'm sorry, I'm afraid we can't stay long. There're a lot of people out there who need help. As you well know." Leah smiled smugly at her mom, earning an annoyed glare from her. J'onn extended his hand to Kara, "Nice to meet you, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, too. I really like your outfit."

"I like your glasses."

"Thanks." Kara chuckles, looking all bashful.

Cat clears her throat, "We're finished here. Kara, stop treating Supergirl like she's your personal assistant. She has important work to do. As do you. This bottle will not refill itself."

"Goodnight Miss Grant, Kara." 'Supergirl' flew out first.

Leah grinned at her mom, "Told you."
